Great quality and angle. Thanks.
7:01 Ma Lin is like "are you fucking serious?!!" (replay shows no nets)
Oh and let's not forget the Joooo! Joooo! Jaaaa! :)))
Replay shows net for real. A very gentle touch
awesone!thx for posting!Nice cut.hope you to post more another famous competition to us!keep going~
Good video quality, thank you!
I always root for non-asian players just because asian rule the game so much, but I cannot deny how fast Ma Lin shushed all of Dimitry's cho's by taking the first set away from him. In Ma Lin's head was like "I had it with this guy and all his noise; let's just take the candy away from him".
Folks, it should be "Lin MA" or "MA Lin," not "Ma LIN," since Ma(馬)is his surname (other Chinese surnames include "Wang (王)," "Xu(許)," and "Kong (孔)"). In Chinese, if we call people by their full Chinese names, we call first their surnames and then their names (e.g., MA Lin [馬琳] and LIU Guoliang [劉國梁]).
be good Thanks for the info! :)In titles and comments I corrected. In the video, I can not: (Sorry, I did not know that this surname...
I love Ma Lin. The most calm person in the whole arena is him. Such a dominant presence. Reminds me about Toshiro Mifune
Loving the camera angles
nice Videos and Channel man. Like the quality and the cut
Nice angle. Feel like watching in the stadium. Ball very very fast
Once again, I appreciate Ma Lin's serve.
It is really a good serve.
And I can understand why Ma Lin looked so frustrated when the umpire approved that his serve at 07:01 touched the net.
In a competition, it was a defeat to the player. Ma Lin was innocent.
Anyway, congratulation to victory of Ma Lin. =]
OVCHAROV is also a good player, with aggressive attack in two sides.
Beautiful quality !
Thank you! :)
the penhold system is alive and well ! The system owns so many golds and silvers in the last decade alone. Whether it be Olympics, World Cup, World Championships (singles and team and doubles) Ma Lin, Wang Hao, and Ryu Seung Min, Li Ching and Ko Lai Chak have the lion's share of the medals!
nice camera, when ma lin recognize hole on ovcharov forhend it was over
why camera view allways switch to other corner, it make confuse
amazing quality for 2013
One thing to know is that Ma Lin is a professional at serving.
His serve is difficult for others to predict and judge while it is spinny, or fast, or even with no spin
Look at the slow motion. Maybe you can see that the net moved when the ball jumped over it. But watch out, it is not because the ball hit the net.
This always can happen because of the step of player who serves. The table can shake a little bit, causing the net moving, like wind blowing on the net.
King of comebacks.
Yeahh, Ma Lin my favorite player plays very strong!!
What was that serve at 11:16? hmm
He still has it ...what a polite and reluxed player ma lin is
grande ma lin saludos desde CHILE
10:09how did he do that???
11:15 - What's the deal with that serve? It looks oversimplistic (I never saw ovtcharov do it in the past).
he had already lost the match, tried something new and unexpected
David Yao Interesting approach. He lost that point horribly though.
Ma Long does this tactic, too, e.g. in the 2013 team game vs that korean guy. He kept making simple backhand serves and confused the hell out of his opponent.
wintypes Yakir Dorani it's not that simple. bh heavy/light spin short serve is when they're used to your normal serve and u want to play it safe. most right-handed service will be clockwise rotation. for R vs R, short bh serve is used when you just want to prevent a strong opening. by placing the ball in b/w their mid and flip range, there's a dead zone that no R-handed can flip strongly with the fh. it's also a more balanced setup when you're tired bc it naturally sets up towards the bh side since it's cc-rotation, allowing you to stand more towards the middle
wintypes Can you post a link for that game please?
It was a let serve. You might not be able to see the net moving, but you don't have to: you can see the ball increasing its height after passing the net, then slightly arching down. No spin on earth does that.
I admit that it is fairer play to lift your hand before you hit the ball, but may the first person who never hit a let serve by reflex throw the first stone at Ovtcharov.
Then duck, because he'll smash it back at you. : )
Does this mean Ma Lin's team UMMC got the champion of this year in the league?
from 5:10 to 15:14 incredible
I d like to see Ma play Harimoto !
Ma Lin was right, the ball NEVER touched the net though it was extremely close right above it. However, when Dima returned it back then it barely grazed it. Either way, I couldn't really blame the call by the ref cause it was so very hard to tell w/o the aid of slow motion playback.
It seems that it really touched the net, didnt it?
Yeah~~Ma Lin ~~~
It seemed to me, yeah
MaLin!! have a sensitive hand~
No, please watch it clearly. The ball didn't touch the net. The arc of Ma Lin's serve is low, and the ball just jumped over the net.
And have a look of Dimitrij OVCHAROV. He put up his hand after he hit the ball. It was because he knew the the ball was so spinny that he couldn't return the ball back.
If the ball really hit the net, OVCHAROV should put his hand up before hitting the ball.
He was so cunning that he chose a tricky time to put up his hand.
That ball did not touch the net, but ok.
it's post retirement rec sports for Ma, don't think he cares lol
Yup! Ma Lin the King of Penhold...
it did :o that's strange
Ma power :)
when they rewind the scene it seems that the ball touched the net just a little bit
Thomas PoMsN it's either the stomp or the wind generated by malin's serving posture , the net started to shake before the ball gets there
Not the shake of the net, the trajectory of the ball changed slightly
Ma Lin's old, but he'll still wreck you if you give him the chance.
Oh in YOUR FACE, Dimitri!
ovcharov's forehand serve is equally as illegal....
So much effort for a serve and still couldn't win a point.
He was born in Ukraine...;-)
Ma Lin is bored
feel the same way, the ball touched the net a little
oh well.. this russian guy choked on 1st game.. :\ 5 - 10 and choked.
Come on, his serve is illegal as fuck
