It will depend which time of year you go! This was early summer but we t mid day and was late 70s :)
Red Rock passes to park are required at trailheads where there are restrooms and water. You do not need a red rock pass for many trailheads but it's always nice to spend $5 to support our forests. Watch for cyclists (you can rent a mountain bike a few blocks away). The vortex is in the saddle between Bell Rock and Courthouse rocks
I totally agree with supporting them. I just already have a national parks pass and state annual pass and didn't feel great sedona didn't use those. That's all I was saying so I could park further down the road easily.
@@LauraLeanne Update - there's a free shuttle you can take to most of the popular trailheads. They shut down street parking so if there's no parking place go to the nearest pick up point and ride the shuttle to the Trailhead. They are clamping down hard because Sedona has been "loved to death." They also closed off all but 8 areas of free camp spots off 525. Everything was being run over, parked on, burned up, and dying. Too bad the over population has be managed this way.

Thanks for this very helpful and informative video! Quick question - do you know if the longer loop is more difficult in terms of elevation, having to climb upward, etc? Or is it similarly flat, but just longer in length? Thanks!
Its quite flat the entire way! It's a there and back so not a loop. A good loop that's about 4.5 miles of not too much elevation is airport loop. Hope that helps!

Hi, I plan on doing the Birthing Cave, Cathedral Rock and Robber’s Roost and maybe Bell too if we have time. Do you think a GPS device is necessary? I don’t want to have to purchase one if I don’t absolutely need it. TIA!
You only need a GPS device if you are playing geocaching. The birthing cave is ABOVE the trail and it takes a bit of belly-scrambling on the rocks to get there. Cathedral Rock vortex is in the saddle of the spires but you have to belly-scramble rock climb that last little bit to the spires - look for dark lava flow, but I personally like to go to Crescent Moon Park and enjoy it's energy in the water. Robber's Roost AKA Shaman's Cave is WAY out there, but you can get out pretty close to the cave before you park. Then it's straight down, straight up, over and around. Again you have to walk across red rocks (no handrail) to get to the cave - my daughter will only cross the rocks on all fours. Check out the Native American ruins while you are there, but watch for rattlesnakes.
PS there's NO NEED to climb to the top of Bell Rock. People have died trying. Caution. The vortex is in the saddle between Bell and Courthouse Rocks. Look to the top of Courthouse for caves - can only be accessed by rock climbers.

Do u hike at these parks in December? What's it like? Winter and cold?
Sedona isn't a park at all. But it does get some snow in thr winter. It will just depend on the year. I'd recommend simply checking out alltrail reviews close to the time to see which trails would work for you :)
Did you happen to see any rivers, streams, or bodies of water along that hike?
None on this hike. There are a couple in sedona that will have water (west fork). Some it will depend on the time of year
If you come during monsoon season (in normal non-drought years), you'll see rivers come out of no where, so if it's raining, don't hike the wash. Oak Creek runs through Sedona, which you can see driving Oak Creek Canyon, or visiting Center for the New Age and Tlaquepaque. Crescent moon state park in West Sedona has a nice trail that follows the creek and a rope for those who wish to jump in.
