  • Family fishing day trip to Yamba, beautiful place to fish. Hooked onto something big and lost it.

    Definitely Tailor. Great eating. Fish the Gold Coast Broadwater when they are on. You will see them busting up and the birds diving on them. Throw 20-28gram spoons and slugs. And burn back quickly. They will shame them. Heaps of fun.

    Amazing fishing but I feel so bummed out when you lost that massive fish, wow, just huge!!! I hate when that happens, comes right till the end but can't land it... so annoying grrrrr wish you catch a massive one next time !!!!

    Those fish you didn't know what they were could've been australian salmon if they didn't have sharp teeth because they look a little bit like a tailor

      @@fishingwarriorz Tailor when they get above 6 pounds or so start to just have large dark green backs. Great fighting fish, pound for pound.
      Tailor tip though if you are going to eat them, break their necks and stick them in the sand right away they need to be bled straight away, salmon as well are a lot nicer eating if you bleed them straight away.
