@@ImIvanCalderon sothing where you can freely change the paint tool like fl and make it seem smooth on how to make loops. If that made sense like the piano roll on FL I bought the suite package and it’s well worth it 🤙🏼
Awesome Video, I’m late to the party and I’m confused as to how you step input hi hats in the piano roll. My editor isn’t set up like this at all. In fact you’re prompting me to use sample one again.
Ok I made this comment early in the video and now I’m near the end I can confirm this is literally the bets trap drum tutorial I have ever watched. No joke. Like its the bet’s one. You showed everything like everything and you explained everything and you went at a pace where I understood everything. Omg this is literally the best tutorial and the exact tutorial I’ve been looking. Like seriously the exact one. You explained it perfectly. You answered so many of my questions
Sup Ivan fan of the channel I’m coming over to S1 from FL and ableton I love this daw and your channel been making it easier to get comfortable with it. Do you have any suggestions on how to switch out the samples in Sample One XL? I see you run with a template to help with that work flow but sometimes I may want to switch out sounds with ease. It see,s like the only way is to drag it into Sample one xl and delete the previous? Thank you if you can answer this
Hey Ivam I just bought your bundle and I'm following along this tutorial my Studio One doesn't have Sample One XT I'm looking everywhere how do I get XT
Open the browser by clicking the Browser button on the bottom right. From there click on the Instrument Tab and sort it by Vendor. Scroll down within the Browser until you find the PreSonus drop down menu. In there you should find Sample One XT and at that point you can just drag and drop it into the timeline.
Great tips ! Hi hat rolls with pitch changing are impossible in drum pattern right ? Because I could never find a way to do it . Maybe with pitch automation ... The rolls are done by selecting the amount of repetition (1,2,3 etc...) But how to select the quantization ?
Yea patterns are cool if that's your workflow preference but personally I like the regular piano roll because it gives me WAY more control for things such as rolls and pitching. I know it is possible on patterns but I don't use that feature at all.
Eyy bro can you help my drums are off grid when I loop them like if it's 4 bars when it loops back to start it goes off grid if it's hats the last one bounce off. Any help
How in the world did you do those macros with that much customization, i know how to make custom macros but not those specific ones that is soooo fire 🔥
@@ImIvanCalderon I purchased the toolbar definitely worth it cant wait to see what u add in the future, do you make custom recording templates? Would love to purchase one
Glad to hear that Caleb! I have an update coming out next week so look out. I don't have vocal templates/presets but I do have a recording template available. You can check it out here: geni.us/EngineersTemplate
@@ImIvanCalderon ahh gotcha so there would be no way for me to purchase a modified version of that exact template, just with 3rd party plugins, i know it seems redundant i would just rather spend the money rather than the time, that would be incredible if not i’ll buy the template and tweak it myself
Very good explaination for drum programming, I got to tell you I hate the double time thing that became the norm in trap and r&b. A lot of very unrealistic programming that a real drummer can never play on his own thus why there is 2 drummers and a percussionist on stage am old school and i know the ear can only hear a few sounds at a time... The sign of the times.
I would argue that these unrealistic drums are a welcomed change into production, I mean we've heard "Normal" drum patterns for years no? We're seeing double time ooze out of hip hop into other genres
@@AlbertoDelacruz92 welcomed change ? Only a non musician would welcome the unrealistic. I stated a fact and you state the obvious trend. Keep out of my lane..

No such thing as trap beats, all drum beats are based around drum rhythms that’s have been played since rhythms were adopted by humans.
