Urban overhaul looks really good, this along with enhanced Vegas ruined would give some nice fallout 1 vibes.
What
I also used Welcome to the Strip. It’s really, *really* demanding performance-wise and takes a lot of setup and a monster of a computer to run, but following the instructions on the mod page, I didn’t have any issues with it apart from that. Hasn’t crashed on me once.
Since it pretty much combines the best parts of all the other best strip mods (and also looks *incredible* with NVR, Lumen, Afterglow and proper shaders), I think coupled with some mods to breathe more life into Westside, Freeside, and the Vegas ruins, it really sells the idea of Vegas being this sprawling, vibrant living city the way it felt like it was always implied to be by the characters, the concept art and the lore. I know it’s pretty much just a mashup of VICE and Lightbright with cinematic lighting, but goddamn, Welcome to the Strip is my favorite. It also plays nice and goes great with other added touches that make the strip even more impressive, like Lucky 38 Remastered, Luxe Aeterna, Better Strip View and Ultra-Luxe Fountain Expanded.
Something really cool to me about the added buildings from Lightbright is that several of them that there are signs for, like Gold Nugget and The Sahara, are real Las Vegas casinos that served as inspiration for locations in New Vegas- The Sahara and Gold Nugget actually serving as the inspiration for The Gomorrah and Silver Rush, respectively.

LightBright is a personnel favorite of mine, used with lumen it makes for a really amazing strip.

Hey, I made the fabulous new Vegas strip mod years ago, it remains mostly unfinished. It started as just a project I was goofing around with. The concept was to add more themed casinos to the strip, overhaul some of the more baron areas, add more interiors and you’d be able to pull off casino heists. I do wish I was able to complete it however I had almost no experience with scripting. Also moving the atomic wrangler to the strip was not my best move with that one lol

VICE and Welcome To The Strip are the best IMO. I don't have any performance issues with either. Welcome To The Strip is just a merged patch of VICE and Litebright, so maybe you didn't have VICE, Litebright, or the patches setup correctly which is why it was causing issues for you.

@@skylerwilson5378 Its cool yeah however its very intensive, plus for me I had a very weird issue where Id run halfway down the road in the strip and my fps would dip to 1 fps and stay there. Removing dxvk fixed it but I'll never know what or why it happened.

@@skylerwilson5378 It's probably just a mistake on my end as Im running over 650 mods so don't let it stop you from trying out the mod, I just thought it was worth mentioning. If you run into the same issue with dxvk in the welcome to strip mod then let me know please c: have a good one buddy.

It would seem you forgot New Vegas Restoration(NVR) and its sister mod that also improves Freedide, NVFR
What does it do
@@andryuu_2000 removes the trash to make it cleaner, repairs the buildings, and makes the strip feel more alive. There’s also a sub-mod that adds an exact Sierra Madre replica in the southern part of the strip

You only need open strip like mod, everything else is too much
i just use simple open strip
@@TheCapitalWanderer Does that work ok? I've heard the open Strip mods crash all the time and have frame rate issues. But it would be great to get rid of loading zones.
@@pitchforker3304 nah, simple open strip is open strip but heavily optimized so it is guaranteed to run well, even on a low end pc. throughout all of my playthroughs none of them ever crashed and all quest works fine.

by the looks of it, none, i instead use westside suburbs uncut, detailed new vegas westside, freeside facelift, strip lighting corrections and VICE - Visuals Improved Content Expanded but not the one in the nexus, i must have use a earlier version that i think the creator removed and remade it. I should update it.
The new ones great but I only use the version that touches the wasteland, not the strip. That alongside New Vegas Landscapes is great and both have been updated this month.

@@manny7289 Yep, it's pretty easy to tell (at least to my ear) because of the artificial echo that's added and the fuzziness + random intonation and volume jumps that are unnatural for an actual human voice

When are you getting rid of the ai voice
I really don't know. The circumstances haven't improved a bit. It's still noisy all the time and the room I used to record in is so hot it's almost impossible to stay there during daytime. I just don't wanna do the same thing as February so if I start using my own voice next time then I gotta be sure that everything works out.
