That might be pushing it. I think the real story starts with the Michael Brown shooting the previous fall, so the mob was primed for something to get angry about and Freddy Grey provided that ... sort of ... at first glance. So yeah, they got their wish which is paradoxical because Be'more is a city with a black mayor and a very respected black chief of police so that white racist cop thing sort of breaks down. (and the six cops were three whites and three black, one of whom is a woman: a least "diversity" ain't an issue here) Yeah, this was purely a political move to calm down the mob and unfortunately show they were "on their side" instead of having to be the adults here. Comical how she drops the charges as Nate says hoping no one would notice while keeping up the facade of indignation. The mayor Rawlings also did her thing about giving the mob some space, she claims she meant "peaceful protesters" (Then say "peaceful protesters"!) and critics suggesting she was telling them to go riot. Anyway, what a city. I may make one trip downtown to see the National Aquarium and that's it.

I was on the ground during the riots in a service capacity. Al sharpton showed up to city hall at the barricades the reporter showed, he had his goons with him. One was standing right in front of me trying to rile people up “yeah, they’re out here trying to kill us!” And his eyes would shift back and forth like he was gauging the reaction around him. Sharpton made a baiting speech and left with his people as soon as people started to get agitated. The worst part is there were two black girls next to that agitator kid saying “no, that’s not true, this is ridiculous, stop.”
    Felt so bad for them.

Not to mention the court of only popular opinion in Israel right now too which is not free by the way. As if demilitarizing Israel while militarizing only part of it since the late 1940's at the same time while continuing to run a smear campaign against the current leader (Netanyahu next) and all of the Orthodox Rabbis there in Israel too who prefer to only command toy soldiers is behaving like the sane person hero instead. All roles with power involve corruption to some level. It is impossible to have systems of centralised power that have zero corruption. It's just human nature otherwise. You can have the best people in these positions, and they will still end up corrupt. Such is the outcome of power. What is important is to ensure the level or scale of corruption doesn't get too high.
That isn't actually that difficult to do, and it doesn't rely solely on impartial third parties. Instead, these are elected positions we're talking about. Just through having a vibrant, engaged voting public does corruption stay under control. When voters aren't engaged, aren't paying attention, aren't voting based on platform but some other factor such that corruption is not punished with removal from office, then it thrives and becomes blatant. All that needs to happen to solve the corruption issue is that voters need to listen to the platforms of the individual candidates and elect based solely on those and no other factor.

In 2014, she campaigned as a tough on crime prosecutor, saying the current State's Attorney wasn't tough enough on the criminals, and 2. My family is Hispanic on one side and Irish on the other. Both were slaves and victims of oppression and persecution but that was long ago before I was alive. It has nothing to do with me other than notes in history.

Had to go a long way to find justice done right, in this Country, and found it in Baltimore, Maryland of all places. If big Fani Willis, of Atlanta, Georgia, receives the same justice, loses her law license, and goes to jail along with Nathan Wade, then I will believe there is still a glimmer of hope for real justice in this Country. We still have a long way to go, but this is a start.

Clearly you haven't heard of the mayor-turned-dictator in Texas(?). All of these other people could go free as long as they lock that criminal up for the rest of her life.

It’s not about what’s right or wrong or even what you can prove anymore. It’s about how many people you can influence. Which is such a shame, because good people of all races are being hurt. The U.S. is a melting pot of people where EVERYONE no matter of race, religion, culture, ideas, histories, and beliefs can come together to benefit our society. But unfortunately in my 30+ years of life, I’ve never seen us this divided before and it’s heartbreaking.
