    Thanks for sharing! Both Koh Chang and the surrounding islands Koh Kood, Koh Maak and Koh Wai are wonderful islands to visit! Koh Wai even have some beautiful tiny beaches only available with a small boat or Kayak.

    Klong Chao waterfall has a history for its name which means "royal canal". In the reign of King Rama I (~240 years back), king of Vietnam took this place for asylum between riot time in Vietnam. In later time King Rama VI visited the place and named it "Anam Kok" in old Vietnamese (Nguyen) meaning royal canal in memorial of the Vietnamese king. Today the name was translated to Thai as "Klong Chao".

    I’ll be in Thailand next week (starting in Patong). Is it still possible to book different island excursions during the rainy season? Are these island trips still worth it or does the rain and waves ruin the experience? Can’t wait to be in Thailand!

    How's the weather there sir? We want to come but we are afraid it's rainy.

  • @สุทธิศักดิ์มธุรพงศากุล

    Klong Chao Waterfall used to have a Vietnamese king immigrated away from here for almost 2 years with his family.
    Including King Rama 5, King Rama 6 of Thailand used to come down for Thailand to visit here. and signed on the rock cliff.😊
    Therefore, it is the origin of the name of the waterfall.
    Klong = Canal , Chao = King
