Thats the most pristine, undented tuba ive ever seen. Even the best concert tubists dont have tubas that pristine. Until now, i thought that they just made them like that, all bangged up
@@MNKPlaysdid you not watch the video? everyone knows the flute doesn’t have a reed but the creator was obviously trying to be funny so he purposely put a broken reed on the flute. use the eyes God gave you.
Yeah man! Tuba is like the bass in a lil pop band- you dont know its there until you miss it- AND TRUST ME, YOU DONT WANT TO MISS IT. EVERYTHING GOES OUTTA TUNE WITHOUT YALL TO BUILD ON- We love yall :> - a flutist :>
As a flute player, I hate how everyone just assumes we don't have reeds, it's honestly so offensive... We just loose them all the time so you never see us using them. 😞
Yamaha makes upright 4-valve tubas but the reason why you don't ever see pros playing on those is because the orientation of the tuning slides makes it virtually impossible to adjust the pitch dynamically while playing. This here is a 3/4 Bb tuba designed for younger students and definitely not something you'd want to use in a concert unless that's all you got.
Tuba players were absolutely the talk of band in my 7th grade band. We only had one tuba and his name was yoyo (short for yohanjiro) and the tuba was like as big as him😭❤
Glad I’m not the only one who plays the flute but also has a reed :3 I actually have a reed because I tried one of my friend’s instruments and she gave me one of the reeds she had just bought
The reed on the flute caused literal pain 😭🤣🤣 I play bari sax and flute so the broken reed with it UPSIDE DOWN (it is, right? I'm not seeing things?) on the wrong instrument was just... man.
This is completely true, when my dad had to move for work and I showed at the first day of band camp telling the director I'm a tuba player who's just moved to your school, he fell to his knees and thanked the lord.
My band got two new tuba players this year, me, and my best friend. Though he is a bit volume shy, he never plays loud even when he’s supposed to blast, so I regularly shove him to remind him to play a bit louder
AAAAHHHHH!!!!!! I miss Smoke on the water for TUBA! My class Decided to play it 2X Fast without telling the teacher for FUN! Best cheer from the crowd we ever got!
This is so relatable. My high school diractor was always trying to recruite tuba players and new members. Once a week he would be on the PA to rectuite people and come to his office.
I loved playing tuba my last 2 years of high school. Started out with trombone in middle school. Then at the end of my sophomore year, I got asked to play tuba for the matching band my last 2 years. Technically it was a contra, definitely easier to manage than the sousaphone, but a lot harder on my back. I ended up having a bulging disc in my lower back because of it. And I was the only girl in the section those 2 years. My best friend had been moved from contra to euphonium because of health issues. She didn't like it. Her senior year she made them let her March contra or she wasn't marching at all.
The made my brother learn tuba because he was huge even in middle school (6’4”, hockey player build) and he was the only one who could carry it in the parades.
my best friend is a band kid, she plays clarinet. but i hear, all the time, about her older brother who plays the tuba. such a fascinating instrument, honestly
That’s band teachers with any person who can play a double Reese’s instrument too. When I applied for bassoon for my college, I saw immediately the stars in his eyes. He told me that he hasn’t had a bassoon player in YEARS!!!
That's exactly what happened to me my freshman year, except they knew i existed for all of 8th grade and asked me every chance they saw me if i was still joining the HS band.
Thats the most pristine, undented tuba ive ever seen. Even the best concert tubists dont have tubas that pristine. Until now, i thought that they just made them like that, all bangged up
It’s really nice but I did notice a pretty big dent
No we just drop them all the time lmao. We’re kids and it’s heavy.
We were kids*
Theres a giant dent front and center
@@isabellelim2573 they weren't heavy usually dropped cause someone bumped into it with their stand
The green trumpet and Jimmy. I just CAN’T! 😂😂
It was a Christmas gift from my wife. It’s a really cool toy

The flute with the reed 😂
Not the broken reed on the flute 😭
Yeah bro last time I checked the flute doesn’t have a reed😂
As a flute player i can confirm we only have three parts: the headjoint the bodyjoint and the footjoint
@@T0NK0TSU-EATERwhat about the tuning cap 🤓
@@TheLeeharveyOswalderm actually, it’s called the crown (jk)

I’m a tubist! Seeing these types of videos makes me so happy! Knowing that people do want me and my skills!
of course! without our low brass the band wouldn't sound so full and balanced! you guys are such an important part of the sound

Fellow Tubist here too!! I totally agree!!
@wolfydawolf5680 thanks❤️
@@ryph0bic thanks 💖
I relate to the excited whispers I was thrilled when the band got TWO new tuba players this year!
i’m the only one in a 90 person band
The concert band I’m in has five tubas, including me lol :)
I'm in orchestra, and this is exactly how we felt when we got another bass
@geraldthebroccoli real
Learning tuba for my band as a euphonium rn
The flute with a reed is so real though 😭
Help I saw that and I almost cried 😂😂😂
As a flute player, I hate how everyone just assumes we don't have reeds, it's honestly so offensive... We just loose them all the time so you never see us using them. 😞
Exactly queen for picc too like do u not understand this?
exactly 😔
Exactly, like I use a reed all the time. Are they blind?
I know right, I’m always losing my flute and piccolo reed it’s just exhausting 😢
Same 😑😒 It’s annoying how they don’t notice it’s quite obvious we use reeds.
Not the reed on a FLUTE😂😂😂😂
As a flute player i can confirm we only have three parts: the headjoint the bodyjoint and the footjoint
@HellparkTweek I’m a clarinetist.
YESSSSSSSSSS🙌
lol the flute reminds me of one of our trumpet players has had a clarinet ligature on his mouthpiece for the past 3 years
Haha! This was me with the bass clarinet; kids lost their mind a few years back when I transferred. Senior year now and still going strong ! :)
Smoke on the water is fire 🔥
Not really
I knew it as soon as he played it
Played the drums for this piece
We were gonna play that but it was too difficult for most people because it was all 3 bands (honor, symphonic, and concert)
it's good but kinda overrated
I have not seen a 4 valve in-line Tuba before, I have a Euphonium like that and I usually see 4 valve Tubas that are rotary
My school has some that are both, but we have to share them between the 2 upper ensembles and the 2 lower ensembles.

Guys the flute is a real WOODwind now

As a tuba player myself this fills me with so much joy 😂😊
The read on the flute 😭😭😭
I just love playing my flute with a reed on it 🤩🤩🤩
The upside down clarinet…..
Glad I’m not the only one who plays the flute but also has a reed :3
I actually have a reed because I tried one of my friend’s instruments and she gave me one of the reeds she had just bought
the broken reed in the flute is sending me😭
WHY THE HELL IS THERE A BROKEN REED STRAPPED TO A FLUTE, MY EYES NEED HOLY WATER
The reed on the flute caused literal pain 😭🤣🤣 I play bari sax and flute so the broken reed with it UPSIDE DOWN (it is, right? I'm not seeing things?) on the wrong instrument was just... man.
GET THAT REED OUT OF MY SIGHT!!!
the smoke on the water at the end healed my low brass soul
Scott and Jimmy from the sousaphone section
nice Smoke on the water bass line at the end!
The Reed on the flute 😂😂😂😂 I'm done😂😂
My reed on my flute looks like that too😊!! except it has green and white fluffy spots on it i dont know what thats it .....!(joking) 😃
As a clarinetist, the broken reed on the flute had me rolling on the floor 😂😂😂
Love this! Also the music at the end “you’re in the band” from school of rock!!!😆
WHY IS THERE A REED ON THE FLUTE 😂
Tuba and French horn were so exciting to get!
This is completely true, when my dad had to move for work and I showed at the first day of band camp telling the director I'm a tuba player who's just moved to your school, he fell to his knees and thanked the lord.
Me and my tiny friend playing bass and tuba in band was fun as heck in highschool. She owns hers too, and played amazing
the reed on the flute is killinh me 😭
The soft mallets on the Xylophone threw me off haha
My band teacher was so happy when I said that I play saxophone because they didn’t have a saxophone player and I am the only one
My band got two new tuba players this year, me, and my best friend. Though he is a bit volume shy, he never plays loud even when he’s supposed to blast, so I regularly shove him to remind him to play a bit louder
SO TRUE, just became a tuba and now every band member at my school rely on me to carry
The reed on the flute😭😭😭
love the flute with the chipped clarinet reed (looks like mine)
In my school it’s we have one tuba, one French horn, and only three trombones (I’m a trombone :D) meanwhile we have about 7 trumpets
Ahem

That reed on the flute is hilarious 😂
The reed on the flute caught me so off guard I thought it was an oboe 😭

That tune took me back middle school 😂
I am a clarinet player and when I saw the broken Reed on the flute my heart stoped for a second
The reed on the flute is wild
Ive been playing Tuba for 4 yrs and up until this year I've been the only tuba in my class. We finally have an actual tuba section now
The reed on the flute had me rolling 😂😂😂
The made my brother learn tuba because he was huge even in middle school (6’4”, hockey player build) and he was the only one who could carry it in the parades.
as a tuba, i love everything about this video.
That dent on the tuba looks like the dent on the bell of my base clarinet 😊
Not the flute trying his hardest to be a woodwind🤣
my best friend is a band kid, she plays clarinet. but i hear, all the time, about her older brother who plays the tuba. such a fascinating instrument, honestly

the random smoke on the water honestly sounded amazing
The flute with the reed, and the green trumpet is actually so funny bro 😞

The reed on the flute just to call it a woodwind 😂
Smoke on the water on tuba is awesome 😂
this is like choir directors with tenors and basses 😭😭😭
The only tuba player we had was one of the smallest kids in our grade, he was a trooper 😭😭
Smoke on the tuba. Nice
Never thought about tuba having 035 as a beginner song too
When a flute and a clarinet love each other very much…
I love the mighty tuba
teacher: yep he’s the one alright HES THE ONE
THIS IS EXACTLY, WORD FOR WORD, what happened to me. Good work your videos are so relatable
Not the flute with a reed strapped on it 😂
"Smoke on the Water".. never thought I'd hear that on a tuba
Smoke on the water is how you test if an instrument plays correctly
literally me with bass. one time the jazz band teacher signed me up for jazz band without consulting me AT ALL. i got so pissed!
