They're both such great actors. I can't get over how expressive his eyes are even though they're mostly hidden because of the glasses..this honestly enhanced a lot of expressions in a lot of major scenes. Thank you for your work ♥
I'm almost grateful his eyes were hidden behind the sunglasses during the most intense scenes like the Alpha Centauri one because otherwise I would've cried my soul out of my body seeing how DEVASTATED he was. On the other hand, I wish we could see more of his eyes because 1) they're really pretty and 2) they're literally a window to his soul. When his eyes show, Crowley's emotions get 1000 times more intense and I'm just- YES. Anyway thank you for doing such an amazing work! This video is awesome ♡

After Season 2, his reaction here makes even more sense. Even though that gun was aimed at Aziraphale, I believe it was Crowley who nearly got discorporated by having a heart attack in that scene
Man, you really miss out on a lot of the desperation in his expressions around the 7:00 mark because of the hidden eyes. And the pause before blinking right after the "there is no our side" line... gah, he looks so stricken and hurt right before covering it up.
I think that speaks to David as an actor tho, because he must've known that those glasses would have hidden his eyes completely, and this is a role that heavily relies on facial expressions, so being able to convey those emotions despite having his eyes hidden is incredible.
Actually, taking contact lenses in and out unnecessarily during the day would just irritate the eyes and add to the risk of eye infection from handling the lenses repeatedly.
I actually asked Neil Gaiman on tumblr about if David Tennant had to wear those contacts the whole time while they were filming, because you can see his eyes underneath in a lot of scenes. He actually responded and said that he did expect scenes when they were filming in the dark. Guess this is just more evidence to support that lmao.

Honestly, I believe that wearing contacts should make not blinking much easier. Most staring contests I lose are because I get some dirt spec or a gust of wind in my eye. contact lenses prevent both of those things from happening. When I wear contact lenses, I'm pretty much guaranteed to win at staring contests.
I love that they had the opportunity to forgo the contacts/editing by having the glasses on but they still went ahead with it (plus it would have ruined the effect for vids like this lol)
