Definitely do a VIN# Check through your County Clerks Office before Buying!
I had a 2002 Honda Odyssey for 10yrs! w/ a Clear Blue Texas Title & then I went to do my yearly registration & all went well until a month later!
I got a letter from my Clerks Office, stating, "that I must pull my tags, Do Not Drive my Car because it was "Not Safe for Texas Highways"
Even though I had a Clear Blue Texas Title for a little over 10yrs!
I found out that Florida made a mistake when entering the VIN # to a similar vehicle & they couldn't correct their mistake! Texas wouldn't help!
This put us, a disabled married Man without a vehicle!
I sold it for parts, $200, I paid $4k for it!
Then I received another letter a year later stating, "Your Car is Safe For Texas Roadways" the mistake was corrected! I said, I already Sold it for scrap because of what you've claimed!
I went to many dealerships & they never heard of a State basically doing a Title Seizure after the Vehicle was cleared for over 10yrs!
All Coastal States have a new Computer System to prevent the sales of Salvage or Flooded Vehicles.
That's what Florida DMV Told me. I got screwed!

Here in The Netherlands with 9,5 mln cars on the road only 5844 cars were reported stolen in 2023, mostly by gangs that bring them abroad (Eastern Europe) for parts wrecking. Our title and registration system is very watertight in terms of database couplings to citizenship registration, automatic road tax implementation, mandatory technical inspection and insurance, and it's cheap and efficient (transferring ownership takes 2 minutes at a service desk and costs 10 euros). Bringing a stolen car back into commerce is vitually impossible or so complicated that it's not worthwile. You could try to drive without insurance, road tax or technical inspection but you won't get far before you're caught by the scanners and they will make you regret it big time. So why don't the US come see and learn how to do it right?

If Holland would be a police state by now then you wherever you are in the Anglo world , despite your self-loathing Slavic name, already are in Orwell territory.

Great tip. Recently I went to see a couple of cars that were in those little used car lots here in San Antonio TX. All 3 cars I inspected needed thousands of dollars in repairs, so personally, I'm never going back to those little dealers. They grab cars from auction and don't fix anything, including the tires. Both places didn't even try to offer me a deal. I just wasted my time. I had to go to another bigger dealer, and even they played games. I did buy a car from the bigger dealer, but I think that I'm going to skip them too and just go to the even bigger dealers since they offer at least one month warranty indeed. That was my personal experience. Have any used car inspected by your mechanic and be very meticulous. Even if are planning to use places like Car max or drive time or echo park etc. Or even the bigger dealers. If not, it could cost you thousands of dollars in repairs after you leave the lot. You even have to inspect new cars meticulously. I've seen new cars with issues! I used to work for a new car dealer as a tech. Thanks for the video 👍

I buy cars from private sellers online and I ask them to verify the title with me at the DMV before the transaction is made. The scammers always make excuses of why the don't want to verify the title at the DMV with me. If they are real owners then they have no problem meeting me at the DMV to verify the title. It works every time.

Small dealerships fencing stolen performance cars is as old as performance cars. Know a guy who got free room and board for 10 years. It wasn't for selling the cars, it was the IRS who got him. The IRS does not screw around when it comes to putting bad boys and girls away for a long time.

If you have a push to start LT/LS car or a mopar vehicle in any major blue metropolitan area you’re screwed. The only option is to do what I did and spend $1800 on a tracking/immobilizer. Push to start is the worst thing that has ever happened in vehicles. They break the window, program a key- gone in two minutes.
