RandalfElVikingo Blame Disney. They are being petty over Fox having the Movie rights and won't do anything with the characters as to nit give Fox the publicity.
instead of spending time creating a lame Story mode why didn`t they use that time to make proper cinematic character endings? would have been way more entertaining than the mediocre fest that was this game`s story mode.
I think Capcom tried to make the best they could. No X-Men? Marvel is to blame. No Doom? Marvel. Bland art style, matching to Marvel movies? Of course, Marvel. OST composed of grandiloquent and generic themes? Marvel. Capcom was forced by Disney to make as they said, or there'd be no new MvC at all forever. And they wanted to make it, since people asked so much... When the first trailer hit me, Marvel was ringing my head. If this game sucks at presentation, Marvel is to blame, not Capcom. But the DLC strategy? Yea, that Cashcom all over the place.
And why didn’t Capcom say to Disney something else, “Hey, Disney, there’s a 99% we could be wrong, but we think-now, just hear us out-we think that not including the X-Men (who have been there from the start of Marvel vs. Capcom) might…JUST MIGHT…be a bad idea and cause the game to flop…SEVERELY.”?
Emperor Zerbo unfortunately it seems fighting games are made for pros by pros these days and they consider casual players expandable since fans will buy anyway
gameplay and mechanics should never be ignored. Looking at good presentation and visuals as well as music is a must as well, but all of that would just be icing if the base game is repetitive or slow or just unoriginal. A game needs both but in an imperfect world, gameplay should take precedence.
No argument about the gameplay being more important, but I feel like that argument would apply more to an indie game or by a smaller company. This is Capcom we're talking about, teaming up with Marvel. They've done great things in the past both with this series in particular and with all of the IPs represented in this series. They have the resources and the know-how to do better when it comes to their presentation, but this time they've fallen short for unknown reasons. For example, one of my favorite things about Capcom games is the music. Usually there's at least a handful of tracks in each game that can be listened to as stand-alone jams while you're doing other things. MVC3 had that, it made you FEEL when it was Dante's turn to jump in. As soon as you heard that guitar and lyrics, you were like "Oh yeah, Dante's about to fuck up yo' shit." Here, it's relatively bland in comparison, with the themes presented as sort of a "Well we had theme music in the last game, so I guess we gotta do it now, too." Yeah presentation should be secondary, but polish is important. This game is about hype, both professionally and casually. I just don't see the hype presented here.
Tyler Cafe i cannot even count the amout of players i have come across that couldnt even do a basic combo that spammed reality stone smh. im so glad capt marvel can armor thru it :)
Rigs It's not hard to get around it just annoying especially with voice clips. Personally I think they shouldn't say it "reality stone" unless you're using its max power. But besides all that lots of people hate spamming period.
From what we can see here the review for dbz will be 14/10. He gave a 9-10 to 2 categories while giving 6s to like everything else sound story roster graphic and im probably misssing some and yet the average is an 8 lmao. Im no math teacher but the score should be at most a 7.
He thought the gameplay was a 7 at first because it's pretty simple, but he grew to like it because how fun he was. I think he was rating it a 8.5-9 at the end.
A sane score should be weighted. If a game gets 10 in graphics, 10 in sound, 8 in netcode, and 4 in gameplay, that game should not be rated an 8. A game that is a 4 in gameplay is worthless; a game that is a 10 in gameplay is good.
redvenomweb I mean, FighterZ isn't a 4 in gameplay by any stretch if that's what you're implying (If youre not then my bad). Imo MvCi gameplay is better (Like how max says, dbfz is a 9 and mvci is a 10 gameplay wise), it's just that the presentation overshadows a lot of the deeper things that people won't get the chance to experience
man just thinking about sick this game couldve been with a beautiful roster. Mvc2 returning characters or new characters daredevil, punisher, black bolt moon knight + best gameplay = hit but no capcom strikes again
Is Capcom banking on future upgrades + DLCs that are gonna make the game great. It's like those 2 years projects that they always do, after the initial release. And then they would sell the upgrade version called, MvC Infinite Zero Ultimate edition.
This doesnt feel like a $60 game, personally. Feels rushed, and saved all the new characters as DLC. I'll wait till a $20-$40 price drop, or Ultimate version.
Well said, Max. Everyone is critiquing the game in one aspect or another but you have pretty much gone over absolutely every aspect of this game, whether it’s good or bad. Even though I’m not playing this game because of my personal gripes, you have reassured me of the fun gameplay and how the game fixes broken mechanics from marvel 3. Great review
I gave the game an honest attempt, I spent hours practicing with Chun-Li, Gamora, X, Doctor Strange, Ghost Rider, and Captain Marvel. I loved playing Chun-Li, she was very fun. However, nothing ever felt like the characters meshed well together, the game relies so heavily on a decently synergized team that picking sub-par teammates actually feels like a hindrance. Add to that problem that all my friends immediately discovered and realized that Reality Stone is an oppressive and borderline "broken" tool you can abuse on any character and our friendly couch matches devolved into arguing over the fact that no one cared to learn how to play anymore because Reality Stone was just too good. Online (at least for PS4) is plagued with Reality Stone ranged keepaway shenanigans and not only that it takes as long as 5-10 minutes to find matches sometimes because it seems that no one is playing. I had a few fun matches, but most of the time, I just wondered why I wasn't playing something else because I wasn't having the fun I expected and nothing in the game really clicked with me. Ugly game, poor story, problematic stone, and very little community. I rented the game, kept it for 4 days, and returned it after about 20 hours of play because I was not enjoying it. I'm sorry but compared to what DBFZ is putting on the table, this game just isn't worth the time or money. It's a 5/10 - 6.5/10 at best. I respect that you love it, Max, and whoever else that reads this. However, I will give it another chance when the inevitable Super/Ultra/Ultimate/Hyper/Turbo/Whatever version comes out... because right now it feels like playing a glorified beta (knowing that there are a ton of DLC characters, all of them being new additions to the franchise except 1...)
While I agree with a few things the longest I ever had to wait for a game was just over a minute... and I even picked 5 connection only....so sounds like that could be on your part.
I understand your reality stone frustration. I was running through my friends with hulk and ghost rider with power stone. Now my friends are pissed so they all switched to the damn reality stone. Now its just i have to play more agressively.
ThndrMge You gave Capcom your money you lost already. That you like the game or not Capcom doesnt care , you bought it. Whos the idiot now ? Capcom for making a half assed game or the people like you who knew how bad the game was and still bought it ? Capcom got your money to them you liked it and even more when you will buy the dlcs.... Gamers are dumb af nowadays.
It's sad, bc i really just don't think this game was made with care. It's as if no one working on it likes Marvel or capcom. And that unenthusiastic feel shows itself within the game, hell even in the voices of the characters
They butchered everything about Dante in this game, sure he was never the most complex character, but they made him so fucking cringe in the story mode, his character model looks awful and even his theme is probably one of the worst in this game, which is quite a feat. I kinda want Vergil to not be in this game if they're gonna screw him just like they did Dante
All I want outta a (potential) UMvCi is better models, X-men characters and a few more capcom characters. Character Wishlist: Wolverine Gambit Magneto Rogue Storm Phoenix Iron Fist Vergil Amaterasu Tron Bonne Trish Akuma M. Bison
I actually only looked at 3's roster for the Capcom Characters, I looked at 1 and 2 for the X-Men characters and some of the Capcom characters. And ya, besides the X-man characters and Vergil I'd want new characters, but I picked the characters specifically because they were in previous Vs. games so they'd be the most likely candidates.
Michael Scally Here's the thing though, graphics and presentation can be heavily overhauled without any negative effects over time. However, core gameplay is something that can't be changed without screwing up the system that's already been layed out. Infinites core gameplay is phenomenal, it just needs patches to fix the presentation and it'll be best seller.
The DLC business practice makes this game unable to be purchased by me. I can't in good conscious support the game that's doing as blatant Day 1 DLC for full price as this. If you have it, fine, that's your choice. But it's not getting my money.
JELIFISH19 I think he's referring to the fact they were advertising DLC characters before the game even launched, one of them being half of the main antagonist
Old Capcom : Hey lets add Samonuske, falcon and asura on the dlc list i think thats a good idea! New Capcom: LOL! Who do you think you are! were adding jane foster as thor and that's it.
Nothing at all....other than the fact that we would have to pay extra for it as opposed to it being an alternate skin that should have been available on /launch/.
Thank you for the Review, Max!!! It's refreshing to see a game focus so heavily on what matters and not try to put some packaged dribble on a silver platter to simply make it SEEM more appealing. I'm a mechanics-fanatic and pvp'er at heart, so to me emphasis on netplay and multiplayer concepts are a huge win for any style of game.
Considering the poor sales, I don't think a "ultimate" version will ever be released. But Street vs Tekken had plenty of "expansions", so who knows, maybe Capcom will milk this crap.
The core gameplay showcased some of those biggest flaws though. Competitive gameplay of SFxT was a ridiculous glitch showcase. SFxT is no where near "solid".
I feel like after watching the Monster Hunter Worlds trailer and how pretty and fucking ridiculous that game looks, I understand WHY MVCi looks like ass. Their entire budget went into MH.
thehaxfactory no, I'm willing to wait until they add all the dlc to the damn disc, and even then, if the X-Men (as well as other *glaring* omissions) aren't back, then fuck this game.
One of the many reasons I subscribed to Max was because of his brutal honesty. As many fighting games as he plays, for him to say this is his favorite capcom fighting game since CVSNK2 speaks volumes. I wasn’t gonna get this game at first but since it’s the video game version of a “butterface” I’m definitely gonna get it now
This game just looks soulless. There's no passion or love, and that's reflected in everything save the gameplay. From the developers' feelings/comments ("characters are just functions"), to the boring as hell, bare bones UI, to the sloppy graphics, to the trashy music, to the shit animations, to the limited roster; everything is half-assed, minimal effort bullshit, and it's such a colossal turn-off. No meme intended, this game is all function and no form, and unfortunately, having just one of those things - even if it's done perfectly (as is the case with MvCI having amazing 'function' in how it plays) - is never enough for a game to be good imo.
This game is fucking incredible in the mechanics, watching it live and seeing Twitch chat go hype over the crazy shit is a great sign and man is it intense. However, with Capcom's decision on how they are going to be running the game (full $60 price for a meh roster with DLC already on the way for "new" and "cool" characters) I just refuse to buy it right now.
Calleihal nwn2 This. I can live with bad graphics and story and all that. But i absolutly hate being scammed and i still have a VERY sour taste in my mouth from SFV.
@Maximilian Dood This game is essentially Marvel (Cinematic Universe) vs. Capcom: Infinite. They should do what they did with KOF XIV and patch this game's graphics in-game and for cut scenes to improve it. I think improving these issues and adding in legacy characters might be all they need to do to pique the interest of more people.
How about Jin Saotome, Captain Commando, Vergil, Akuma, Amaterasu, Viewtiful Joe, Deadpool, Hayato Kanzaki as returning characters. X-MEN, and new additions of Samanosuke(Onimusha), Shade(Cyberbots), Asura(Asura's Wrath), John Talbain(Darkstalkers), Gene(Godhand),Leon Kennedy(Resident Evil series), and more.
Some of the story elements introduced in Infinity could be interesting if they decide to continue the story. Ryu teaching Hulk control is very interesting, I could definitely stand to see Hulk adopting the Ansastsuken school of martial arts into his moveset. Gamma Hadouken? And Thanos incorporating the Satsui no Hadou into himself could begin a rivalry between him and Akuma, two massive dudes amping up the dark impulses to become stronger and stronger.
spider man used to look skinny and muscled so his acrobatics feel realistic enough but after they made him look like chris with a spiderman suit its just shit plus the story is an absolute cringe fest other than that the fighting is kinda nice
its like watching businessmen dressed as toys and pretending they are the toys, they will play their role but sometimes its like they never talked to real people
I know it's been said time and time again, but the game's biggest issue is that it just utterly reeks of laziness. The graphics, most of the voice acting, sound design, music, presentation, questionable roster, story mode, keeping new characters behind DLC paywalls (including half of the fucking antagonist), etc. Literally EVERYTHING besides the gameplay feels completely half-assed. It's all average at best, and soul-crushingly terrible at worst. And then you look at how much they improved with the gameplay from UMVC3, and your jaw drops. No X-Factor. No "get hit by so much as a fucking light attack and you're probably losing a character" bullshit. Harsh damage scaling, which encourages clever resets, rather than TOD combos. I could go on. I think the thing that confuses me the most is the voice acting. There are a ton of amazing talents behind the mics for this game, but almost all of them are either wasted with either one-dimensional dialogue, or horrible, HORRIBLE voice direction. Like seriously, were they afraid to have characters sound excited in this game? At the end of the day, if they had put as much thought and effort into the rest of the game as they did with fine-tuning the gameplay experience, not only would this be the best installment in the series, it would probably be one of the greatest fighting games ever, period. But no, they had to rush out another fighting game. Again. Because at Capcom, you aren't allowed to look back on your mistakes. Because at Capcom, your skull has to be thicker than Morrigan's sweet, succulent booty to be allowed employment. Can you tell I'm disappointed yet?
Worded perfectly..audio is just as important and the va and themes actually detract from the fun. I really wanna buy the game as a huge capcom fighter fan, but the laziness and greedy dlc practices is so apparent and infuriating cause I can't bring myself to buy the game.
Which is why I'm not paying jack shit for this game until it is dirt cheap with all DLC included (cause let's be honest, we all know there's gonna be a super duper deluxe extra awesome ultimate edition of the game, it's capcom after all lol)
There are always people that don't like stuff, and always people that do. People hate on SFxT but there are plenty that like it also. Same goes for everything.
It's the best fighter for HIM. If he enjoys the gameplay more than any other game, then sure. It's not the best overall package, but from his perspective, if the gameplay is godlike. It can certainly be one of the best fighters. Maybe if the presentation and artwork wasn't so lame, people might agree. But unfortunately, nobody will care, because of the art design.
So glad I listened to Max. The gameplay really is fantastic and even though I am pissed off like everyone else the X-Men are nowhere to be seen ... Morrigan lives! RIP Darkstalkers
UltimateBob the films don't but the license holders do. Anything that x-men gets paid with involving any media like books or comics or games, Fox will get some money from that. Disney wants to own x-men and fox will not sell. So Disney has stopped marvel from making fantastic four and x men comics with the exception of popular characters. Look it up
If that were the issue, and it isn't, then why do the Marvel mobile games (which make tons of money) have the X-Men in them? It's not a movie issue, it's a Capcom can sell more popular characters like Wolverine as DLC later and make more money then they would trying to sell Frank West DLC. Give it time, 2018 DLC for this game should be very interesting.
I'll hold off buying this game. I respect Max's opinions on it but it offends my eyes far to much. Dante was my favourite character in umvc3...need I say more...
so in other words, MVCI has good gameplay but is bogged down by its poor presentation and scummy DLC practices followed by a butchered roster. might pick up when it like 25-30 bucks at the most, its just hard to justify paying the full 60 dollar price tag in its current state.
I hear ya the 6 announced characters have me going.... meh. Venom is cool and i am waiting on how black panther and sigma play. I need to see what else capcom has in store before i shell out anything for the game
Sometimes, I don't agree with Max. But in this case, I nearly 100% agree with him. We can cue the callouts of Shills on this one. But I haven't had that much fun with this gameplay in a MVC game in a while because of a BS mechanic. Example: from MVC2"s God Tier characters, and One Touch deaths in MVC3. I can't see how people don't see the flaws in the old games, it's like Melee all over again.
Watching Max's videos for about 5 years now and knowing his passion for Capcom fighting games, its hard to not take his words genuinely. I've been hearing alot about MvCi and im still unsure if i want to buy it. I trust your opinion Max, but not quite sold.
I doubt that Ultron Sigma is going to be on-disc DLC, but Capcom's definitely cutting off content with Monster Hunter and probably plenty of other DLC characters because Monster Hunter was just straight-up done and being shown off in trailers and movelist demonstrations the day after the game's release.
Psyco6 Even with that probably being true, saying you have 6 DLC characters coming out in the next 3 months makes me wonder why you didn't delay the game 3 months to give us an extra 1/5th of the roster.
There is a simple solution to getting the best experience from this game: just wait. The core is fine, just like SFV was, but the game is rushed in all other aspects, the roster being the biggest problem. Wait for a complete version of the game for a more reasonable price/more complete experience (modes and characters). There are plenty of varied FGs on the market and most have a better package than this one.
Pretty good and extended review. All those that called you a sellout for not shitting on this game can eat their hearts out. Being honest like this is the best way to do a review.
Or the bland dialogue... Or the bland story... Or the lack of arcade endings... Or the infinity stones being a gameplay sinkhole that literally serves to make things horrible to play... Or the lack of everything that made the ones before it memorable
This is quite likely the most informative and fair review I've ever seen. I appreciate how you go over any positive and negative sides of it all but then still judge the core gameplay and mechanics for as they are looking past the aspects. Very appreciated and I think I have a much better opinion of this game now
The game is fun. I like the fighting engine for sure, but yes, I agree about the character roster. Maybe the next iteration will have 20 more characters we wants (let's hope). Now the story mode... Capcom, I will go back to my old comment in one of your videos. If they didn't add the storymode and just made an awesome arcade mode with the story built in to each character (prologue, opposite brand rival fights (2 or more for each), and a long and good enough ending (all of which could just be animated via cartoon)... I think that would satisfy most users. The story mode most won't play again, so it is almost a wasted effort which could have been used to focus on other aspects. This is the same problem with SF V... I hope Capcom realizes Arcade Mode > Story Mode (at least for me anyway) Too bad really, but yeah, I am glad I got the game. It is fun. I hope the next batch of DLC are characters we never had in MVC3 or some returning from other Marvel games we haven't seen for a while (Gambit... *cough*).
Dude, you read my mind! Story Mode is ok-ish, but what people love is a regular Arcade Mode with Story Mode-style cutscenes for 2-3 certain fights, similar to Tekken 5 or Soul Calibur 3. THAT'S what I want. Leave the Story Mode to the professionals AKA NetherRealm Studios
Yeah, but they kind of did it with MVC3, the last character to beat the game gets their ending. My idea for prologue is to show both characters at the beginning, the rival battle is random for whichever character (2 or more for each like SSF IV), I think it will also add to the replay. It may take less time than the actual story mode they did I am happy the game will get dlc, for sure
This game looks worse in person. I don't know how this game got high scores from everyone, it's like a combination of nostalgia and not wanting to anger Capcom and the reports scene. Dragon Ball FighterZ raised the standards greatly and it's not even out yet. I think Capcom rushed this game because of competition from Dragonball FighterZ and BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle and to get another game in esports.
...How would capcom know to rush the game in order to come out before all of those games? The release date for marvel vs capcom infinite was announced WAY BEFORE BOTH OF THOSE WERE EVEN ANNOUNCED TO BE IN EXISTENCE Like come on they clearly did a terrible rush job, but don't blame it on games that CAPCOM had no knowledge of
Meh. DBFZ looks okay. Trunks, Yamicha, and Android 18 look the most interesting out of everyone to me. Then again, it's just me kinda being bias since I don't really like Dragon Ball. I feel like it's way too hype, and I just don't get it. Blazblue Cross Tag Battle on the other hand I'll give you. That game looks great.
Why Capcom insists on copying MK story mode? Why can't we have an arcade mode with multiple endings depending on which characters you choose?? Remember when you finished Xmen vs SF and after beating the final boss both of your characters face each other in order to see wich ending you'll get? Oh those were the good old days... :(
This is basically KOF XIV all over again. Excellent gameplay but poor visuals and presentation. Only difference is KOF XIV didn't have any white knights defending the game from criticism and calling anyone who voiced a negative opinion haters. Because God forbid we criticize Capcom.
Kof XIV is a product from a nearly dead company that has the balls to make a new game. The same company didn't abandon the so loved 2D staple until the very end. It's not a fair comparison.
Maybe the "White Knights wouldnt come to Capcom's defense, if bandwagon hate dorks, didn't crucify Capcom for doing something, but then give everyone else a pass..... almost EVERYONE selling DLC characters with Deluxe and Collectors editions, but noooooope, let's just bitch at Capcom all day about it.... who cares if Injustice 1 released a DLC character 3 weeks after hitting the shelves. Deep down in my heart I TOTES know NRS ONLY started making that character AFTER the game went on sale, and made the model, made all the moves, and balanced Lobo all in 3 weeks, and released it the second they were done!!!!! -_- Do you want white knight? Because that is how you get white knights.....
you keep saying that Ultron Omega is a reference to MMX4 last boss, but realy is a reference to MMX5 last boss, you know, Omega Sigma!!!!!! even the blue floating arms are there!!
Sorry but this game us just a no go. Capcom really hasn't been working out lately, and if I gotta pick a fighting game I'll stick with Tekken 7 and Injustice 2.
Shanks so you pick games with great graphics and presentation and also have paid DLC but have horrible gameplay... (Injustice 2 like 1 is pick the best zoning character and win) and Tekken with it's unrefined gameplay. Gameplay > Graphics
Andrew Wiebe Marvel Infinite has payed Dlc as well lest you forget ghe costumes and season pass they are selling. Zoning is only a problem if you dont know how to get sround it and there are plenty of ways to do that. And Tekken being unrefined? Pretty sure the juggles, the spacing mind games, and the combos say otherwise.
well, injustice 2 was boring as shit, I played it for maybe 5 hours, wish I could refound it. But i'm liking MvCi a lot more, I really don't care about games being ugly, I still play old games to this day lmao
Giovani Andrey Trust me Im there with you. Still bust out my psp and Ps2. Kinda funny when ya look back at how some games are sooo much better then what we get now a days.
So MVSC:Infinite went in at 11th place in the UK charts , can't help but think it would of sold better if the game was handled better. I love the series but only getting 5 new characters at launch , no Arcade endings for the gallery , barely any newcomers , isn't really going to wow the fans , Forcing the game to use the MCU has also hurt the games roster and graphic style , The game play is top notch and super fun , but with hardly any new characters or fan favorites from UMVSC3 like , Jill , Wesker , Trish , Amaterasu , Viewtiful Joe , Phoenix Wright , Felicia , Hsien Ko , Seems really stupid to remove Amaterasu and then announce OKAMI HD ...... CAPCOM have this trouble of not wanting to listen to the fans , So many amazing characters have been requested like Nina from Breath Of Fire , Regina from Dino Crisis , Captain Commando , Jin from Cyberbots , Hayato from Star Gladiator , Ruby Heart from MVSC2 , Asura from Asuras Wrath , Gene from God Hand , Batsu and Akira from Rival Schools , Fiona & Hewie from Haunting Ground , BB Hood and Jon Talbain from Darkstalkers , Edward Falcon and Rouge from Power Stone , Tessa from Warzard/Red Earth , Who ever was in charge of the roster needs to be told they did a poor job. We all know the game was released early just like SFV was for the Tournament scene and we all know how well that went down. It's taken a good long time for SFV to build up it's roster so it looks like we will have to wait a good 2 or 3 years for a full Roster.
Does Capcom deserve a ton of money from paying consumers for this game? Not really, the presentation and other things leave a ton to be desired especially for a full-price $60 game. Almost feel like an indie game at times. Do I enjoy the game and have a blast playing it? Yes. I hope Capcom can do some sort of patch to make the backgrounds more lively and have some cool fonts and stuff, just make it more hype. But at the end of the day, I have fun. I don't blame people for waiting for a sale though. A lot of things are underwhelming.
True, I don't regret my purchase, but that doesn't mean I'd recommend it full price! That being said, whenever it goes on sale with the season pass then yeah go for it. PC or PS4 or XBOX. Yeah PC pop is "low", but still higher that a lot of fighting games and we have no idea how many peeps actually have it on ps4/Xbox.
60 $ start + 30 $ per season , probably 3 seasons so 150 $ before taxation to play a fighting game that has between a third and half of it's characters shamelessly copy pasted from it's previous installment ? For a fighting game with a reduced amount of characters per team, a fighting game that has lost it's marvel vs capcom uniqueness, transformed in a cheap tag team tekken? No thank you. Sorry kids, back in my days, a game like that cost 60 $. Capcom is milking your ass. I hope you understand that. personally, the feeling of being robbed always leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
Good review and I agree. The roster is pretty bad and the game lacks an artstyle and some of the models look weird. But the gameplay, lobby system, the netcode. Its fantastic.
Gonna be honest, after getting my hands on the game, i gotta agree with Max here. Presentation issues aside (and theres alot!), the mechanics and gameplay are really strong and have a ton of depth. And honestly i think the voicelines in battles are properly hype inducing. Presentations needs to be fixed but if the roster keeps evolving, it'll be pretty worth it.
Ok look I understand you like the gameplay but I don't feel like I should support a company that feels it's ok to think we just like characters because of functions, think it's ok to have characters literally in the story and not add them to the base roster but instead as dlc, and think it's ok to get away with minimum effort.
The gameplay is functional. That's why it's good. But the story, presentation, UI, character models, etc are all functional as well. And that's why they're bad. Suffice to say the developers of this game approached development with an awfully bland mindset; lacking in creativity. The game isn't meant to push any boundaries. It's just meant to exist based off the glory of the name brand.
Honestly I don't feel this is capcoms fault. Their games always look good. There is one new party in the mix who has to have things fit the mcu. And that's Disney. They, are truly at fault
It's why I'll only buy a pre-owned copy and no dlc. Capcom isn't getting any of my money but I still want to play around with it for a bit, at least learn to play properly with a couple of characters.
I know! I feel that the function memes are not their fault, simply bad marketing, but the dlc practices hurt. I bought the game anyway because it is a ton of fun but I wouldn't blame you for not wanting to support their greed.
Cringey story, terrible music, disney'ed roster, bad DRM, bad DLC... But dang, the gameplay is pretty solid. I wouldn't have bought it myself, but a friend bought it for me so... I feel bad about playing it, but I *am* having fun with it... Not as much fun as Marvel 3 on release, or Marvel 2 when it popped into arcades, but still fun.
I still am pleasantly surprised how much I ended up enjoying the game overall. Sure the roster is a bit weak and there are at least 30-40 characters I could name off that should be in the game ( new or returning), that said, this game's characters are way more fun for me to play than previous entries. In previous games I' would tend to stick to the same handful and hardly ever switch, in Marvel 2 the balance made playing some favorites a pain/chore, Marvel 3 I ended up liking a lot of characters but with the game's mechanics I tended to always gravitate to Vergil, Dormammu, Wesker, Akuma, Doom, Wolverine, Sentinel, Dante, Tron and Trish, and yet in Marvel VS Capcom Infinite, I play every character minus Spencer, Ms Marvel. While the story mode still missed the mark, I still had a fair bit of fun with it. I took it as this goofy "we know this is a dumb idea" that they just ran with it. It was entertaining, cringey in good & bad ways and was mostly fun to play. I do feel not having boss battles with the Symbiote Beast and other whacky not-in-other-game-modes type of deals was a huge missed opportunity. But I enjoyed this MUCH more than Street Fighter V's. I know Fighting Games having story modes and such is such a touchy subject for some, but I enjoy having them. Tekken 7, Injustice 2, Guilty Gear and this have all been enjoyable for me. So while Capcom needs a lot more work to elevate their story modes, I feel they had better effort and direction here, I'd still like to see them improve. The game itself is just immensely fun to play and has easily been more fun than Marvel VS Capcom 2 and Marvel 3/Ultimate and I am not ashamed to make that statement. The use of combos, the tag-out mechanic, going back to 2VS2, the Gem system and the weight of attacks and the feeling of moving, is just in all the right places and exceeds my expectations. I in fact, do see myself playing this game for several years and not something I boot up for fun...once in a blue or nostalgic mood but because I can't get enough of it. Overall it's a solid 8/10 for me
you can be like max and not care what other people say and still have fun with playing the game just dont be suprised when they release ultimate marvel vs capcom infinite with more characters
In MvC3 and Ultimate players said there was too much going on in the background Capcom listened and made the backgrounds more subdued now players are saying what happened there's not much going on in the background. What do you want?
i feel like they made this game strictly for tournament play, like thats why they focused much more heavily on gameplay than everything else. it seems like they could care less about the casual audience and just want to see it kick off well in the tournaments/esports scene.
Indeed. That does seem to be Capcom's target audience of late. The problem is the numbers of e-sports players are vastly dwarfed by regular gamers, let alone casuals. If you aim your product exclusively at a niche market, you get the success you deserve.
The only thing reasons I'd buy the game is because I loved playing umvc3 and X is in the game. Everything else looks really bland like menus and sound. The themes in the game are so butchered it hurts. At least they put in the X vs Zero theme in the story which I appreciate. I will get the game eventually but it is not worth $60 excluding the DLC characters. For what it has it's probably worth $40 at least.
Should actually be called Avengers vs Capcom.
Phoenix Might so true it aint even funny anymore
It sucks that they bring in mostly character's no one wants.
Phoenix Might Well X-men was heavily promoted in the 90's as remember they were in everything like Avengers, so your complaining is a bit silly,😂😂😂
Avengers feat. Capcom the game would be a more suitable name.
Phoenix Might yeah because rocket raccoon and gamora are avengers.
Capcom: We are gonna remove x-factor
US: oh thank god that was such bullsh....
Capcom: we are gonna remove every x related thing in the game.
Jonathan Except X
That's the main reason I'm not buying. X-men is the only thing I like from Marvel.
RandalfElVikingo Blame Disney. They are being petty over Fox having the Movie rights and won't do anything with the characters as to nit give Fox the publicity.
what about the character named X?
TechnoBlast649 I feel petty for Capcom, but they does not deserve a good game after being scamers
Marvel vs Capcom infinite is like an Ex- Boyfriend/Girlfriend, you don't like them but you still have feelings for them.
Bandai Namco win!!
Instead of spending time on creating npcs why didn't they use that time to create playable characters
instead of spending time creating a lame Story mode why didn`t they use that time to make proper cinematic character endings? would have been way more entertaining than the mediocre fest that was this game`s story mode.
UltimateBob Seriously, Deadpool would have been a way bigger draw than the story mode.
Why not both? its not like theyre a little indie team. they were lazy, simple as that.
It will probably be DLC
Or had budget restraints, or unforeseen production issues.
Heres to hoping for a new Capcomvs Tatsunoko or CVS3
Half of street fighter V dlc budget. It's disgusting.
Don’t forget the lack of budget as well
And why didn’t Capcom say to Disney something else, “Hey, Disney, there’s a 99% we could be wrong, but we think-now, just hear us out-we think that not including the X-Men (who have been there from the start of Marvel vs. Capcom) might…JUST MIGHT…be a bad idea and cause the game to flop…SEVERELY.”?
"A celebration of gameplay and mechanics."
So it literally is Function vs. Function: Infinite?
Emperor Zerbo unfortunately it seems fighting games are made for pros by pros these days and they consider casual players expandable since fans will buy anyway
gameplay and mechanics should never be ignored. Looking at good presentation and visuals as well as music is a must as well, but all of that would just be icing if the base game is repetitive or slow or just unoriginal.
A game needs both but in an imperfect world, gameplay should take precedence.
Yeah, that 8-way dash. Just a function.
Emperor Zerbo Sure~! *non sarcastic sure*
As soon as you heard that guitar and lyrics, you were like "Oh yeah, Dante's about to fuck up yo' shit." Here, it's relatively bland in comparison, with the themes presented as sort of a "Well we had theme music in the last game, so I guess we gotta do it now, too."
Yeah presentation should be secondary, but polish is important. This game is about hype, both professionally and casually. I just don't see the hype presented here.
So much about Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite would be better if it released in Spring 2018
Adrian Duran so true.
Agreed the presentation could have been extremely polished
It'd get destroyed by FighterZ
judging by the steam numbers and sales reports, it may well lose out to dbfz anyway
Gameplay looks much better than dbz though
reality stone. reality stone. reality stone. reality stone. reality stone. reality stone. reality stone.
TheBoyNinja those players are cancer. secretly waiting for the nerf
TheBoyNinja The stones are the worst part
Tyler Cafe i cannot even count the amout of players i have come across that couldnt even do a basic combo that spammed reality stone smh. im so glad capt marvel can armor thru it :)
If you cant get past reality stone spam.. you wont last long in this game
Rigs It's not hard to get around it just annoying especially with voice clips. Personally I think they shouldn't say it "reality stone" unless you're using its max power. But besides all that lots of people hate spamming period.
Graphics for Dragon Ball fighterZ is 10/10 confirmed by Max. Can't wait for that review.
Gameplay for that game is excellent too.
Wasted Potential: Infinite
True.
man just thinking about sick this game couldve been with a beautiful roster. Mvc2 returning characters or new characters daredevil, punisher, black bolt moon knight + best gameplay = hit but no capcom strikes again
Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite Disappointment
Is Capcom banking on future upgrades + DLCs that are gonna make the game great. It's like those 2 years projects that they always do, after the initial release. And then they would sell the upgrade version called, MvC Infinite Zero Ultimate edition.
It's the Maddenization of Capcom Foghting. They know their fans are sycophantic, so why try?
I give this game:
Function/5
"Wheres my Phoenix Wright and curly mustache"
I cannot like this comment enough
Poppy Is my Waifu How to like a comment again
f(x)=x^2+Dante
The reveal of the MVC collection brought me here
They absolutely butchered Dante's theme
thehippiefreak Butchered? You're being too nice.
thehippiefreak thats quite a feat on capcoms part.
I like it
face looked like pewdiepie
No X-men, no purchase.
Can't have server problems if nobody plays the game
Bob Stayoffthegrass SFV determined that was a lie
Bob Stayoffthegrass LMAO
*as you can see theres a spark the electric jester in his natural habitat...*
Ayyyy
True
This doesnt feel like a $60 game, personally. Feels rushed, and saved all the new characters as DLC.
I'll wait till a $20-$40 price drop, or Ultimate version.
yeah this feels like a $40 platform then a full game
It is already €18 on the PC
Marvel Vs Capcom 2 roster > Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite roster
That's not saying much. MvC2's roster was basically an omnibus of Marvel games.
Got it for 20 dlc and everything 😂 thanks Microsoft
Max face on the thumbnail is the definition of "meh"
I think you mean clickbait, at least he has his elderly vaguely asian girlfriend to disappoint
Meh since I'm a MvC fan, I will give it a 8/10 despite everything else is a D.
Remember the epic UMVC3 intro? that was quality now compare that intro alone with the entirety of MVCI? It will blow your mind.
Agreed.
ThndrMge You have to give it time there will be was to combat each stone
"It's gonna get so much better when we get X-men characters."
:(
:(
Maybe in marvel 4
:(
It's sad, bc i really just don't think this game was made with care. It's as if no one working on it likes Marvel or capcom. And that unenthusiastic feel shows itself within the game, hell even in the voices of the characters
How could you not mention Dante's theme a song so bad it makes you envy the deaf
Call555JackChop thats been his theme since dmc3..... unless you don't like the mvci version?
Mitchell Johnson the mvci version is super bad
Dante looks like a meth addict and his theme melts my brain. Everyone online plays him aswell so there's that too.. Fuck Dante man
They butchered everything about Dante in this game, sure he was never the most complex character, but they made him so fucking cringe in the story mode, his character model looks awful and even his theme is probably one of the worst in this game, which is quite a feat. I kinda want Vergil to not be in this game if they're gonna screw him just like they did Dante
Andres Madrid yeah ill agree with that..... it sounds unclear.....cant understand the lyrics lol.
The egg insiiiiiiiiide!!! The egg inside!!! lol
So, it looks like crap, but plays like a dream. Sounds about right.
All I want outta a (potential) UMvCi is better models, X-men characters and a few more capcom characters.
Character Wishlist:
Wolverine
Gambit
Magneto
Rogue
Storm
Phoenix
Iron Fist
Vergil
Amaterasu
Tron Bonne
Trish
Akuma
M. Bison
Most of there were in 3. Wouldn't you want more new characters to the franchise?
Though, I gotta say that you have good tastes my friend. ♡
MugenHeadNinja agreed with a lot of those.
Didn't stop them when they made 3 and Ultimate 3.
Nova and Spencer are in this game
The irritation I have MVCI is that you can clearly see where it could've improved, but Marvel just chose not to...
Michael Scally Capcom*
Michael Scally Here's the thing though, graphics and presentation can be heavily overhauled without any negative effects over time. However, core gameplay is something that can't be changed without screwing up the system that's already been layed out.
Infinites core gameplay is phenomenal, it just needs patches to fix the presentation and it'll be best seller.
A fantastic celebration....of *_functions._*
Mission accomplished. Well played, Capcom. Well played...
10 out of 10 gameplay
So Capcom's philosophy for fighting games is "Multiplayer content over Single-Player content" and "Gameplay functions over Game Presentation"
Russell Leonen Pretty much. Capcom could shart out a game called Clay vs Clay and esports would eat that shit up.
The DLC business practice makes this game unable to be purchased by me. I can't in good conscious support the game that's doing as blatant Day 1 DLC for full price as this. If you have it, fine, that's your choice. But it's not getting my money.
So I take it you haven't bought a single modern fighting game?
what day 1 dlc?
Unless you mean pre order costumes, there is none
A model being in the story mode doesn't mean they're in the game. Most GGXrd characters show up in the story before they're paid DLC.
JELIFISH19 I think he's referring to the fact they were advertising DLC characters before the game even launched, one of them being half of the main antagonist
Flyest Nihilist NRS games do the same thing.
You're a really fair and level headed critic! I wouldn't be able to not let my emotions get in the way of reviewing a game
That Hulk and Ryu part in story mode could be a separate mode in itself. I liked it. I would play it again with different characters.
I appreciate how he can be hard on something he loves so much. This review felt really informative.
Old Capcom : Hey lets add Samonuske, falcon and asura on the dlc list i think thats a good idea!
New Capcom: LOL! Who do you think you are! were adding jane foster as thor and that's it.
Azure Dont forget Amadeus Cho as the Hulk
RegentPie Oh god lol
I think Jane Foster as Thor would be awesome. What's wrong with Jane Foster?
Nothing at all....other than the fact that we would have to pay extra for it as opposed to it being an alternate skin that should have been available on /launch/.
what happened to capcom they used to make so much good games my favorite game is the first devil may cry how can a company become so selfish
I'm glad that this game gave the X series a lot of love though. Its really needed it
Thank you for the Review, Max!!!
I hope ultimate edition brings us Akuma, Asura, Vergil, Xmen, Venom, Nero & more!
Arthur's Little World no ultimate edition it seems were getting the sf5 treatment and there adding in more as time goes on.
Arthur's Little World well venom is confirmed as dlc along with black panther, sigma, monster hunter, black widow and winter soldier.
I wish they already were in the game.
Captain comando
Considering the poor sales, I don't think a "ultimate" version will ever be released. But Street vs Tekken had plenty of "expansions", so who knows, maybe Capcom will milk this crap.
Sounds like MvC:I is quickly becoming the Mass Effect Andromeda of the MvC series.
Barcey The Zombie honestly that's very accurate as mass effect Andromeda was critised for it's character models as well.
O yeah
Did you watch the review?
SFxT all over again. Some big glaring flaws turn off the audience, but the core gameplay is solid af
but ppl didnt forgive sf x t
And the sf x t cap leaked into the gamepay
So a fighting game?
The core gameplay showcased some of those biggest flaws though. Competitive gameplay of SFxT was a ridiculous glitch showcase. SFxT is no where near "solid".
not after the 2013 patch
I feel like after watching the Monster Hunter Worlds trailer and how pretty and fucking ridiculous that game looks, I understand WHY MVCi looks like ass.
Their entire budget went into MH.
ch0ob i mean it HAS been keeping them afloat the last couple of years. I was thinking the same thing. You just beat me to it.
MHW is made with MT framework CapCom's own engine. MvCI (and SFV) is CapCom trying to learn how to use Unreal 4 and kind'a failing at it.
Why does MvC3 look better than Infinite?
Just wait for the dlc to come packaged with the game.
Dominic Waters Yeah, like when Jill and Shuma Gorath came packaged with Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3...wait, that didn't happen.
UR Xyless Well, it did with the PS4, Xbox One and PC version.
spongebobfan78 yeah, in 2017, how many years AFTER umvc3 was released in 2011?
edit: also, on a completely different system.
A.K.A. the GOTY edition
thehaxfactory no, I'm willing to wait until they add all the dlc to the damn disc, and even then, if the X-Men (as well as other *glaring* omissions) aren't back, then fuck this game.
Sword Of Monarch that was really strange when I saw that
Couldn't say it better
Sword Of Monarch Go for KOF XIV, it's calling for true fighting enthusiasts.
the gameplay is great which is the soul of a fighting game
littlescruby tfw people think gameplay isn't the most important part of a game
This game is fucking incredible in the mechanics, watching it live and seeing Twitch chat go hype over the crazy shit is a great sign and man is it intense.
However, with Capcom's decision on how they are going to be running the game (full $60 price for a meh roster with DLC already on the way for "new" and "cool" characters) I just refuse to buy it right now.
LPjunemark Did you even read his comment?
Androzz Senpai ok sorry.
It's $80 here :(
I agree, it's not getting my money.
Same. I am waiting for the price to drop.
I'm not buying a game for 175 $. 60 $ start + 30 $ per season + tax? Go to hell Capcom.
Calleihal nwn2 This. I can live with bad graphics and story and all that. But i absolutly hate being scammed and i still have a VERY sour taste in my mouth from SFV.
waiting for an ultimate edition lol
Dominicandante1 Gaming not happening
Elias Nicolas Miranda yeah just like how sfv is dead, oh wait
Elias Nicolas Miranda lol comparing kof which I am a fan of to marvel capcom is absurd. Get real bro
Especially in the USA
norman smelser you know that an ultimate edition is the game with all DLC and prob an extra 3/6 new characters
@Maximilian Dood
This game is essentially Marvel (Cinematic Universe) vs.
X-MEN, and new additions of Samanosuke(Onimusha), Shade(Cyberbots), Asura(Asura's Wrath), John Talbain(Darkstalkers),
Gene(Godhand),Leon Kennedy(Resident Evil series), and more.
Hope everyone had a great day!
Nine the Phanthom my uncle died
well that escalated quickly
Nine the Phanthom ditto
Nine the Phanthom thank you! You as well!
Chippersoreas damn. May your uncle rest in piece dude
so max is basically saying ,This game is Like Pam from Archer, ugly, annoying, bloated.......but the sex though...omg
Ooopiegoo Hurp if only it was like her when she was on cocaine
Ooopiegoo Hurp One of the best comments i have ever seen
Probably the best way I've heard someone explain this, and you are correct haha
Hahahah
I guess? Yeah...
TReaperx actually he's like that in the comics after he becomes an adult... He's not gonna stay a teen forever is he
except this is mcu spiderman who is just 15 years old.
Is the story as bad as SFV's? Because that shit put me to sleep in a matter of minutes.
its like watching businessmen dressed as toys and pretending they are the toys, they will play their role but sometimes its like they never talked to real people
I know it's been said time and time again, but the game's biggest issue is that it just utterly reeks of laziness.
Mr. G-Force if they had waited just 1 more year they could've fixed so much more is pathetic
Which is why I'm not paying jack shit for this game until it is dirt cheap with all DLC included (cause let's be honest, we all know there's gonna be a super duper deluxe extra awesome ultimate edition of the game, it's capcom after all lol)
I remember people said SFxT was the best capcom fighter, when it came out. Then people woke up.
minjod People are like this with all the Capcom fighters
There are always people that don't like stuff, and always people that do. People hate on SFxT but there are plenty that like it also. Same goes for everything.
Its not a bad game by any means. But it being the best fighter? Lol there are much better fighters out there
It's the best fighter for HIM. If he enjoys the gameplay more than any other game, then sure. It's not the best overall package, but from his perspective, if the gameplay is godlike. It can certainly be one of the best fighters. Maybe if the presentation and artwork wasn't so lame, people might agree. But unfortunately, nobody will care, because of the art design.
minjod no they got salty because of on disc dlc
I'mma wait for the "Ultimate" edition.
I think they will not be a ultimate edition by oct 2018 they're going to take this game off retail shelves it will be likely on digital afterwards.
Never happened
Welp. This comment did not age amazingly
@Tony A. rn I’m waiting for a new marvel vs capcom game lol
@@bazaar8493 what do you mean? The deluxe edition with all the dlc characters and costumes came out long ago
Capcom: Umvci is a Good Fighting game.
Goku: Umvci is that some kind of food ?
Toriyama: Did you mean Dragon Ball Fighter Z.
So glad I listened to Max. The gameplay really is fantastic and even though I am pissed off like everyone else the X-Men are nowhere to be seen ... Morrigan lives!
RIP Darkstalkers
And Jedah!!
The reason there are no X-men is because Marvel did not want to give FOX any free publicity. Don't forget FOX holds the film right to the X-Men.
Daniel the films have nothing to do with the games
UltimateBob marvel doesn't wanna promote the xmen at all they are killing the characters off in comics and everything
I don't think it's about publicity as it is about money and rights.
Dante was my favourite character in umvc3...need I say more...
danvers213 yea man, wait for a graphics update or just wait for the game to go on a sale.
danvers213 Stop falling in love with characters. Problem solved
Danvers, are you actually that stupid. Max himself would discredit that sentence immediately.
Skeptic Gamer And?
Piece Digital Games Characters? You mean functions right?
To me gameplay is more important to a fighting game even though I do like good graphics but that's second to the gameplay.
And magically all the apologists forget their "Function Vs Function" outrage. Yeah, ok.
so in other words, MVCI has good gameplay but is bogged down by its poor presentation and scummy DLC practices followed by a butchered roster.
might pick up when it like 25-30 bucks at the most, its just hard to justify paying the full 60 dollar price tag in its current state.
They call me Jojo Give it a year or so & it will be 15 bucks just like Street Fighter V
I'm buying pre-owned, capcom not getting my money for this
I hear ya the 6 announced characters have me going.... meh. Venom is cool and i am waiting on how black panther and sigma play. I need to see what else capcom has in store before i shell out anything for the game
They call me Jojo its 22 € on pc
On disc DLC with Ultron Sigma.... SFxT all over again.
i Williamz wha? There's been no DLC yet and Ultron Sigma isn't going to be a playable character.....
I doubt that Ultron Sigma is going to be on-disc DLC, but Capcom's definitely cutting off content with Monster Hunter and probably plenty of other DLC characters because Monster Hunter was just straight-up done and being shown off in trailers and movelist demonstrations the day after the game's release.
dracocrusher They finished the game back in June. The DLC characters weren't done by that point.
Psyco6 Even with that probably being true, saying you have 6 DLC characters coming out in the next 3 months makes me wonder why you didn't delay the game 3 months to give us an extra 1/5th of the roster.
LaserfaceJones Marvel or the publisher was probably pushing the hard deadline. Not every company can be Square Enix and delay the game for a few years
There is a simple solution to getting the best experience from this game: just wait. The core is fine, just like SFV was, but the game is rushed in all other aspects, the roster being the biggest problem. Wait for a complete version of the game for a more reasonable price/more complete experience (modes and characters). There are plenty of varied FGs on the market and most have a better package than this one.
the core is not fine m8
I think core is referring to the gameplay. And whats wrong with the gameplay?
And there is no guarantee we will get an Ultimate Marvel again. We haven't gotten a Super Street Fighter V yet and we're coming close to 2 years now.
metaXzero SFV is also still getting new DLC characters.
wait for 5 years
Pretty good and extended review. All those that called you a sellout for not shitting on this game can eat their hearts out. Being honest like this is the best way to do a review.
I'm not sure what's worse in this game, the graphics or the music?
ONEPUNCHMAN the voices
Most of music is good (most, not all).
Music
ONEPUNCHMAN the graphics or the music.. lets see. I'll say the roster
The game itself us the worst
The gameplay is so much fun in this game!! Def worth playing if you can overlook the bland graphics
*cough*).
I miss the 8 stage arcade with each character, give me 3 images with a little story tie in at the end
I do too, the replay value is so much more
Yeah, but they kind of did it with MVC3, the last character to beat the game gets their ending. My idea for prologue is to show both characters at the beginning, the rival battle is random for whichever character (2 or more for each like SSF IV), I think it will also add to the replay. It may take less time than the actual story mode they did
I am happy the game will get dlc, for sure
Exactly! That would be way better for replay value too. And you read my mind about Story Mode and NetherRealm haha, totally agree with you!
Gameplay. Ultimately, that's the most important part of a game.
Norspark true. But if your going to copy and paste they can do better. Look at MH world and tell me capcom couldnt have done more.
...How would capcom know to rush the game in order to come out before all of those games?
The release date for marvel vs capcom infinite was announced WAY BEFORE BOTH OF THOSE WERE EVEN ANNOUNCED TO BE IN EXISTENCE
Like come on they clearly did a terrible rush job, but don't blame it on games that CAPCOM had no knowledge of
...Maybe it's because we have different opinions of this game?
Yes it did, were you even there?
KOF14 didn't have "white knights" because the negativity wasn't AS BIG as this
Kof XIV is a product from a nearly dead company that has the balls to make a new game. The same company didn't abandon the so loved 2D staple until the very end. It's not a fair comparison.
I see nothing but people hating on Capcom... what?
Do you want white knight? Because that is how you get white knights.....
Great review Max. Let's hope for a KOF style update to compliment the awesome gameplay.
I loved the look on Max's face in the thumbnail for this video LMAO
you keep saying that Ultron Omega is a reference to MMX4 last boss, but realy is a reference to MMX5 last boss, you know, Omega Sigma!!!!!! even the blue floating arms are there!!
knowing Max he's probably just mixed up on which MMX game he's thinking of. he's bad at keeping track of stuff like that
Sorry but this game us just a no go.
Andrew Wiebe It's not like Tekken's graphics are that good anyways. But the gameplay is at least tight and fun
Man when you said Capcom vs SNK 2 I got them feels. That’s one of my favorite games ever made.
How come Max looks like he just witnessed a tragedy?
cuz he did? we all did
A tragedy is an 8/10?
It's like you guys are deaf or something
His 8/10 seems force lol.
He knows his audience is mostly idiots that won't watch the video and just leave negative comments about the game. I mean, jut look at these replies
Fix Morrigan's Face
Mikami151515 fix her voice too
Mikami151515 fix capcom
+We Dem Hoy Minoys her voice is fine. She is supposed to be Scottish.
A lot of things are underwhelming.
agree. The gameplay alone is worth it, but not for $60.
Like i said, the gameplay is excelent. it is everything else that is wrong
Having the best gameplay is only the starting point. Then you build on it.
I literally bought this game because it came for free with a stick purchase on Newegg
kasF lol just giving away copies of the game.
Think that deal is still going on?
MrDubayoo Hurry and check their website. They might have sold out already though
Greatdragon999 I wanna try this game now because of Max, but I'm not dipping a single dollar after what they did to Chris & Dante's faces and voices.
I know! I feel that the function memes are not their fault, simply bad marketing, but the dlc practices hurt. I bought the game anyway because it is a ton of fun but I wouldn't blame you for not wanting to support their greed.
When are we getting Assist me!?
Zetahoven that will be part of a dlc, along with the “A” team roster
Infinite doesn't have assists
"Tag me"?
For any UK PC players, MVCI is currently £16 on cdkeys. I would never pay full price for this but 60% off is a pretty nice deal.
I like the artstyle. It looks clean, fresh, new, and different. Everything gleams at you on screen
Such a honest review max a lot of people say your a sucker for capcom but this review says otherwise
How did they manage to make Morrigan not sexy? That's impressive.
Overall it's a solid 8/10 for me
since disney bought fox we might have the x-men and the fantastic four in marvel vs capcom infinite
The presentation of the game is just awful. The bars, menús, etc are just lacking of imaginantion. They deserve a 3 out of ten.
YES IVE BEEN WANTING THIS REVIEW FROM YOU! Thanks Max! Ive been thinking about if I should buy this game or not.
Chase XJ its a really fun game just shit story
you can be like max and not care what other people say and still have fun with playing the game just dont be suprised when they release ultimate marvel vs capcom infinite with more characters
Also you can play Online Rank Match. Yeah, that's all. Have fun buying all the DLCs along with SFV DLCs, but hey, that gameplay though.
Because they know these pros will buy their shit no matter how bad it is when winning money is involved.
