    so beautiful Erica! I am learning so much from you guys... I used to be a jewelry designer and I worked with a lot of beautiful laborite... and the purest had NO black lines... i liked it better without the lines... just me.... love your work all and all though....

    Hello Erica that was awesome.....
    Absolutely amazing.
    But l want to ask that after these years that went by after you created it ,has it faded or paled or become yellowish.
    How long do resin products retain their original look

  • @blustar30

    Labradorite is one of my favorite stones. I like how you did the various layers and the colors. Adding the darker colors really popped it. Can't wait to see the next one you do. Awesome, thanks Erika 😊

      I love this so so so much! It is so incredibly beautiful and I love love love how creative you got with it adding spray paint and dispersing it with the spray! It gave it such amazing depth. I could go on for days about how amazing this is!

    I made a side table a couple of years ago similar to this look. But I used the holographic silver wrapping paper. I think I might try combining the silver holo with the cellophane the next time. Thanks for the inspiration

    Wonderful piece of art! May I ask, are you working on canvas or wood? If canvas, how do you manage to get the resin perfect?

    • @ArtistTillDeath
      @ArtistTillDeath  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey there Dora! I’m using a cradle board from artisttilldeath.com. It wont shift like it would on canvas since it won’t dip in the middle 🤗🤗

    • @ArtistTillDeath

  • @ellenbeck312

    This is gorgeous as it is, but what if you took this one step further and added a layer of black and silver overspray with the big alcohol drips similar to what Rhonda uses in her black quartz tutorial? I think that might make it look like lemurian blue granite?? I’d love to see how something like that would turn out!

    This is absolutely beautiful!!! Did you use 2 different colors of the iridescent paper or was the light just hitting it creating a different shade ?

  • @ccgsales
    @ccgsales 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    What is the brand, and where did you get the holographic plastic? I found iridescent cellophane at Hobby Lobby, but it is not nearly as dark and color shifting.

  • @arleenaartvark1141
    @arleenaartvark1141 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    This is perfect Erika. No don’t go darker. In fact, where did those large brown areas that Rhonda added go? Now I just see thick brown lines. It looks much better. Did she draw through the brown?

  • @amorin329
    @amorin329 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Those dichroic strips of plastic over a black background covered with clear or very transparent colored resin should make an amazing faux black opal looking piece......at least that's what happened when I made cabauchons with black resin as a background, dichroic plastic pieces cut up sprinkled onto that, and covered with clear resin on too.

    So pretty! I was looking at some of the stones and I was wondering has anyone tried this with crackle medium as one of the steps. At first glance this one reminded me of a forest!

  • @morbidvampire3199
    @morbidvampire3199 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Wow! Just WOW! I absolutely love this! It's stunning and now I must prepare to try something like this myself.
    A question if I may--anything you added to the piece in the various layers, were they always combined with resin every time? Were the tints and paints and sprays you used all combined with resin? Or like for example the black paint for the lines--was that just paint by itself or paint mixed with resin? What about the mica/alcohol spray--with resin or on its own?
    Can't wait to see what else you will do!!
