Phenomenal episode. Really helps shed light on the complexity COVID brings in how it affects bodies in such varied ways with really unpredictable outcomes.

Great Informative episode. It explains so much. I had EBV (mono) once when I was 11 or 12 and once around 2018. I've had ME/CFS since childhood. I got Covid-19 early in Seattle Jan. 2020 & by May I had to leave my job.
COVID-19 reactivated everything in my system including my monthly cycle (I had a hysterectomy 15 years prior) & no cycles until Longhaul Covid in 2021.
2021 & 2022 was a blur of seeing Doctors, Physical & Mental Health Specialists, U of WA. Post Covid Clinic & applying for SSDI.
    None provided much help.
I got Covid before test kits were available so there was no proof for SSDI. (DESPITE BEING TREATED & TAKING MEDS FOR 2 YEARS)
My health deteriorated (along with relationships with my partner, family & friends) and now my eyesight.
I'm so thankful that it was mentioned here, blurry eyesight is no fun when your brain, body & spirit are broken.
Most of my tests came back normal except my xrays showing deterioration in my fingers from arthritis.
I had my SSDI hearing on Wednesday April 6, 2023. It was over the phone & short. My judge deemed me "Unable to do the jobs" that the vocational expert suggested.
My lawyer thinks it's a win. I'll keep my "arthritic" fingers crossed & start my healing process on my own.
Taylor & her b.f. look like a great couple.
It's so important to have that kind of support system.
I don't but am looking forward to a healthy future with someone who has empathy & understanding, instead of trying to pick fights with me.
I'm saving all of my energy to fight ME/CFS, Longhaul Covid & Post Viral diseases.
    2023 is looking UP!

Thanks for sharing! So glad you had a good outcome with your hearing. We’ve talked to others who are struggling to get disability coverage for long Covid for multiple reasons. Curious if have found any treatments or doctors who have been able to help you? And if so, what or who?

@@SurvivorDiariesOfficial No, unfortunately...University Of Washington (State) said to try baby aspirin but and Low Dose Naltrexone (prescribed by my Naturopathic Physician) which seemed to stave off infections. Taking Quercetin, NAC, anti-inflammatories, adderall plus other supplements What helps most is a bland diet of healthy foods & liquids with no chemicals, preservatives or dyes. Really hard to do in this world but beats being sick.

This is really common in Northern CA. I live in Nor Cal too. I had to give up being a medical assistant too to prioritize my health after covid

I had chronic lyme for years and was just feeling better before covid hit. I got really mild covid. Later, after I already recovered, I got tons of horrible symptoms. Same symptoms as you.

Same here. I'm so thankful I found this video, which helped me connect the dots. I had chronic fatigue for 30 years. I took homeopathic nosodes to detox Lyme, vaccinosis, mycoplasma, heavy metals, viruses, I can't remember what else. Then I had a mild case of covid. Did not get any covid shots. I had a bad reaction to being exposed to covid shot shedding & became seriously ill for 3 months. I have chronic fatigue again. Guess I'll start all the detoxes again and use supplements, etc to reboot my immune system.

I just found out going on one month that I've had covid 3 times and have atleast RMSF. I finished the doxy but the other tick test havent come back in yet still and I'm a Land Surveyor Civil Engineer by trade and havent missed a week of work in 17 years and this month has left me a shell of who I was and I feel like I'm getting worse. I cant swallow now like I have a pill stuck in my throat? High anxiety. I cant walk in the yard let alone miles in the woods by myself like I have my whole adult life idk what to do. I have a family to take care of and surveying is only thing I know? It's scary. I couldn't even remember my address when the ups guy pulled up one day. Supposedly I have long haul covid now and the RMSF should be gone? Idr ever having any I was A symptomatic evertime I had covid. Were just going off the antibody test and when my wife had delta I kissed her the nite b4 diagnosis and idn get it or show symptoms at all. The last one was in the last 3 mo my dr says? I can think of 1 time I thought I may have had it when ig first came out because my coworker and i both had something but it wasnt flu or strep and covid wasn't known about until a month later about January or 2020. I get bit by ticks for a living surveying in Arkansas. My health is just gone down hill in the last really 3 mo but doctor put it together a month ago and she is a nurse practitioner actually bless her cause thg he dr I havent seen in over a year.

Me and my wife recently moved to southern Illinois, and as we're clearing our property we got eaten alive by ticks fleas all types of bugs I was attacked by ground bees Everytime I tried to mow, we both were recently told we got Rocky mountain, and I only wish to leave this area now. I heard a little bit about ticks but never knew it was this bad here. Lived in Louisiana most my life only had to worry about snakes and skitters there lived in Colorado for three years loved it , there nothing to worry there but southern Illinois is infested...
