tops dont have a saw it has a rasp boeker is better in throwing sparks since tb doesnt include this in his concept i dont know for the tb but the boeker has a spider/skeleton tang which makes it more likly to brake and it is not for throwing at all
I really like the boker not a fan of Tops. I find them to be crazy overpriced. I personally see the boker being a good knife even for self defense. It would make a mean cutter. I don’t baton never seen a reason for it. But I do like the price and the design of the boker.
There's a slight learning curve to this style of knife, but in the end they are a tool like any other knife. Having the cutting areas- the chopping portion at the tip, the quarter round in the middle, and then the draw/carving area at the handle do allow a bit more versatility. The saw on the TOPs is good for notching, but tears up a baton. I'd suggest the Boker to anyone who just wants to try one due to the price point.
It’s been a year now since I watched this. What knife do you still use? What knife is your most used, what knife would you grab if you had to leave an didn’t know where you was going? What would you reach for and what would you never use?
Sorry for the late reply, I tend to use the Boker a little more. Better fits my hand and aside from not having the sawback it will do everything the Tops will do.
