I thought there was going to be a view From baughman rocks, but it was just a view Of rocks, lol . Interesting topographic map from the viewing platform. Funny storry about your date and having to grow back into the wind. I agree the view of the lake looked pretty nice. Happy 4th of July guys!
I actually liked Baughman rocks quite a bit, but it wasn’t at all what I expected. Happy 4th to you as well, we got out and did some hiking today with my parents on the Standing Stone Trail, so it was a good day! Always nice to get out in the woods with family!
My parents live near Rockwood, I drove my ATV through the state forest to that (hell I drove all over those mountains) overlook in the 80's. I found a god damn Werewolf colony near there near some body of water. They didn't have electricity or phones! I got the hell out of there. One time, a tornado hit and we took shelter in the basement. It went down the other side of the mountain and hit Salsbury. I drove threw the forest afterwards, it was like 2 football fields wide path of knocked down forest. Unreal.
Site 173 is our favorite site. Didn’t make it there in 2023 but was there 3x in ‘21-‘22.

Mines in my garage, but birds still get in and poop all over it… and my truck…
@@mountainsintomemories Fake Owl from Tractor Supply worked pretty good. I sat it on top of the camper. The birds hated it and stayed away.
I’m going to have to try that for the truck and for my garden. Might keep other animals from getting my vegetables.

I wash and clean my truck 2 or more times a week.
I wish I had the time for that. I’m lucky if I get it cleaned every other week, then my car gets done the other weeks.
I wash trailer and truck mainly the truck though.
