Everyone hyping up Paganini but... Goodness, the skill required to perform this concerto, and all of it by memory, including the cadenza is just unfathomable. Shout out to Papavrami. Absolutely astonishing. That crowd better have stood after the camera stopped rolling.

Papavrami is a masterful artist. I love that little phrase beginning at 6:11 - nobody does it better. Truly sublime....

you can look away or close your eyes if the camera work is that distracting. the beauty of the music is in the sound not the visuals anyways

Liszt just made the piano versions
@-[ Orcinus_YT ]- you literally asked. dont act affronted that he answered your question. and liszt does deserve credit because 90% of modern listeners know about this piece only because of liszt, he popularized it for future generations. (and arranging is NOT an easy task, especially when trying to keep the beauty of the original version).

I think this performance is the best ever than those which can be found in TH-cam. Especially 2nd mov.
How can I mimic his unique sound?? I really love it. When he play E string, it sounds very interesting. It doesn't sound clear because some kind of... sharp sound is mixed. But it makes very very unique sound... I want to play like him.

i think playing whole concerto would be harder than the piano piece because concertos longer so you need good endurance + its violin
