    I love it. Cold wax is such a wonderful medium. I’m learning and knowing how important it is for the under texture and movement. 🌺💜

    I’ve been along with you on this beautiful journey! I love and am glued t9 every step of the way in all 3 videos.
    I watch ALL your videos....I love every thing that you do. I’m confused about cold wax. All I think I’ve seen in these 3 videos is just painting with the bowl scrapper. I see different things in any of your cold wax videos. Could you please tell me what COLD WAX is? Is it a type of paint...a technique. I have seen you do transfers with tissue like paper and I have seen you apply a white type paste on the paper with your hands. Love it all but don’t understand COLD WAX. Thank you LINDA. Love love your work!!❤️🎨

      Cold wax is soft beeswax...it’s a medium that you add to oil paint or dry pigment. It’s become my favorite way to paint. I suggest a workshop to learn the many techniques. 😃

    Dear Linda, thank you for all your wonderful videos- your work is just so wonderful! I can only paint when I have the time off work, but my dream is to one day be able to do it full time. May I ask- do you manage to live from your art?

      Mikush, I didn’t start painting till I was 57 so there is plenty of time. Paint when you can. Even is you only rake 30 minutes each day, you will continue to get better. I do very well with the sales of my paintings. Thanks for your comment.

    Love your painting Linda. I just found you and don't know anything about this art. It is Beautiful. But, I guess it can not be done with acrylics and cold wax? Just wondering, since I never painted with Oil.

      Dalia...cold wax and acrylic do not mix...not compatible at all! 😢

    Great Talent what must you do to prepare it to sell?
    Will you Seal it or varnish it so that it does not change with temperatures?
    I wouldn’t want it to melt or change the artistic quality, completely dry and sealed one delivered.

    • @LindaBentonMcCloskey
      @LindaBentonMcCloskey  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You don’t have to seal it. Sometimes I put a clear coat of cold wax on top, but it’s not necessary.

    I have been using water soluble oils recently. I guess the cold wax would not be good with that?

    • @LindaBentonMcCloskey
      @LindaBentonMcCloskey  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes...you absolutely can use water soluble oils! Enjoy! 😀
