Also you can get Combat Shotgun from Nightmare Levels addon in main game via a glitch (best exploit in the game maybe?) Fanatics will use it after they are out of ammo on their automatic weapons. Easiest way to get one: engage a very first fanatic in the game to shoot you on the roof of the museum untill he's run out of SMG and then he will exchange his gun. Try to sit down in order to let him see you a bit but he'll be unable to hit you too much (AI in this game is pretty aimbottish, must admit). And also sometimes you can be still alive with 0 hitpoints. Enemies wouldn't see you but you can kill them with any weapon you have (however if you replenish health they'll become hostile again). Also if you sit down on this state you will not be able to get up...
do You remember the warp portal to the cathedral in Chapter 1 Map 2, you can find it near the "Little Secret" guy stuck in washing machine, really near the payphone there's a fenced window, although I happen to pass it through only by using the no clipping code... anyone on this one? And then follow a somber path you can be warped to that area
