I owned one like that bought new in 1988,it was a cutting fool but like a dumbass I sold it,awhile back I bought an '89 model self propelled one that needs some work, I got it for $25 and got two bags with it,I'm saving it for a project for this fall,those Hi Vac decks are an excellent design.
Good old snapper These mowers are getting harder to fine I don’t think there’s too many left around my area I have not been able to find one in years I would love to get one myself they’re good little units and it’s a shame how people can just neglect their stuff and let them go to the scrapper
Hello again! I had a inquiry I could use your advice on as you've bought plenty. I have near me what looks to be a snapper mower that looks like this one, but with a cylindrical air cleaner on it for sale. It has a dethatcher that comes with it, a bag, and it has electric start and self propel. The self propel works but the electric start doesn't. It's for sale for 35 dollars and was wondering if I should snatch it for thst price. The listing says it ran last year but hasn't been started this year so I wouldn't think it would be that hard to get running. My only concern is if I could get parts for that electric start system.

@@MrTL117 feel you there. Got lucky with the one I have. Haven't needed to do anything to it except put an air filter in it and change the oil normally. Dude was just going to throw it away too!. I've only found one after that and the engine was trash, but I kept the deck and plan on repainting and finding a new motor to put on it

I would recommend the SUNOCO non ethanol pump gas ⛽

I love my honda mower and it's superior to my snapper in alot of ways, but it doesn't hold a candle to it when it comes to cutting quality.

I'd grab it for sure, Interesting it has electric start! The dethatcher alone is worth 35 in my opinion as well as the bag
