Gunnery Sargeant ("gunny") Draper was looking at the end of the episode first at the footage of that training run in the valley with her team and then at the prediction / simulation of what the Mariner Valley on Mars will look like 100 years into the future if the terraforming project continues on track - the same projection she was looking at at the beginning, after the training exercise. She is looking at "the dream of Mars" that Chrisjen's old friend, Franklin was talking about - taking a lifeless rock and turning it into a garden, a multi-generational project.

The data card Lopez had, and Fred Johnson now has was the combat information from the Donnager, with drive signatures and information about the stealth ships, it didn't have anything about the Protomolecule. If Fred knows anything about it, it's not from that data card.
The Martian ship, the Scirroco was en route to investigate Pheobe Research Station, which was the Donnager's last mission was - they were on their way back when they picked up Holden and crew, so it's the only clue that the Powers That Be have about why the Donnager was attacked. The Earth ship was going there for the same reason, and the Martians decided to destroy Pheobe rather than let Earth find whatever secrets were there.
Pheobe is an extra-solar object, a rock that came from outside our solar system, which means that whatever they found there, the Protomolecule, must also be from outside our solar system.
The guy on TV is like a Doctors Without Borders guy. He only knows that something bad has happened on Eros, but not exactly what. Bobbie (Gunny) was looking at a simulation of what that area of Mars would look like after 100 years of terraforming.
Amos doesn't pick fights, but he has zero hesitation ending them. Keep coming at him and you may trigger his prey drive. That...can end very badly for you.
Gunnery Sargeant Roberta Draper was up on that hill imagining what Mars would look like once terraforming had been completed. Mars has large amounts of frozen water underground, and the available sunlight can be enhanced by the strategic placement of magnifying mirrors to redirect and focus Sol's light on the Martian surface. The atmosphere is thin and shy of oxygen, but that, too, can be adjusted by the introduction of plant life that is suited to living in the thin atmosphere at high altitudes on Earth and uses CO2 for photosynthesis and excretes O2. I'm not sure what the plan is to thicken the atmosphere on Mars, but I'm am sure there is one. The terraforming of Mars is feasible right now, albeit it is going to take a lot of time, wor, and money to do so. First we have to get there.
If you can read the display it says "simulation". All the displaysconsoles are detailed, many with good information. Not just a bunch of red , green, blue buttons.
Well worth stopping the video in most cases.

6:43 it was an interesting experience watching this episode when it originally aired because (at least in some places) due to some mistake this scene with Avasarala was not actually in the episode, but then they included part of it in the "previously on The Expanse" recap at the beginning of the next one, and everyone was terribly confused
Oh wow, I didn't know that. But why would they do that? It seems like it would just make everyone very confused
@@andiecph These things happen sometimes when they edit things down to fit more commercials in. :/ The trouble is that those at the TV station who are doing the editing haven't watched the whole series, so they can't possibly have a sense of what's safe to edit.
The series Firefly got utterly butchered by Fox back in the day. But it was because they broadcast the episodes out of order, all jumbled up. It was crazy.

The UN and Mars know that something has happened on Eros that appears to be a virus outbreak. The French doctor on the broadcast was apparently Doctors Without Borders and was urging a UN medical mission to Eros. Dresden was talking about the Protomolecule being deliberately sent by some alien intelligence toward Earth. He and Mao are studying it, but Errinwright wants a weapon system from it, as we heard in the conversation between him and Mao. Mao was annoyed the they had evidence of extraterrestrial life, and all Errinwright saw in it was the possibility of a weapons system.
There's no evidence that Mars knows anything more about the Protomolecule than Lt Lopez told last season. They know it's something significant that Earth had covered up. They couldn't get there first, so they destroyed it.
Gunny Draper (Bobbie) was looking at a representation of what Mars would look like in the future when it's been terraformed to a green planet.
There are some significant errors in this interpretation.

Amos is very pragmatic and deliberate. He definitely hadn't snapped! He told Miller to stay down! Amos goes to the quickest resolution as possible! Its just that simple! He knew Miller would have to test him because of his friend being shot. Actually respects him for it but when Amos showed him he was stronger, in Amos's mind the confrontation was over.
Loved the family time over the dinner table on the Rocinante!
