Last year our QB was snapping the ball into the motion guy. This year our QB looked off a single high safety to complete a touchdown pass to his one on one receiver on the outside and triple checked a play into a big run play. After last week I am very excited for this game.
Love the show…tons of Philly transplants here in Charleston SC who are huge Rhule fans and getting behind the Huskers/becoming fans…lots of Husker talk locally since Rhule’s hire. The Philly people are incredibly passionate about sports and are well studied on Rhule, there is a level of confidence when they speak about Rhule that is hard to articulate. Can’t wait until Saturday. GBR!
As a student at Nebraska during the '14 Miami game, that game has always been my favorite atmosphere for any game but I think this Saturday could beat it.
That was an awesome display by the students! I literally wrote about that game the other day and my sentiment was and is that students out do that night. Make Memorial stadium historically hostile!
I was at that Nebraska vs Ohio State game in Lincoln! That was an incredible atmosphere. I'll be at the Colorado game this weekend as well. Should be electric!
What i like most bout this podcast is you can feel how in tune you are with one another. Its like watching exactly howd i am with my best friends from my childhood.
1:08:14 the first thunderstruck light show was Northwestern ‘21… But how are y’all gonna leave out the Alex Henry Kick with the Suh Touchdown? Or Hail Westerkamp???
Yes sir, with heavy a dose of the running back stable, the hammer. Then followed by Blackshirt 3 and out, the tongs. Do that 3-4 times a game, “The ole hammer and tongs “ just taking teams behind the wood shed
I'm not gonna say Dylan is the man yet, but I have zero doubts now that he can't handle a big moment. Couple sloppy throws but over all, very impressed
What we have yet to find out about Dylan. And it will be a thing we won’t know for some time. Is he a clutch player. We haven’t had a guy who I would call clutch at the QB position since the Zac Taylor, Joey Ganz days. We had some QBs that could play well in glimmers. In fits and starts. But when the game was on the line we haven’t had a guy under center who you look at and go “this guy can win this game.” I hope we don’t find that out this week honestly. If the team plays up to their capabilities, with the crowd, the sea of red in full effect, it’s at night, we should be able to cover. CU will get some points for sure but they didn’t show anything alarming against NDSU in my opinion. They have a great QB, some freaks at WR, but the line play is meh and the running game is non existent. If we get push in the trenches this has the potential to be over quickly. Loudest I’ve ever heard Memorial stadium was when Henery hit the 56yd vs CU. Only to then be eclipsed by Suh picking and then absolutely TRUCKING Cody Hawkins.
CU has a big time QB and receivers. What's the answer for NU? It's DEFENSE: 2014 NU vs. Miami and 1995/6 NU vs. Florida fun-n-gun. Sanders will get his receptions but needs to be pressured a lot...and spend time on his back on the turf...a LOT. Regarding the offense: Obviously, this isn't the 2014 offense with Ameer, or the NU option offense of old...but the new pro-style NU offense with Dylan at the helm will be run-heavy with short passes in the flat to R.Johnson and in the middle seam to our tight ends....with an occasional play-action shots to Banks/Nayor down the sidelines and deep middle. Thoughts? P.S. - What's the over/under on the number of false start and delay of game penalties or inopportune CU timeouts due to crowd noise? Me: 3.5 false start + delay of game + bad timeouts on CU due to crowd noise.
I was rooting for NDSU to demorlize CUs spirits. Either way Colorado is going to wilt by midway 3rd quarter with the tenacity of hitting the blackshirts are going to bring.
Great podcast discussion! My wife & I are lifelong Husker fans. We'll be flying from home in Oregon to see game at Memorial! GBR!

Huge fan. Leaving 2014 Miami off the list for two losses is shocking.
Flying in from Reno for the game - my wife’s first Husker game and first major CFB game EVER
Go Big Red! I love this podcast!!

Great episode. Wish you covered our O Line and their D Line a little.
Long sustained drives that end in a touchdown. That's the key. You have to score a touchdown.

This is where Tony White makes his bones
Can't personally confirm the atmosphere but we did play and beat a ranked ND team in 2000 27-24. Bet that was something to see!
Destroyed the previous record for GameDay attendance too

We need to get Damon Benning and you guys together for a call in post game show
*I LIKE THIS NON DELUSIONAL NEBRASKA TALK*. #SKOBUFFFS. 😁😉
Facts they don't know what's about to happen to them in Lincoln 😮😂😂😂😂
Jamal Lord, Texas night game.

I think we run the ball, throw a lot of short passes. Make their db's tackle instead of covering. When their tired and beat up we go over the top
Got the Zoltar name drop
I’m a promise ring victim myself 😂

1999 A&M. 2000 Colorado. ND 2001.
Buck the Fuffaloes
It seems like going for it on 4th down needlessly and not making. Kind of took the air out of the balloon for a while
If Im Rhule I make this game about the seniors both offensively &defensively. Start Rahmir at RB. Seniors Im sure want this one in a bad way.
The excuse is the explosiveness of Sheduer and Hunter. Hope NE finds a way to stop them.
Maybe Shedeur has a bad game. I don't think he's had one yet, so he's def due.
Michigan St
We lifted their hype train into oblivion last year now they’ll lift ours
GBR 🌽🏈☠️ 15 💥🏆♥️🚫🦬🚫
CU was better than Nebraska! And will be better than Nebraska again 😂😂😂😂
Nebraska will get gashed on the ground, worried about the pass.
That's hilarious
@@CivilizedSavageaverage uneducated buffs fan.
Once or twice ya it's hard to avoid it with sanders, Hunter and Hhood. But our Defense will have Sanders running around and on his back
You must not have heard of Nash or Ty…your running game will be obliterated by our D-Line….Colorado fans don’t know shit about football
