I was catching whitefish a couple days ago, 3 feet down over 26 feet of water, I literally had one swim half way up my hole after the jig.

I also have a place in door county, in the past I have fished out of George K Pinney park in Sturgeon Bay for whitefish

That is tough. I wouldn’t know what to recommend since I don’t know what body of water you are referring to and would need more time it’s good source.
In minnesota you can have three hooks of a total of 8 inches from the first to the last otherwise you will get a ticket for this 12" apart setup.
