My dad said my aunts brother had one like 20 years ago, and theirs never filled up that much. I think you need a lot more weight so you can fill the cabin more with air. He said the water was below the fold down seats. Maybe it was a different model, but he said it looked the same. He also said it's important to have the water in the cap low because co2 is heavier than air, so it sinks, and if the water is rite where you're breathing, you're just breathing in co2.
Yeah I think part of the problem is that it’s designed for salt water… not fresh. More weights and in the ocean and it’ll probably perform more like it was designed to.
@StarSwarm idk salt water is more buoyant it would be even harder to keep on the bottom probably
I thought the same thing. The controls under water is definitely not how they designed it.
Looked great fun but was a bit worried about poor yappy, could tell he was struggling when he started pulling the collar of his wet suit and was turning white and holding his nose. Love the sub videos but feel like you may be under utilizing the subscribe so far, maybe getting it into some more open and deeper water will give you a chance to dial in your buoyancy control? Get a better feel for how it reacts with minor to moderate buoyancy adjustments along with directional up and down thrust instead of just opening the valves completely and just dropping to the bottom. Would love to see you explore some salt water reefs in the sub!
thats what i was thinking exactly, if you could loosen the valve and only let off enough air to sink slowly and use the props to hover. i want to see it hit the open sea

It’s funny how all the submarine videos are popping up now since titan imploded 😂 there was more safety in these 2 subs than the titan haha
When i was stationed in Okinawa there is a spot called Hiji Falls where we used to jump from high spots into the river. I hid a spare air in a small cave under the waterfall and did a nice flippy into the water. I swam up under the waterfall where it was so stirred up you couldn't see, and hid. After a few seconds of me not surfacing everyone jumped in looking for me. I had about 5 minutes of air. After 5 minutes i swam out like i was only gone a second. Funniest stuff ever.

I have a suggestion for the big sub aka the Sub - Sribe, you should put a fish ruler on it in case you don't have your jigging jet boat (the green boat in the video with you guys), for fishing challenges and whatnot
