This fast-paced, high energy hard rock banger has become an earworm yet, but it may soon be one. John, now that you have been to a few Band-maid concerts, I think you might agree with me that "Magie" would be perfect for the band to play coming out of the softer portion of their performance or an extended MC. It's the perfect song to get the entire audience up and moving. Old geezers like me need to be cautious, however. We could hurt ourselves moving like we're teenagers to this .
Kanami is maybe most underrated musician in history of music. Just because She is a woman and from Asia. We western people should shame ourselves. That lady is genius as a composer and as a guitarist.
FACTS! A lot of us are just so used to the "mainstream" rock and metal bands with their typical composers etc. and by all means they are all fantastic but we really need to broaden our horizon because talents like Kanami and all the Maids do exist, just not that close to us
Non English speaking bands, especially Asian one, have always been shafted in the west. The majority of Americans and Europeans couldn't tell you who Larc En Ciel or X japan are but they were both bigger than most well known American rock bands. X Japan has sold more than 30 million albums and Larc's Ark and Ray, simultaneously, and both sold over two million copies each. That more than Taylor Swift sold with her 1st 4 albums.
Well said. Most women in any country probably got into pop group like kpop & singer. Only The Warning are truly shine in the west even still far behind from Japanese female band. Yes there're many female rock/metal band outside japan but their music just like an average.
There ain't no band who writes, plays and performs like Band-Maid! While I've watched Magie climb from an initial 6, when I first heard it, to a 7 and now an 8 (taken from a recent survey of my cerebral musical cortex ;-), I always appreciate the execution, sound and, once again, performance of all their songs... even starting with "Made In Japan," released in 2014 when I first became entranced with the Magical Maids. Thx, John!
Great reaction John. Every time I hear a Band-Maid song, or a new song from them, it is sewriously prevalent that they stand head and shoulders above everyone else. Their music, their professionalism, the sining, the compositions. This is a band that serves notice to everyone else that they need to be better. Kanami and Miku together creating songs are pure genius, and everyone needs to know who they are. Do you think I'm a fan? 😂
So awesome seeing a live MV from this show! John, did you know that the entire Day of Maid show is what's gonna be on the DVD/Blu-ray with the special editions of the new album?! I was already getting it, but that just solidified the decision knowing I'll get to own a Blu-ray of the show that got me to Japan for the first time in my life! Very excited 🤘
Hey John! It's a great idea to have the crowd party for an entire show in the US. Unfortunately, it will never happen until they "stop!" everyone from taking pictures and video. It's hard to have fun when you've got someone in front of you with a phone in the air taking pictures. No video/photography at most Japanese venues. You have no choice but to be invested in the music, unless you like staring at the floor with your hands in your pocket. Great party song and reaction as usual. Cheers!
Greatest Rock this planet Earth has ever seen. 10+ years and getting better and better. There is no stopping them. I can’t think of any other band, past or present, that I would rather see. Saw them in Anaheim last year and it was the best show I’ve ever seen. Great reaction, Keep it up. I LOVE BAND MAID ❤❤
This song is MENTAL!!! I think this song maybe her "head-voice" training song. She hasn't peaked yet. But she's used every trick she's learned, using her maximum range. Saiki finally caught up with rest of the band, and can elevate their music to next level.
That's so funny that you said that, John. Years n years ago (I'm 56), I began to prefer going to shows by myself or to go off on my own if I went with a group. It just makes it easier to just let my body go. Now. If only I could get people to stop tackling and immobilizing me because they think I'm experiencing seizures! I never said it was a pretty sight. Thanks again for another great reaction and remember: Life is BETTER with BAND-MAID! 🤘🤩🤘
When I saw them in San Diego the crowd was insane. Very loud. Not much jumping but in my case I have a 2 centimeter vertical leap so you might miss it. I think their one man shows in general are pretty enthusiastic.
The American crowds are a bunch of old dudes that dont want to get loose and just want to stand there and watch them. Usually, that's what the balcony sections are for..
There is no Peak. I love that they search adventures in music. Kanami is friggin genius, like all other ladies too 🔥❤️
Hell yes!
Love the expression on Kanami's face when she's leaping around, pure Mincho.

This song reminds me if those fun, shredding Van Halen songs like Jump, Dancing in the Streets and Hot For Teacher
Band Maid is in overdrive love saiki's vocals and aggressive kick awesome performance ❤😊

Japanese crowds are great.
They can do no wrong! (IMHO)
Osaka Namba Hatch was pretty great as well.
👍👍👍👍👍
MISA MISA MISA!!!!!
Everyone here in the states have a phone taking videos, in Japan you cannot video so you can enjoy, dance and sing
Wait....weren't you at this show? I remember taking a group pic with you after the show.

I sing along in misheard Romaji lyrics and out of tune. 😂
