    For those wondering about the Diva skin, check out Aiko from plugmon.jp . They're premium skins but actually change the functionality of the UI... well worth the purchase IMO. I currently use Aiko for Diva and Neuman for Zebra.

    Pawsome!
    P.S.: How do you get parameters display note names? I have numbers from -100 to +100. Not very handy.

    I just need to make time and learn the Logic Editor. Been procrastinating on it for far too long now. It's a must to know how to use it.

      Aiko... It's a paid skin from plugmon but actually adds some great functionality to the Synth, so totally worth it.

    it's a good creative tips ! but i haven't got Diva , i'm very sad . I try to do that with serum but i think it was different . HaHaha. Super cool ! i learn my cubase 8.5 , i use a lot Ableton but Cubase for PsyTrance is very Powerfull with a good Tutor ( May be a tutor on sonic academy but i don't know who is the more professionnal someone talk about a tutor Nate or protoculture or Shadow ??? i Subscribe to Plugin Alliance Master Mix Bundle WaOou , the plugins is Fantastic another feeling . Thank You Marula Music

      You can do it with any synth, in serum just make sure you drag and assign velocity to the filter... Same as you would for the envelopes.

    Nice one mate. Never really given the logical editor much consideration before, but definitely have a few ideas where I could use it now!

    Great stuff. Similar fun can be had using Arpache to randomly trigger key switches, rests, gate time, etc.

    I've been a Cubase user (light weight) since 1990. I've never used this. I have to say this is a great vid. You're an excellent teacher and showed me a bunch of cool stuff. A BIG thanks!

    Hey Nate, thanks for a great and simple introduction to the logical editor.
    Having followed your music for around 15 years, along this video I thought about how long you've been using this function? I don't know when it was included in Cubase, and most of the functionalities could be made with S&H, although it's very rare to see pitch quantized S&H in traditional/non-modular synths.
    I thought of a track like Architextures, for example, in regards to coming up with these arp'ish melodies. Quantizing to a chord in the logical editor makes it seem alot easier to come up with phrases, if you're stuck or haven't got a specific idea. I need to try this out. :)

    hey marula! thank you for this great lesson !
    question , why you press the value of 127? and not for example 138 and so on...
    thank you.

    • @MarulaMusic
      @MarulaMusic  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      MIDI data is typically from values of 0 to 127... for velocity you can't go any higher.

    Can you do that for hihat roll like random it would be great ,,,

    • @MarulaMusic
      @MarulaMusic  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sure, just load hihats into groove agent. You can randomize the velocity and the sample selection, if you want to create random patterns where it skips notes, delete a few of the pads so some pitches will trigger nothing but silence.

    • @MarulaMusic
      @MarulaMusic  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sergenity I don't use the Arturia stuff much... not sure about Oberhausen or Knifonium (I actually did some of the factory presets for them already, but I do have a pack out for DS Thorn. Planning on doing a bank for Zebra2 soon. I will also at some point have plans to upload some Softube Modular patches for free on the site.
