So, tuning is BEAD on a 4 string. Most seem to play the A string which would be tuned to E instead of just playing the E string. You play the E string instead of the fat B string. So, why use a 5 string? Curious & confused. I only have a 4 string but I’m thinking I’ll just play most of it on the E instead of tuning the A to an E - wouldn’t that be easier? Thanks
Yes, you are absolutely right that most people play it tuned to a 4-string BEAD, just like Peter Steele played it, but I have a 5-string bass so why not use it? and I play the fat B string from minute 6:13 or what do you mean?
