I appreciate bigger screen of the palma. Hoping to see one even bigger/larger when Onyx finally makes an e ink smartphone.

I have the Palma and love it. I prefer having a dedicated ereader separate from my phone. It limits distractions for me.

If the speaker on the Bigme is that poor, how can people hear ringing for incoming phone calls?

thanks for the comparison video.. if you watch movies frequently what happens to the display if you exceed the rated number of refreshes? do the pixels become stuck or will it just stop functioning?

I’ve been hoping for a boox palma color since onyx has color e-ink devices👀 do you think it’s worth the wait, or should I cut my losses and get a palma anyway?

Please also can you provide the ghz of the chip as they can have 20 chips but if they run at 1.6ghx then it's still 1.6ghz. The number of chips makes zero difference. it's just a branding thing. When intel started all the 2 3 4 core etc the only thing that made the pc faster was the ghz speed. 850 flashdragon means nothing. And then you look it up and find there are all types of 850 flashdragon so you still don't know the speed. The only thing that effects the device in most cases is the chip speed and the Ram. after that its programming errors, removal of basic functionality that's existed for 20 years like a volume/camera button or UI creative aborations by the staff.

why not a eink screen that duplicate the one of you mobile, so that you use one or another depending on the use, only problem is that you should use 2 devices, but I can see this a solution to use a fast mobile having the chance to use the eink display to read easily ebooks etc

Thank you so much GOOD EREADER for giving us a review side-by-side of both devices!
I honestly think that the speaker situation is a “shoot in the foot” kind of situation.
I wonder if when i use bluetooth earbuds and if im listening to an audiobook and all the sudden someone calls, will my ears survive?
Also the screen being colour is a great thing and i wouldn’t mind honestly if i didn’t already had a Palma. Because when comparing like this ofc we can tell the difference. I wouldn’t read manga with it definitely but epubs would be fine. Also that bigme screen protector isn’t that great tbh. I would need to get a better matte screen protector.
My main concern is battery of the bigme after usage with frontlight. And if after usage continues to behave well. I am seriously considering buying it because the phone call abilities is what i want for a long time in a palma.
I guess i will be waiting for a bit and think about it.
    Super helpful review! Thanks seriously

@@OMundodaTutu yes, I am on the device right now. I use bit defender and some other apps that use accessability but for some reason I cannot turn them on with this device. Its weird because when I first set up the phone I was able to turn them on but now they shutoff on their own. I have messaged big me about this and they said they would look into it and fix it. Big me has new updates like every month so I am sure they will fix it. All in all its a great device and it sure helps my eyes alot
