I especially like this version because of Miku. She's came a long way on her guitar, and her backing vocals are beautiful. Alway remember the lyrics are written by Miku. She is highly respected in Japan for her lyrics. Everyone should read the lyrics, even in English they are exceptional.
I always do read the lyrics when i hear through the song for the second time. You are correct, Miku writes really good lyrics. I do not always understand, but it think that might be a cultural thing or just me not beeing able to see/hear the real meaning.

This version, the rock version Saiki sings with contempt and bitterness. The acoustic version (just Saiki and Kanami) she sings with utter heartbreak. Do check it out, it's heartbreakingly beautiful.

Or any of the unbelievably brilliant live MV's from their November 2023 Yokohama Arena concert either - their 10th anniversary gig where they played 33 songs! Try HATE? if nothing else....but I'm sure you'll get around to trying them all anyway! They are astounding! Even for Band-Maid! Po!

Three things I think new fans will find fascinating with this group; 1) the deeper you dig, the more you'll appreciate the members authenticity, writing and musical sensibilities; 2) your favorite song will generally be the one you're currently listening to. Note: This is a distinctive phenomenon with Band-Maid. For example, listen to "Moratorium" and then “Puzzle. Which is your favorite?; and 3) why does it seem they have no bad songs? Band-Maid has plenty of bad songs, according to one of their interviews. It's just that they threw them all in the dumpster and only released 130 (to date) of their most awesome songs. This disciplined integrity is one of the things that keeps them at the top of the rock pile. Thx, Didy!
