    Thank you so much. I took my dad's nylon 66 apart to clean it as it hadn't been cleaned in 43 years. That spring and pin fell out. I couldn't figure out where it went. You made my daughter and myself very happy! Thanks again. You have a new subscriber :)

    One observation that I have not seen covered: The striking difference between the bolts for 66 vs. 77 and 10C! The 77 & 10C have a ridge on the bottom side to direct the shell coming up from the clip into the chamber! Using a 66 flat-bottomed bolt in a 77 turns it into a Jam-o-matic!

      @@THESHOOTERSCHANNEL I really like your calm demeanor in doing the video! It really was filmed perfectly! Even though I have seen these weapons since they first came out, I never owned one. Your video took me right through from a bag of parts to Range Ready! The big shock was having an Apache 77 & a 10C side by side. The 77 shot flawlessly and the 10C was Mr Stovepipe! When I got home, I dug into both...Obvious error using a 66 Bolt in a 10C! No wonder the previous Owner hated it!

    Awesome! Thank you SO MUCH! I recently purchased one to give to my father for his birthday this year. He had one as a child and has spoken about it multiple times. I found a nice example and bought it. The insides were SO DIRTY. I cleaned it all up now except for the bolt. This is my project for tomorrow. Great video! 😀😀😀

    How do I figure out the manufacture date of my Nylon 66?

    • @danielsmith1925
      @danielsmith1925 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Serial number. But From 58 to 67 there were no serial number so the earlier ones are harder to tell

    • @adrianotero7963
      @adrianotero7963 ปีที่แล้ว

      When the serial number starts with an A it is from 1977 to last year 1989.

    Good Morning. It would be possible to adapt another ammo extractor. Because mine broke , it 's not ejecting the ammunition .

    Is it possible to give me the measurements of this ammo extractor? It would be to manufacture another. Mine broke , only the pin and the spring were left

    I'm going to completely disassemble, clean and re-assemble my Nylon 66. I'll use my Lyman Turbo-sonic with ultrasonic gun parts cleaner to clean all the metal parts. Then apply a very light spritz of RemLube to all the metal parts prior to re-assembly. QUESTION: What kind of cleaning liquid should I use to clean all the nooks and crannies of the Nylon 66 stock? I received my Nylon 66 as a gift and it looks like it has never been cleaned. Also, is there anything I can use to remove the tiny spots of rust and coat the gun so it doesn't rust anymore. I live in Arizona, so if i clean it up and keep it dry (that's easy in the desert), I suspect that the gun should remain clean and stop any more rusting.

      "Big 45 Polishing Pad" (Amazon.com) with so gun oil on the rusty spots on the bluing....Great product that I have used on WW II P.38 Pistols w/o damaging the bluing...
