    I don’t have kids, but my sister loved this tip I gave her. When you’re making an ice cream cone, put mini marshmallows or cut up marshmallows in the bottom of the cone before you put the ice cream in. They stop the ice cream from dripping out of the bottom of the cone. No more chocolate ice cream stains on the clothes and no more lost melted ice cream. Makes a nice surprise when the kids get to the marshmallows, too!

    Yes! I started setting timers for my kids to know when an activity is almost over- tv included. We have been very diligent about timers: you’ll always get a warning and the activity stops immediately. and it has made getting ready for school easier, bedtime easier, everything.

    I’m a FT working momma and have learned pre-prepping everything is what works best for us. Your hanging compartment in the closet to store their outfits is genius. I’ll use this to lay out clothes for the week! ❤

    Love the idea of reading the books extra slowly! Its relaxing! And you dont have to worry about having to read multiple books due to bordem of finishing the book to fast. Instead of reading 2 to 3 books i was able to have the kids relaxed and asleep after just one!

    I loved this Brittany, I’ve saved all your parenting videos for my Son and his partner for hopefully one day they give me a grandchild, from way back when Carter was a baby, I absolutely Love your parenting skills and videos, and I’ll be saving this one for the future as well. Your the Best. Can’t believe how much Capri has grown and she’s two already, Wow, where has that time gone, it only seems like yesterday she was this little baby girl and I remember your gender reveal on the beach when you found out you were having a little girl, it was beautiful. Cheers from Queensland Australia 🇦🇺💖💖💙💙

    These are so great! I’m 12 years and 4 kids into parenting and I still learned some things! My best mom tip is similar to your first one. I guide them in the appropriate way to ask for things- without whining and with using words- if one of my kids is pointing and saying “uh uhhhh waaahhhh!” I say “mommy may I please have my cup?” When they repeat they get what they’re asking for ❤ a way to start good communication and manners 😊

    Hey Brittany, I absolutely love your channel! This is actually very interesting to me because I am a full-time caregiver to my 79-year-old mother, who is partially disabled, and this is a game changer, because as you know, older people also tend to act like kids, and they might not be able to hear very well, or see very well , so it’s difficult. Show this video also works well for the elderly! So thank you and much love and I respect from New Orleans baby!⚜️❤️‍🔥

      @rebeccaford5121 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@reginaa4935 No injuries and a 4 year old and 7 year old was active in the balloon toss. The children would have stayed out until dark if they had been allowed. The reusable balloons are soft and easily open and close with concealed magnets. The reusable balloons will be the "hit of the party". I ordered from Amazon.

    Such a good video, as always, Brittany. I've been trying to get into Shea Whitney's channel that you recommended but I just haven't been able to. Your content is so much more interesting and down to earth enjoyable. I think I'm better off sticking to your channel. :) Loved the tip at the end about reading very slow and softly to the kids at bedtime to get them to sleep. I've got a 6 year old granddaughter that likes to fight sleep as well and I'm looking forward to trying this out on her. What a great idea! :) Oh! And I have GOT to get those water balloons and painting pad kit, what a great gift idea for that 6 year old! :))

    Great kid friendly ideas. The parent must set the example and the rules. I like the TV timer and those water balloons. My rule we always had dinner together and the TV was turned off. You learn so much from your children at the dinner table. (boys however until they are in the third grade it is always about barfing, farting or buggers) But listen anyway and then ask if they do that in school. ha ha Love the slow reading book idea. Thanks Brittany.

      We use to turn the heat way up in the winter and fill a little pool or Tub up , bring in all the pool and beach toys. In the basement or kitchen. And have a summer beach day. We would put fireworks on the television. The kids loved it! ❤️ Of course Dr Seuss Day, toy rotation, when they were little to get them to drink water they thought it was so cool to drink out of the little water bottles especially if I wrapped them in cool designs…

    Oh that's a cool idea to have a 5pm activity! Ones we like are construction vehicle toys in the garden and this really easy one was milk on a plate, put drops of food colouring on it and then dip a cotton bud (qtip? For Americans) into dishwashing liquid and mess up the drops of food colouring. Does a cool marbling effect. Easy clean up too.

    Also something I learned from Ms Rachel is the 2 minute hack. ANYTHING they refuse to do instead give the option of 2 minutes for the request. So for example, “can your brother swing now ? Swap for, Can your brother swing in 2 minutes ? Or Do you want to leave the library now or in 2 minutes? And then literally set a timer and when it goes off say OH! Do you hear that ? our 2 minute timer is up, it’s time to (fill in the blank)
