That was a really cool burnout...especially considering all the challenges you faced. On a different day that would have got you a win. As you probably know there’s been a high level of competition here in Australia for a long time, but I heard Kyle chatting to Cooper Bogetti on his podcast and as an Aussie myself I’m really proud that he’s not gone over there to just dominate all your competitions and promote himself but help push the whole American burnout scene forward which is great for everyone . 😊
The smoke is pure wheel speed. Start in high gear and nail it. Kyle said on coppers pod cast its like 0-300kph+ wheel speed in that first second. Then they never lift from that till the tyres are off. Bro thats a mean burnout! its so awesome to see more Americans getting into it 🤙🏽
Well they do.. he says that as well. Wheel speed stays the same but as the tyres lose tread you need less throttle to keep them at speed. Hitting the limiter is also bad.
You had a good burnout keep it up and I hope I can see you again at Indy next year I love your videos and keep it up with the content you post on TH-cam
the thing is there are a dozen+ guys in OZ who can do that type burnout the money they spend on their engine is over the top not my thing but hey he on to each his own
The Aussie cars produce so much smoke because of wheel speed. They are flat out in top gear, we're talking a wheel speed around 300km/h. Thats also why they can burn through tyres so fast.
come 3rd to the national australian champion ? jake myers wasnt there mate . one of the best australian burnout drivers in the world , maybe . not to take anything away from kyle it was a killer skid ( imagine 20/30 burnouts in a row like that - summernats -) . but fuck me mate you got a 9 second drag/burnout/daily driver, i dont think any one in aus does .lets see it do drag week or maybe you can invent skid week 7 burnout pads in 7 days 200 miles between pads . just remember where you got the idea . killa skid by the way
How does Kyle make that much smoke... Talk to him long enough and he'll tell you. His most basic formula is you need at least 1000hp and the right final drive.
Americans can't beat the Aussies if is Aussie style burnout comp. we have rules the Americans do not adhere to and would lose points in Aussie comps. Between 1 min and min 30 is time to pop the tires. any less you lose point and any longer also lose points. You had not enough smoke to ever win a Aussies comp.
@@scraverX Yea forgot that been awhile since i have competed in a event, mate owned SMOKINU summernats 29 winner and sold it a few months ago. he kept me up to date with rules.
Great job on the skid pad. To bad the judges didn't see it that way. In my eyes You and Klaus should have got 1st Place not 3rd. You did way better then the Ozzy and you used the whole pad and the loop.
11:47 the engine quits. Didn't stop to get crowd fired up. Rolled off not able to start back up. That may have been the difference. Tip in was short. Great as always but when there is 10, 20 top level cars the perfect run may still leave fans thinking they got robbed. Check out Coopers interview with Kyle on how to tactically 1 up the competition and get the judges points
Now, y'all need to come to the summernats and see real burnout culture.. You're learning.. although it's not that hard to drop a patch.. Every teenager has to be able to do one before they're given their licence down here..Straya!!
The crowd looked scared of the Aussie burnout haha
Kyle is no joke!
Aussie Aussie Aussie 🤘
Oi Oi Oi🤙
They are so good!

yah its a burnout
Not flat out actually. 80% throttle max and they actually progressively back off as the tread goes.
@@scraverX bullshit. Not how I drive
@@mountainlogistics9882 Welp.... guess I should ignore what Kyle Douglas himself said and defer to the comment section. /s
@@scraverX listen....watch some Australian burnouts. We go foot to the floor till the tyres pop, end of story. I drive one you bell end.

We will get there!!!
Lots of pony’s and wheel speed and never lift the right foot until the tyres are gone
That's for sure!

Can depend on the comp actually. Some is instant DQ if you don't go over 59 seconds.
These guys are sick!

😂😂😂😂 ok
It’s based on the amount of smoke as said filled the track with smoke
