I think so. We obviously need to ignore that this machine has the side cut out and isn't connected to a tank first! The right side of the piston chambers will have a hole to force air through and into a tank, then there will be a valve to stop the air flowing back from the tank, another valve will open when the piston is moving back to let more air into the chamber then, then that valve closes when the piston is moving down (right) to force more air into the tank. The pistons are highly leveraged against all the mechanical actions on the left side of the device so they can push air to a high pressure.
There’s your problem, it has a big hole in the compressor easy fix
