    Very nice video.
As a youngster, both my neighbours worked on the railway.
On the East Coast mainline between KX and Edinburgh, trainspotting was the order of the day.
One day, an 03 or 04 pulled up at the platform next to me and a mate.
"Want a ride? said the neighbour.
    "Yes please"
    Unforgettable.

Must be a pain to look backward while driving it.

Any one know where I can get a wiring diagram for the Class 03. I have a non charging one where I am trying to trace the fault.

My best guess is you try to contact companies who still run them, or you can try a museum.

Is this the only diesel mechanic class in British railways? Or their are some other classes too?

Class 04's were too. There are also various small 040 and 060 shunters, but I don't know if they were BR, or industrial-only use models.

Was there any reason mechanical transmissions in locomotives never took off? That's less maintenance than diesel-electric due to having no traction motors.

One of the reasons i suspect is power output, the 03's while quicker than the 08's couldn't move even half of what the 08's could, plus the constant changing gears in yards was frustrating compared to the 08s, even though the 03' and 08's are similar age, the 08s did the job so much better.

      那裡滿大的
      有一座扇形車庫、二座維修機車庫、一座號誌樓、一條場內試車線(約750公尺)
