I'm glad we got another Executor, and I don't think she too heavily power creeps phantom. She deals high damage, but I think Phantom still beats her in general utility due to the clone.
And thanks to his module better dp return I he's going to be a lot better in dp restricted stages, though we'll see if that makes that much of a difference
Texas is better when used optimally, but due to how her talents work, they are both useless if a weak enemy is killed instantly, so she does not get full value very often
@@georgezhang1573 Texas should be treated like a Dreadnought guard, Phantom should be treated like a fast Redeploy. I appreciate that Phantom wasn't completely power crept into the oblivion, at least

@@Dracowulf Mlynar doesn't outright beat SilverAsh. In terms of utility, SilverAsh S3 still wins. Being able to target more and reveal invisible enemies which is consistent in CC. Schwarz on the other hand beats Pozy against heavily armored enemies and that +1 tile can still be very useful in situations which Pozy and Typewriter can't reach. Skadi has always been outshined by every 6* Operator that came out, so it's not really worth comparing her with Nearlter.
@@iintendtoboilyourteeth6573 Tbf no operator goes COMPLETELY out of use (see every run with Tsukinogi and Noir Corne in it) but they have become HEAVILY underused compared to their power creeping alternative. I personally think you should use them together for best results, but CC and harder stages that require many different ops limit the amount of spares you can take with you. Very sad, but what can you do? Still love Silverash though

So she is a fast redeploy with a lot of damage. So basically a 6 star project red, this is very promising and with her low dp cost she can be a nucler warhead to be dropped on demand. The caviat is of course she isn't going to be dueling any bosses 1vs1, she can however allow you to skip phases entirely with her damage on deployment alone. I would suggest anyone with a ftp account who doesn't have Sutr or a strong helidrop to get this character purely for her ability to just deal insane amounts of damage.
Based on showcase, glad we have more offensive fast redeploy and one who can actually attack aerial. Even when I have phantom, I will pull for her because why debate which one is the best when you can use both
Perfect mindset, I'll also be thinking like this when I pull for Gavialter despite the fact Blaze exists
@@jahndee2140 Well, blaze is better for consistent damage due to infinite uptime on skill 2 while Gravalter is basically heavy group burst for a few seconds because she heavily relies on skill cd.

Bruh, everyone is saying she powercreep Phantom, not really. Stop saying an op powercreep another just because they are in the same branch! It was the same for Penance, people kept saying she powercreeps Mudrock (how tf) just because she is able to solo 7-18.

Arknights community is a great place as far as i've seen, but the amount of doomsayers in it are disgustingly high.

Who do you think she is powercreeping? Her base version is a vanguard and still one of the more popular 5 stars. And in terms of fast redeploys the only person she is really powercreeping is project red and even in that case Red is cheaper. Now if you talking vs most Helidrop characters she performs at the same level as most of them but she has decent AOE so she can give Ch'en competition for her S2 but thats about it. I think the only thing she could be power creeping is maybe a stalker specialist or an AOE mage but they have both been powercrept for a long time.

I personally see that Tex is an absolute powercreep to Phantom, with the following reasons:
In terms of damage, she completely mop the floor with Phantom and his clone combine, judging by the damage of S2 with res debuff and S3 phys and aoe arts damage.
In terms of crowd control, Tex S3 completely out rank Phantom S3, both in stall and damage, unless there are some specific cases that requires Phantom small push or the enemies has stun immune.
People said Phantom still has better ultility thanks to the clone, and that is arguably true, but what is the "general ultility" of the clone? Most of the time it is just and extra body to cover for Phantom for them both to deal damage, or an extension of his skills which most will focus entirely on more damage, Tex can tank the enemies, without the need of an extra cost in deployment limit, another use for the clone is the ability to be able to use on a different position, for example like trying to take out 2 of Talulah fire ball sack, holding an early game mob rush on two different lanes when you don't have any other options (yes I'm looking at you integrated stategies) and charging sp for machines, and in those cases, sure, he is more useful, but we rarely see those nowadays, and thanks to the increasing tankyness of the mobs, Phantom damage is reduce significantly, limiting his use.
For people that said "just use both", we have only 12 operator slots, so no, considering which is the best option to fill in those slots is what we do on a daily basis, and bringing two operators that serve almost the same role, is not a good idea (even bringing two flagbearer and bagpipe seems unnecessary).
In conclusion, in most of the situation Tex can replace Phantom, and if that's not powercreep, I don't know what is.

I would both agree with everything here but the definition of power creep and so we are going to come to slightly different conclusions. I define power creep when a character does the same thing just with higher stats, and I mean the exact same thing. the clone is sort of huge as it can be in 2 places at the same time I don't think that niche which is phantom's niche has been power crept. if you are wondering when phantom VS texas might matter th-cam.com/video/lfu5gC5OeXs/w-d-xo.html this is a decent example on sort of why both phantom and SA from a niche side haven't exactly been power crept per say. texas is stronger in general though
@@thejuggernight1406 By that definition, then in arknights there are no power creep, cause each operators are designed with some form of uniqueness in mind, so that "true powercreep" will never happen.
I also agree that phantom and silverash's niches are not powercreeped, cause they serve a very specific role, that was a nice example too, and I also think that one of the only way for Phantom to compete with Texas now, is for his 2nd module to give him one more clone, essentially double down on that niche, and that example also shows how impactful Phantom has on low ops trust farm, but in general content when you are willing to bring more operators in your team, he will be much less useful, like you said, Tex is a much better option in general.

Phantom is infinitely more useful than her in ch.10 where you need extra bodies to draw the terrain artillery. He can have the Clone do it on the opposite side of the map.
@@shadows_star that is simply not true if you are running 3 blockers it isn't going to work out. It is very team comp dependant and texas being to outright kill the things that spawn the token enemies is way more useful than phantom is in those squads

Phantom can still have more single target damage or split clear with clone so I’d say it’s more like Exu vs Archetto vs Ash style of comparison where each do different things rather than powercreep.
