PRIEST Painted MURALS? | St Barnabas Church, Swindon | Beautiful Wall Paintings | Church History

St Barnabas Church, Gorse Hill, Swindon, Wilts is Catholic, a place I once lived close to but had never ventured inside, until now. What delights awaited, (if any) I thought - as I entered - How glad was I to step inside and view the Murals painted by Fr John Perret (Sometime Rector at nearby Stanton Fitzwarren Church, Swindon, Wiltshire). It was, apparently, a thank-offering of his return to health. There is an interesting link, below, to John Perret's life.

Beautiful church. And the flowers scattered throughout the building is a lovely touch. If the church is named after a saint. Could you please give us some information about the saint.?

Hi Elaine. I don't know anything about the saint in this particular case and often, I only glean such information, if it's in the church literature or in online history when I seek out links to put in the description of the churches. I've googled it, just now, to no avail. If I find it out for future videos I'll attempt to include it ( but please bear in mind I've got approx 100 videos awaiting editing, so it'll be sometime yet before I can put this in!).
