When I picked up this figure I knew I judged it way too early it's not nearly as ugly looking as I thought it would be and it has some pretty decent articulation so 7/10 for this guy. Good opening by the way oh yeah and if anyone wants to hear my thoughts on legacy just get what you want and what you don't want.
I didn't realize the reason for them not doing the stinger gun. I knew that male wasps didn't have stingers, and Kingdom is going for realistic beast modes, is the reason for the lack of a stinger. Now it just looks like he ripped the ass end off a wasp to do a semi threatening "don't come any closer! I mean it!" Then he just throws it at you. You are right though about it needing to come apart, it was the first thing i tried to see if it was possible. At least the T30 can still suffice for that. Maybe when they inevitably do MP Waspinator, it'll be a feature they include.
I don't know if that's the actual reason, just a Hypothesis. Man MP Waspinator can not come soon enough... Scratch that, they can come when the patreon is doing better.
I love Waspinator, and I like the thrilling 30's one I got a month ago, so I'm exited to pick this little guy up. Also Rattrap mafia gets me every time.

Thank you. And I don't hate the bug legs, but these are in the way, I get why they are so fat, it's to keep them from breaking, so I'm more on board with these than most others probably are.
There’s something odd I love about this figure. He’s really small and stuff but he’s got some of the best light-piping in a generations figure to the point where it still shines a bit even without light put onto it, and for such a small bloke, he feels really dense for his size. Like, this is my biggest issue with WFC as a whole, a lot of figures just don’t feel the proper weight for their size to me. Cliffjumper may be poor but I have to admit, he has a nice heft for his size, whereas things like the Ironhide mould, Impactor, Siege Megatron, etc all feel too light and like they could’ve done with a bit more budget in them whcih just makes them incredibly boring to mess with The only issues I have are the abdomen tabbing in in bug mode being a bit too tight for me, no stand compatibility in bug mode and the 2 sets of wings being moulded together but apart from that, he’s perfect IMO. If anything, his biggest visual issue to me is that he just steals the show on any shelf he’s on due to his colours
I still remember getting the first box case of Kingdom figures shipped to me from BBTS, I thought it was empty because it was so light. Yeah that abdomin don't want to tab. And yes he has pretty colors.

A random Transmetal Waspinator I found at a goodwill while shopping for clothes for college was what got me into collecting Transformers almost purely based on how cool an homage to the Starscream possession I found his "vehicle mode". Someday I'll get a new one of that guy that's actually complete and hopefully won't get thrown out while I'm away at college. (I took it home with me for Christmas and left it behind. Dog got it. RIP. )

While I was trying to give him of the voice of a tella novella protagonist. And as she's not supposed to have his voice. It's just a weird goofy voice that I thought sounded a little nerdy when I first get it.
-The intro skid, with the telenovela Waspinator and the three Blackarachnias calling him senpai, honestly don't understand it, but still saw it as funny. Kingdom Waspinator looks awesome. He's a well done figure, like the main green and yellow main body color scheme. And the purple in the bug and robot eyes and bug wings reminds me of his Animated incarnation. Which I say, bonus points. But I wish his stinger gun was more like the Thrilling 30 weapon instead. For me, I gave my Kingdom Waspinator a backstory that's of his BW toy bio. Being a fearsome warrior who strikes fear with the eerie sound of his ominous buzzing. He still retains his buzzing voice, but it would be in a more menacing tone. Bayverse Starscream, besides the robotic insectoid alien like features, as this Igor type henechman mannerism aspect. Which I also see in Waspinator too. With the hump hunchback look helping with that image. His BW cartoon version is cool and all, I enjoyed it. But after a while, his comedy relief style got stale, and the running gag of him being the punching bag that gets shot to pieces, crushed to pieces, and blown up to pieces, just got too predicable that it cringy.
What skid? There's no skid here. This is smooth riding. Also you know why they constantly blew up Waspinator right? It's because they didn't want to give him any lines sense he talks so slow it was taking up too much of the show's run time. It wasn't so much a running gag as the writers trying to not use him.

When I bought this last year his stinger gun was outright missing. I didn't want to go back for a refund, as he was the last on the shelf, and the hole looked baaaaaaad...but i found a transforming replacement WITH a harpoon stinger. VERY lucky, and decently priced. And pointy.
Sorry to hear that, Is there any chance that the weapon was actually stored inside that little cardboard cubby on the back underside of the insert Waspinator was strapped to? I know a lot of people didn't notice how they'd moved a lot of accessories inside that thing, and wound up throwing them away.
I once tried to rip him apart, and while he cannot be as disassembled as the T30, a lot of his joints are mushrooms pegs. So the “Waspinator’s normal work day compatibility” joints are: -His head -His waist -His forearms -His wrists -His thighs -His rear Bug legs

I think the reason he’s so small is because if you look at him while boxed, his bug legs are scraping the sides of the box, so they decided to make him smaller rather than make the box bigger
I feel this is definitely better than the T30 version by a long shot. Him being a Weaponizer would’ve been great, but he’s still worth purchasing. I actually love light-piping, such a shame they don’t use it was much as they used to.
See I don't think this is a slam dunk over that. This looks a little better, the transformations are about equal, the altmode here is a little better, and this poses a little better. It's not crushing the T30 in any catagory. Just by narrow margins.

When I bought this last year his stinger gun was outright missing. I didn't want to go back for a refund, as he was the last on the shelf, and the hole looked baaaaaaad...but i found a transforming replacement WITH a harpoon stinger. VERY lucky, and decently priced. And pointy.

I know a lot of people didn't notice how they'd moved a lot of accessories inside that thing, and wound up throwing them away.
I once tried to rip him apart, and while he cannot be as disassembled as the T30, a lot of his joints are mushrooms pegs. So the “Waspinator’s normal work day compatibility” joints are:
-His head
-His waist
-His forearms
-His wrists
-His thighs
-His rear Bug legs
I suppose those are options, though Ball Joints would feel more natural.
This figure may not be perfect, but it looks great next to my deformation space crimson wings, the possesser and possessee
I mean he will be tiny in comparison. But you can do a thing where the DS is looming over the Waspinator.
Waspinator is my favorite character period so by default this is the most important figure in kingdom to me even if it isn’t the one I like the most

I think the reason he’s so small is because if you look at him while boxed, his bug legs are scraping the sides of the box, so they decided to make him smaller rather than make the box bigger

I feel this is definitely better than the T30 version by a long shot. Him being a Weaponizer would’ve been great, but he’s still worth purchasing. I actually love light-piping, such a shame they don’t use it was much as they used to.
See I don't think this is a slam dunk over that. This looks a little better, the transformations are about equal, the altmode here is a little better, and this poses a little better.
It's not crushing the T30 in any catagory. Just by narrow margins.
