Holden is going on the spacewalk alone because The Investigator can only manifest for him when there is nobody else around him.

Great reaction as always, Wren. I like the Melba backstory/reveal in this episode. Gives her actions a focus or reason. Absolutely love the Camina Drummer speech. I always find the words and the delivery of those words, generating a sense of pride and motivation. Like I'm a belter.
    Looking forward to next time.

The beautiful establishing shot of the Behemoth against the background of the Ring shows that even as large a ship as that one is dwarfed by the Ring.

That's funny, you said exactly what I came here to comment on. Back in season 1, when it's at Tyco station you get a few shots of the ship that reveal scale and you think WOW!!
Then they show it against the ring in this episode and you have to think HOLY SHIT! 😮

"Those are words." You are correct. One of the best descriptions you are going to find for the Investigator.

the need to cram a whole book into half a season was due to the fact that they didn't have a commitment from SyFy for season 4 yet, and when you get to the end of this season, you'll see why it was really, _really_ important to them that they get to that point before anyone could cancel the show

    Good morning Wren!
I really love this episode... the mounting tension, the big Melba reveal, all the QUESTIONS. Such a great part of The Expanse!

I like that Anna still is self aware enough that she understands she is indulging in a selfish desire, even if it is going against her tenets. Given that, I find human behavior is that people usually look for justifications for the bias that they want, I feel this makes sense, and prayer may not be the thing you want to do if you already decided what you want. But then this can go down a whole conversation about confirmation bias, epistemology, integrity, etc.

    Nice reaction Wren!
There's a lot of unanswered questions but answers are coming!
Back in season two when Chrisjen gave her hell fire speech to Erinwright, he mentioned that Mao had another daughter named Clarissa!
Anna became one of my favorite characters! You'll see why!
This dynamic between Holden and Proto Miller is very strange!
Looking forward to the next one!

Yes, he mentioned a "second daughter" once and then mentioned her by name a second time.

Howdy G'day Wren Ma'am , I see the Corelation between the belters and Earthers not unlike British Commonwealth Countries Belters being New Zealand and Outers🌏 Australia being tougher and Aussies being somewhat softer yet both being dependent on earth other , who knows its only a thought I thunked . Thank you Wren

Nice reaction While the 3rd book was "crammed" into half a season, Naomi's arc on the Behemoth was not part of that. In fact, in the books, Naomi never left the Roci. Also, keep in mind that Drummer wasn't introduced in the books until book 5. There have been several changes between books and show as part of adapting to the different medium. After watching the entire series, most people feel the series is better than the books, which are still geat. Of course, there are different opinions.

I'm one who thinks the series is better...with one exception to be mentioned later.

10:30 I had the same thought a little earlier, I think that is the problem with religious characters written by people who has no understanding of the faith the characters should have. it becomes hollow.

Not religious but I had the same thought. Not sure the writers need to understand the faith - sometimes knowing something too well can get in the way of describing it - but they needed to have thought it through much more seriously

It has taken months to get all those ships out to the Ring. Naomi has been on the Behemoth for a long time. We just didn't get to see it. (and, as others have said, Naomi wasn't on the Behemoth in the books, so this is all new). Good observations on Melba and Anna. As for the Ring, the Ringspace and the Nucleus - all will be revealed, gradually/eventually in true Expanse style.

The context of space really makes our parochial ideas about our competing religions seem rather small and silly.

Taking it slow and gentle, you can even get the behemoth into the ring near Uranus
