- The extremely powerful quadruple M134 Minigun in action on a shooting range during the Big Sandy Shoot event held annually near Phoenix, Arizona, United States.
The Big Sandy is the largest machine gun shoot in the US.
The M134 Minigun is an American 7.62×51mm NATO six-barrel rotary machine gun with a high rate of fire. It features a Gatling-style rotating barrel assembly with an external power source, normally an electric motor.

Based on the current cost of 308, at about $0.739 a round, having four of those that shoot 6,000 rounds a minute each, that's 24,000 rounds in 1 minute, which is $17,736 roughly

For those who didn't notice, there WAS a target in the NIGHT segment, a neon lighted radio controlled aircraft and he was engaging it. At the end of the clip, he took it out, You hear the cheering when he does!

When we were shooting in the air force it was 1to 9 for tracers. Then nvgs made it 1 to 18 and it still looks like a laser

The GAU 134 is impressive all by itself to put it mildly, at 77 rds per second x 4 thats 400.00 per second to fire this setup! A few years ago a transferable 134 came onto the market I believe its final selling price was around 400K! Now we see 4 of them in one setup, 1.6 million just for the guns and 400.00 per second to fire it, and that old ammo pricing!
Probably didnt cost George that much since his uncle runs the company that makes the M134s for the military

77x4 is 308rps fyi, which whould be about 225$ a second at bulk pricing today. The 134 GAU-17 can fire up to 100 rounds per second (2000-6000rpm)
It's called an M134, the air force name is the GAU-17. There is no GAU-134

Which was my MOS in the Army, as I was titled as a 16-Romeo, there was two types of gun systems, one was a towed vehicle and the other was mounted on a M113 APC, Imagine a quad version of the GAU-35mm rotary cannon system mounted on a M1 Abrams tank chassis? The ultimate Short Range Air Defense vehicle and would turn other armored vehicles into metallic Swiss cheese.
I seem to remember a Tarrant on TV programme showing something similar (pre mini gun era) quad mount gun platform. For the life of me I cannot remember the guns, but by god it was awesome.

I did the arithmetic; $1.30 per round, 6000 rounds per minute per gun, $520 per second. I haven't rewatch the video to see how many seconds it was fired for
Just a rough estimate, it's about 1:30 of actual firing. $520 per second times 90 seconds is roughly $46,800 USD for firing for a minute and a half. Now(lol) multiply that by how many guns of that type in use and how often they are fired. Now I know where my tax dollars go.
