If someone pounds on your door or comes into your home late at night and you can't tell they are police then we have a 2A which allows you to defend yourself if you think your life is threatened. That is what happened here. Were the police justified in defending themselves as well? Yes. Did an innocent person die as a byproduct of them defending themselves? Yes. That is manslaughter. Just so you know, I specifically pulled up your videos on TH-cam an hour or two ago because I thought for sure you would have something to say about this even though it was not showing up on things recommended for me to watch. The last video it gave me was the golden calf one. Now I can see there have been several more since then, but the other ones did not show until now. Most of them are still not being suggested to me.
The "No-Knock" or "Knock and Announce" warrant on Taylor's apartment was inexcusable and should never have been issued or executed. The officer who wrote up the warrant request, and the judge who signed it, should both face some sort of sanction for it. Same with the case of Duncan Lemp, who was killed by police in Maryland the day before Taylor was killed. Police "assault raids" are almost never justifiable. They endanger police and civilians, and they rarely serve any useful purpose.
What about the dead man in Breonna's car trunk? Why was there no protest against her and the drug dealer friends she was hanging and banging? She would be alive today if she chose her friends better.

@Donnie Dungan How does that address my point? If someone pounds on your door or comes into your home late at night and you can't tell they are police then we have a 2A which allows you to defend yourself if you think your life is threatened. That is what happened here.
Were the police justified in defending themselves as well? Yes.
Did an innocent person die as a byproduct of them defending themselves? Yes.

This goes to show the reason police should not break down doors in the middle of the night. It isn't safe for them nor the community. IMHO.

Just so you know, I specifically pulled up your videos on TH-cam an hour or two ago because I thought for sure you would have something to say about this even though it was not showing up on things recommended for me to watch. The last video it gave me was the golden calf one. Now I can see there have been several more since then, but the other ones did not show until now. Most of them are still not being suggested to me.
The "No-Knock" or "Knock and Announce" warrant on Taylor's apartment was inexcusable and should never have been issued or executed. The officer who wrote up the warrant request, and the judge who signed it, should both face some sort of sanction for it. Same with the case of Duncan Lemp, who was killed by police in Maryland the day before Taylor was killed. Police "assault raids" are almost never justifiable. They endanger police and civilians, and they rarely serve any useful purpose.
I heard a reporter ask the prosecutor today , what the gender and race was of the members of the grand jury !
What about the dead man in Breonna's car trunk? Why was there no protest against her and the drug dealer friends she was hanging and banging? She would be alive today if she chose her friends better.

Which is against the law, so the police showing up was not some crazy out of left field event. In fact, it was pretty much inevitable with the life choices they were making. I do agree and take issue with the officers being out of uniform, and I also dislike unmarked police cars pulling people over for the same reason. How do we know they are who they say they are?

If I was in my house at midnight with a knock on the door from people claiming to be the police (whether I was a thug or not) who then bash my door in and are seen to be wearing plain clothes I would shoot to. I think most people would, given a loved one in the house. Imagine there were kids in the house or something.
I don't blame the cops on the scene in this one and I especially don't blame Kenneth or Breonna. The reason this happened is down in the station when the plans were made. You could not put people in a more dangerous situation without going to war. The midnight raid, no uniform in a drug dealers house. This is dangerous for the people (obviously given someone innocent died) and the cops.
What is the real shitty part is that the only charges laid were for bullets that didn't hit anyone. Somehow they are against the law but the ones who hit Breonna were fine!?
I just think anyone in his shoes would have done the same and that in this instance the police department fucked up nearly every step of this operation, then did there best to cover it up. Surely someone should face criminal charges for gross incompetency resulting in death. I don't believe it was a murder, more manslaughter cause by the incompetence.

After 31 years LITERALLY as a product of the establishment (abusive foster care, juvenile institutionalization etc.) in 2016 I voted for Trump.
