The bench is actually a pretty good hiding spot. I played Hide and seek with my family often times at partys and i just sat down with some grown ups... They serched a while for my and literally ran around me and whatched under the table and stuff

The best hiding place I used when I was a scout leader was putting a kid on my back. I would literally be walking around near the kid searching in the dark with one of the kids he was searching for on my back! It would take them ages to find them!

If I recall, the AI engine in Isolation is only deceived so far. Keep using the same hiding methods, including lockers, enough and the xenomorph will start looking for you there. Including opening those lockers.
If you've ever played The Escapists 2, you'll remember the lockers you could hide in to lose the guards. They could chase you right up to the locker, watch you jump inside it, and immediately assume that you had just stopped existing.
I can't believe they released a video where the shots of the hosts were replaced by an empty room, except for that weird part where Luke and Andy show up for a brief time and when Andy came in and Mike popped into existence.

Seriously, hiding from a killer maid by using an iron maiden is...odd.
But sometimes hiding behind the doors while you're being chased is much better. Especially if there isn't any light behind the door.
I just realised no one said anything about the Gray Cowl of Nocturnal from Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The you can put the thing on right in front of someone who wants to kill you and it literally erased you from history. Doesn't get more OP than that.

The locker thing reminds me of Bendy and the Ink Machine’s case since even if the enemies see you go in there, they immediately forget that you were even there
Actually the Alien checks the lockers on Hard Mode, when you use them too often. Nothing f... your day more, than being dragged out off your favourite comfy locker...
What about pretending to be a mannequin?
WatchDogs has a hide-n-seek PvP game mode, online hacking. It is a wondeful testament that guards in stealth games are pretty realistic. There are several "hiding in plain sight" strategies. One of them is to climb into the display window of a clothing shop. The seeker will run before you, run in and out of the shop, and hopefully will stand right before you at the final reveal. Not 100%, but pretty close.
I would have replaced the Lockers with the gurney's.
You can crouch and hide under them and the Alien just doesn't see you, despite the fact that the gurney isn't that big and you can see it quite clearly.
What about RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE SHADOWS just in the hide ing places in Persona 5
How about "Homefront the Revolution" the alarm goes off you run and hide in a trash dumpster, the guard runs up to the dumpster staring right at you peeking out and "oh well can't find him" then just walks away.
More in breath of the wild: you can hide underneath a lizalfos' face.

i have a possible explanation to the botw masks: maybe ALL of ganon enemies are only using smell to detect stuff and the mask smell like them so they recognize him as one of their own

Hiding under a table in either of the Styx games, master of shadows and Shards of Darkness.
I like to imagine Skyrim Stealth represents you actually magically becoking near invisible and melding with the shadows.

I remember in Star Was Kotor2 there was a character who would equip her mother's Jedi robe if you got enough influence with her. And you could go back through the dialogue tree, so all you had to do was unequip the robe and go back over and over to get an unlimited number of them, which sold for 2000 credits a piece. Very lucrative. The only downside was you could only get this particular companion if you were playing as a male Jedi Exile.

The conveniently shaped lamp is easily explained.
Papyrus hates jokes and gags, and when sans isn't doing his job.
So when sans asks to look at the lamp.
Papyrus believes it's an attempt that sans is taking too stall.
And papyrus never saw a human before.
How would he know if it was a human or another similar lamp?
Well honestly, Papyrus isn’t the smartest so he wouldn’t really see. He’s concentrating on Sans too though. Also it’s funny so I let the conveniently shaped lamp past it all when I saw it and played it.

To be fair, how would a xenomorph know that clanging sound was from a locker door without eyes? (I don't know how sensitive their hearing is).
What about the Metal Gear Series R&D's greatest creation? I mean really. All you have to do is hide in an up-side-down Box with handling holes in front and enemies never really notice anything wierd, especially when the box appears on to be in a different spot everytime they turn to look or just slightly tilted with the holes staring right back at them. Not to mention it being wierdly upgradeable into a mini tank for two people in Peace Walker.

The masks are actually meant to smell like the enemies so they get confused. Lynel though learn fast even if you wear a mask around them. Bokoblins and the others are just. Really. Dumb. Oops.

I cant remember the name of it but the first horror game i ever played i had to hide in a locker, wait for the monster to go into the other room and then come out and run past them and i was terrified of that monster so indefinitely stayed in the locker. After he'd walked around a few times he realised i was in the locker and shoved his chainsaw in killing me instantly (i never touched the game after that)

i loved those masks, sometimes just to kill time cause i was bored i went and got torn clothes and dyed them red and blue so i could love among the enemies then at night i'd put on stealth armor to just among us them 1 at a time, and if i messed it up then yeetus deletus your entire camp is gone
So the Zelda one seems far-fetched, but it actually may not be. In nature, some animals and insects can blend in with predators or dangerous creatures simply by smelling like them. I'm just saying, in Breath of the WIld, you can buy Monster Extract from the guy. He probably lines the masks with the stuff. I mean, they only work on the monster it looks like, and they still seem very suspicious and cautious about the situation. Hence why they gather around you, and... investigate. And like I said, it only works on specific monsters, Bokoblin mask for the Bokoblins and Lynal mask for Lynals. Otherwise, they immeciately see through the chrade and attack.
How could you guys leave out the ghilie mantel from monster hunter, put on a few leaves in front of a monster and suddenly the giant angry pickle loses track of the guy who, just a second ago, was smacking its head upside.

Actually, the Assassin’s Creed benches and crowds are a real thing. It has to do with how your brain groups things. “Our guy was alone” is sorta how it works to be honest. If you’re playing hide and seek at a party sometime, try hiding at a populated table

Skyrims stealth mechanics were pretty funny. What got me was shooting someone with a bow and if they didn't see you, they'd always say "must be my imagination". Despite the arrow sticking out of them.
I'm playing a sneaky Archer-Mage this time around and it's crazy to shoot them dead between the eyes while they're staring right at me with my drawn, glowing magical bow, then hear, "Huh... Nothing, then." ~lol~
Little do you know, the bandits recently fought an illusionist mage who made them THINK they were shot with a bow. They're not falling for it a second time.
Until, y'know, they find out it was a real arrow this time.

The funny thing is Ubisoft addressed this in Valhalla. If you put your hood up, it hides your weapons.

Timothy McLean they can after a little ways through the game. Just long enough for you to feel like it works. Then they rip you out of the locker and give you a kiss with their little mouth. I think that's what's happening at least, it cuts to black.

In my current playthrough of Skyrim I decided to use the fortify restoration loop to create a ring that improves my sneak skill by a literal factor of 10,000. It improves sneak by just over 1,000,000%. Now I can crouch and become invisible even in front of friendlies. There's not a single being, friend or foe, in the entire universe who can see me when I make myself slightly shorter than normal, EVEN INCLUDING while I'm actively attacking them with magica. They literally can never detect me. They know _someone_ is there, _somewhere_ , but the ring is so OP that if I'm not standing upright, I'm totally and permanently invisible.
It's fun.

@@lalloronadelmuerto9156 The fortify loop is where you use alchemy to raise your enchanting to raise your alchemy to raise your enchanting, then improve it some more, etc. Then at the end, you can also throw in a smithing boost. Boom, +1000000% whatever you want.
The Skyrim stealth gets so much more hilarious when you've invested enough time into using Illusion magic to get the Quiet Casting perk; the sounds of dying screams in lieu of big, fuck-off fireballs is suppressed for everything in the game. So you can mark 'deaf' on the laundry list of things wrong with the denizens of Skyrim, but that might have been a given seeing as how a burly beast-and/or-person is shouting dragon swear words at hapless wildlife alongside everything else that moves.
Well, illusion magic is basically messing around with the enemies minds like playdough,
so it’s not that they are suddenly deaf now, but literally forcing them to not perceive it

My husband somehow eluded the police in GTA5 after the gold heist at the end by accidentally falling into a sidewalk just around the corner from the heist. The walkway went alongside the building and was sort of sunken so it was below the level of the road. As he panicked because he was stuck, he eventually realized that the police couldn't see him and had absolutely no idea where he was. If I didn't see it with my own eyes, I never would have believed him when he told me about it. Lights... sirens... pandemonium... and those little starts started flashing and ticking down. Absolutely could not believe it!
Yep, tighter hiding spots are better for escaping the boys in blue.
The silliest thing about those Alien: Isolation lockers is that they're such a long way into the future, but continue to make the same annoying racket as they have done since the 1940s.
Even better, it's not too long into the game that the xenomorph has enough of your shit and just rips you out of it, mostly because the sound drew them to you.
@@Sovereighn2280 the alian is programed to learn from your behaviour hide in lockers everytime he comes around he starts checking them everytime. Use noisemakers to get away he will ignore the damn things and make a beeline to you.

That doesn't even begin to count the disguises you obtain that people accept without even a check of 'your' ID badge

To be fair to AC games, hiding in a crowd is actually a really good way to hide, and having a sword and dagger wasn't exactly unusual for Italian gentlemen of the period. (What's more unusual is that every single civilian is NOT armed to the teeth. 1500ish was not a good period for Italy.)

Yeah, there's that. I mean, they had to implement laws forbiding people from randomly loosing arrows out of their windows for sport (prior to that, the logic kind of was "without aiming, there was no malicious intent", I supose).
Renaissance Italy might have being great for art, but was actually pretty weird.

Eh, I'm willing to forgive that because of the limitations of the game - a real world Ezio would be wearing clothes that blend in, it's just that they make him distinct and easily distinguished from the masses for game design reasons. It's the same kind of issue as the civs not being visibly armed - they would be, but if everyone was wearing a sword, it'd be harder to figure out who's a guard and who's a possible hiding place.
And if you're thinking they'd recognize his face, there's a couple of major problems with that - the hood makes it harder to catch a good look at the face from the side, so they might not know his face - even if they dueled, their focus would be more on the sword and body movements - focusing on a man's face in a sword fight looks cool and manly, but is a good way to get stabbed with a sword. Plus, crowds tend to make scanning faces a bit challenging - though granted, it takes more than the 3 other people it takes in the game to cause that effect.
If you want a bigger flaw, it's the courtesan thing - the guy standing in the middle of a group of 4 dancing, flirtatious, hot women is going to attract a lot of attention. And while some men will spent their time looking at the girls, plenty are going to be glaring jealously at the guy.

To be fair, Sans knew how his brother would react, so he knew Papyrus would refuse. And for the Zelda masks, I think Lynels are smart enough to figure it out eventually.
With the latter it does say that it "only fools them for a short while. Lynels are smart."
Lynels figure it out after about 3-5 seconds. And then kick your butt because the mask provides almost zero defense.
Also Majora's Mask (DLC item) acts as a universal mask. Expect it actually looks convincing. Still doesn't fool Lynels indefinitely.

A continuation on the breath of the wild masks, If you buy the DLC and get Majora's mask, your much more exposed and visible than the normal masks, and Majora's mask works on all enemies that can be fooled

YaterTheGamer it allows for more discussion and also gets rid of countdowns from worst to greatest and so on. That way they can make a second video with commentors suggestions too. I like their style

Speaking of paper masks, Okami does the same thing. In the Moon Cave you get a blank sheet of paper to draw on as a mask. This single sheet of paper is enough to fool every single imp in the cave, who think you (as a white wolf) looks just like them and they let you pass harmlessly. I drew a -_- face on mine.
You could literally draw the kanji for "God" and they'd have no idea.
It is less about your shape and more about wearing the mask at all.

@@lordnul1708 Nope, not in this case. It's not by chance this trope is often used for stories of humans lost in yokai territory. It is basically supposed to hide the true nature of the one who wears it unless you already know what their said nature is.
