Duke thank you so very much for taking the time to show us greenhorns how to do it efficiently! I've just made my 1st one and getting ready to do 2more! The deer here in Oklahoma also say thank you for good dry corn! 😁
Thanks for the idea! These new fancy feeders are so expensive and made of cheap plastic. Going to give this a try, with one modification. Will probably wrap the hanging chain in barbed wire to keep critters from climbing down on it.
@@WORMGITTER Yes. I was thinking that as well. I think they have some slick/metal broom handles at the $1.25 store. With the way things are going it may be the $2.00 store by morning. 😄
@@BackRoadBound thats an even better idea...the metal broom handle...pour a little corn on the ground to get them use to it and you will have to set the bottom of the broom handle high enough the racoons can't reach. Thanks
Duke, you're a genius! For only $16 made an automatic feeder that beats them all. I have a fish feeder on my dock, but it cost too much! I have to buy batteries for it every other year, and the fish can't feed nudge it to feed themselves when they're hungry. I have to guess! Great job my friend!
Pretty good DIY feeder! Looks like it works pretty well. That should really draw them in for sure. I have some friend who have a place just outside of town that might want to take a look at this one.
I made a version of this feeder few years ago, works great ! Another great video ! I saw some of your other older videos. Hobo stove and frying catfish on rocket wood stove....you have any vids on the construction of those stoves ? Thanks !
I need to get some detailed videos out...you should have a rocket stove...unbelievable how efficient they are...a lil more work to cook with but I have fun doing it....ye get better the more you cook with it
Good looking deer feeder Duke, I saw your original deer feeder video. Great idea to keep thing cheap for sure, looks like they work really well. Thanks for sharing, Carl and Dawn Homestead
Hey, Duke. Great idea for a feeder that keeps coons and such out! How do the deer know to hit the stick or is that just a matter of hoping that they're curious enough to smell the corn but not know where it's coming from?
you have to hang it with a dog chain on a high limb and the stick needs to be high enough so the coons cant reach it from the ground. The bucks arent as leary as the does...there are more bucks that work the stick.

Best diy video I’ve seen that will keep all the little varmints out! Thanks so much!
Thank you I was trying to build a timed feeder so I could take a vacation and know my chicken food won’t go to mice or squirrels! Appreciate it
Thanks for the great idea, Duke. Gonna make me a couple of these. Have a Blessed day.
Thank you

might want to try metal conduit instead of a broom handle...the squirrels can jump up to it

Hey Mrs. Gitter! Did ye here that?? Juanelo said I was a genius!!!!
Looks great , I’m going to try one myself, thanks
yes Sir
Can you show videos when this feeder working?
ha.....prob not
Raccoons are hanging from it eating all the corn.
Duke ; If one suspended it from a horizontal wire , ya think a coon can get out to drop down on it . ?
I would think not..let me know how it goes...Thanks
What tool should I use to cut the hole in the bottom of the bucket?
Nice video, thanks.
Are you Grandpa Walton? 😊
Hello from Maine
Need to show it working
like I need to do what you say

there is plenty to eat but they will come around...they know its there!
best one i have seen yet, thank you, American ingenuity .
Thank ye Jeff
That's a pretty neat feeder. It's good to take care of the wild animals too.
I like to take care of the "wild livestock!"
I’m trying to feed deers but n my yard. I was told to give them watermelon. You say give corn instead?
yes...only what they will eat in one night...dont feed them so much that there is corn left over

Can you add crushed corn feed like Big & J BB2 to the corn and still have it work properly?
I don't see why not...try it
Good deal Mr. D! It’s that time again! Happy hunting to you and may all hunters be safe during the upcoming season.
Thank You Stan! Top of the morning to ye!
Back in the day that was the only kind of feeders we had.
That's what I been looking for thank you.i like to feed my pets.

Hey duke, do you use these feeders for deer hunting?
I have never shot a deer at a feeder...
Mineral block ?????

Say what Duke? You’re not a hunting Club?? 🤫👍🏼🤫👍🏼
