  • This video is the first in a series detailing 100 symptoms of perimenopause. This video lists 50 perimenopause symptoms you may be suffering from right now, only you may not realize that hormones may be the cause. Perimenopause often comes with numerous symptoms, some annoying, others shocking, some worrisome, and several downright scary. It is common for middle aged women to be concerned about the appearance of new and surprising symptoms because it is not always obvious that hormones are to blame. This extensive list detailing 50 symptoms of perimenopause is intended to give women some peace of mind by shedding some light on the possible cause of their new and strange symptoms. I hope this video is helpful. You will find the link to the second video in this series below listing 50 MORE perimenopause symptoms. If you are interested in more content for middle aged women subscribe. I make videos on all things midlife. Thanks for watching!

      I am sorry you are having such a terrible time of it. I have a over half of the symptoms from this video and a good chunk of the symptoms listed in the second video in this series so I totally empathize. Perimenopause straight into post menopause can be a rough ride. Wishing you healing. I hope things ease up for you very soon. Hugs.

      Almost all. Except the bleeding. That's gone. No mood swings, bc only one mood: depression because every days seems to birth a new symptom.
      No crying, bc too tired for crying. Endless sleepless nights. Waking up several times a night, exhausted in the morning that comes earlier and earlier.
      Oh, and sleeping apnea. And the damned mask is torture, it feels like not being able to breathe.
      And asthma. And the tablets are in war with the stomach, so you feel nauseous.
      Tired of going to doctors. Doctors not understanding or helping. Back to the beginning: depression.
      51. symptom: unable to start things bc you feel like paralyzed and hopeless.

Would you demand a woman with cancer to fulfill your needs? What’s the difference I am extremely ill and have no help. I did all the homework myself and tried everything natural. No way do we take hormones are body is trying to rid itself of. That’s isn’t healthy either.

    I have had several but they come and go. when one symptom seems to subside....another one pops up 🤦🏻‍♀️ With the fact that pretty much every woman will experience some sort of discomfort ranging from mild to debilitating during peri-menopause, it is astounding to me that we were not taught more about this when we were younger. Thank goodness for TH-cam and channels like yours, that inform women that are searching for answers. Often doctors don't even mention this. Mine always just used to ask if I had palpitations or discomfort during intimate relations. I mean...there is SO SO SOOO much more than that during peri. In fact, ALL of the things you described in the video and even more! Thank you again for your time to make this video and share it with women that are suffering. ❤️

    • @KariAnneWright
      @KariAnneWright  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am glad to hear your symptoms are at least coming and going and not constant. You are right it is astounding that this information was not freely given to all females. It should be as talked about as puberty! I am a member of one of the facebook groups that has over 20 thousand members looking for answers. It is really too bad that I cannot share this TH-cam channel with them without getting booted out of the group. I think it could help them. Many of them are so upset. I am happy you find the videos useful. Btw there are so many more symptoms than I mentioned. Over 100 in fact but I figured listing 100 would have been way too overwhelming! Maybe a part 2 in future?

    • @JenniferCamche
      @JenniferCamche 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@KariAnneWright Yep, peri is puberty in reverse X 150%. Pretty awful stuff. I wonder if you have ever researched a supplement called DIM? I was suffering so bad from crashing fatigue and brain fog and feeling bummed out daily.... that stuff was a major game changer. Within 2-3 days, I am bouncing off the walls again with energy and happiness that I have not felt for so long. I didn't think supplements would work..I suffered needlessly. Perhaps you could research this and make a video about it.????

      I’d like to add that I too, think our culture needs to teach us all about menopause and peri menopause. It’s simply NOT discussed. My mother had ZERO symptoms so I figured I’d be the same. I’m DEBILITATED from my perimenopause. 52 now and it began at 45. Kinda keeps getting worse.😳

      @KariAnneWright  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@heatherfoster9315 Mine began in and around 45 that I noticed although it likely started well before that. I am 50 now and just hit the one year mark without a cycle so hopefully I have reached menopause. Not sure if that will help some of my symptoms. Fingers crossed. It does need to be as widely talked about as puberty. It is part of the reason I started this channel. Thank you for your videos! It's such a relief to know that I'm not experiencing these symptoms alone. I'm so glad I found your channel. I'm 51 and I can recount experiencing many of these symptoms in my mid-forties, completely unaware that I was in perimenopause. I didnt know what was happening to my body and unfortunately my doctor never ever mentioned that my symptoms could be the result of perimenopause.
    I'm experiencing almost all of the symptoms you listed in your video, it's a nightmare some days but at least I now know what's happening to my body because women like you are openly sharing your story. THANK YOU! THANK YOU!🙏🏽

    Thank you for the video, and being straight to the point. I see my wife has half of these symptoms. Our kids (teens) think mom is going crazy. I've shown this video to them, they agree mom has half of the symptom. I have explained to my kids, one being my daughter (the oldest) what women go through. We can be supportive of mom, and understanding, I concluded that educating myself and the kids, will help understand and better support. Kids notice though, she takes it out on me and my middle son. I have asked her to see a doctor, get advice on what to do, understand. She refuses, says I'm a crazy and don't know what I'm talking about.

    • @KariAnneWright
      @KariAnneWright  2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Doctors are often dismissive and little help. Perhaps asking her to see a doctor has made her defensive and feeling that you think somethings wrong with her. Menopause can be a nasty transition and very hard on women. It’s good that you are trying to understand.

      Get to a doctor who is a member of North American menopause Society, NAMS. Get on Hormone Replacement Therapy. Prevent osteoporosis,heart attack and Alzheimer’s. There is nothing natural about out living our ovaries. This has only been occurring for 80 years due to man made advances such as water treatment, antibiotics, surgical advances, increased nutrition. We need to catch up with treating the hormone deficiency in the second half of our life. You wouldn’t suggest living with thyroid hormone deficiency or insulin hormone deficiency (diabetes) would you?

    I had a hysterectomy 6 years ago because of non-stop bleeding but I kept my ovaries so they could die a natural death. I've also had anxiety and depression since early childhood, so those symptoms didn't surprise me as much as I know they do some other women. But the dizziness did scare me to death, and I did wonder about the burning tongue. Good to know, all of this.

      Being declared post-menopsusal doesn't meanq symptoms just go away. Far from the truth. ALL of ANY "peri" or "during" menopause symptoms I experienced just became amplified to the Nth degree about 3 months after I was declared "post" a couple years ago & persist to this day.
