21+ years ago, I went to see this, this exact day, while looking for part time work. I was a full time musician, but of course, that paid no bills. The general manager was a fan of my band, and agreed to let me work there as time allowed. That started 9+ years of meeting many the people who would shape my life as I eventually worked up to be the general manager, return to and graduate college, meet and marry my 1st wife, and be introduced to my current wife with which I have 2 kids. Many of my dearest memories, happiest times, best friends, and my literal family I owe to going to see this movie and thinking to ask if they needed help (it was insanely busy and they were getting their asses kicked). Totally wild to see it screening on THAT DAY, knowing how my life was about to change dramatically.
Jayden Lenzy lol then you just a kid. Enjoy every second of it because years really pass by so fast. When I was 13-20 years old I just wanted to be older to be taking serious. Now I’m almost 27 and I’m like holy shit years really flew. One thing is after you turned 21, years go faster than a rabbit
This movie really touched a lot of people at the time not just because it was the first epic superhero mainstream blockbuster (save X-men), but because this movie came out just 8 months after 9/11. Spider-man heroics in NY represented something bigger then.. That big American flag at the end is there for a reason...

In 2002, a legend was born. In 2021, (hopefully) he’ll return. And I have been getting a lot of spoilers in the comment section hour by hour, day by day. I eventually went and saw the movie. I had to at least wait a week until the majority of the people saw it so for those who keep telling me I spoiled it for them, it’s your fault first of all for not going and buying a ticket. I’m sure they’re still selling them. And another, I don’t know how many of you are on social media. I don’t know how many of you can’t stay off cause you’re addicted to it but the least you can do is stay off until you watch the movie so technically, it’s not my fault, it’s yours.
7:47 alone just takes me back to an era. Times were so much easier, less stressful and less hateful. This movie truly was great for its time, and still holds up pretty well. That Danny Elfman score combined with him swinging through the city gives me chills. Every time.
shut up. "so much easier, less stressful and less hateful" for you maybe. but times have always had hardships. you just have nostalgic glasses on. a few months prior to this 9/11 happened. so yh you 100% have nostalgic glasses
Well so was infinity war and end game. Hopefully the fun times continue on though I'm really not sure if we will ever get an experience like that ever again.
And because of that it’s fluid. No set up or anything, makes the movies more realistic, whereas the MCU humor feels like a sitcom, only thing missing is the laugh track.
