One of the best American bands. Hands down. I always loved their sorta cartoonist agressiveness. Kinda like the Beatles on steroids. I've seen them several times over the years and I have to say they were some of the best shows I've ever seen. Along with Everclear, the Gin Blossoms, the Foo Fighters and early Goo Goo Dolls
You're not. Have loved them since 1978. I also discovered Styx & REO Speedwagon in 1976. When I worked in the Chicago area, 2011-2014, all three of these bands played many of the festivals & fairs in the area, often free.
@@BenjaminHawkins-gk8wn Cool! All great bands! I appreciate all their music much more now that I did when I was a kid. Only now do I realize how fantastic this music was. The older I get the better it gets. Its crazy😂
These guys are so incredibly humble and so incredibly talented. All of them. And so under-rated as a band. This song, in my opinion, personifies their talent. The vocals, the drums, the guitar, all very tight and well executed. It took me many years to really appreciate their talent. They have this way of drawing you in, because their songs are so catchy, but once you are in, you really start to understand and appreciate their talent. And OMG, don't get me started on "Need Your Love"....
Yes, truly an American original. On the subject of their "look"... I always though Cheap Trick kind of "invented" that idea, but they were definitely influenced somewhat...both musically and aesthetically... by the LA band Sparks. Seriously, check 'em out. Listen to the Kimono in My House album and Whomp That Sucker. It's nuts. They influenced bands all the way from Queen to Cheap Trick to DEVO. Amazing crazy band. Two brothers, one "cool", the other one "creepy". Most excellent.

Robin Zander's awesome vocals can shatter glass and eardrums. He and Freddie Mercury are my favorite male rock vocalists of all time. Even auto tune can't help today's frauds belt it out like true talent and ability.
I don't know if you remember that side project Stone Temple Pilots had back in 1997 called Talk Show. Robin Zander is such a passionate soul. An incredible singer, he pushes the needle to the red on every song he sings, reaching for the outer limits of his vocal ability every time. Few rock singers dig as deep as Zander does.

Just heard this song on Spotify for the first time in probably 30 years. I don't know why I had forgotten it, but hearing took me back to the summer of 1985 when I was in between the awkward 10th grade and the fun filled 11th grade. In that span, I felt like I had quickly transformed from a child and into a young man. This song immediately takes me back to the fun times of 1985.
By the time that Cheap Trick released this song, 1985, I was already working on my 2nd childhood, having already completed college & finished my active duty in the Arm, but still in the Reserve..

+darke812 I heard that Bun E. has been dealing with health-related issues leading to his semi-retirement. According to Wikipedia he's still a member of the band, he's just not touring anymore. Personally, I think that Rick's son, Daxx, is doing well playing the role of drummer, probably because I think that the Cheap Trick fans are kind of glorifying him. If someone can bring to my face why Bun E. is a brilliant drummer, I would very much like to hear your statement.
+UnknownBlackHand He just has a way, it can't really be explained, kinda like how it's hard to pinpoint the brilliance of Keith Moon. It's the whole package, the off-beats he throws out to his hi-hat work to his laid-back personality approach. Roll all those things into one and you have someone very special.
cannot disagree on Bun's talent and what he brought to the band. The issue was that the sets were getting shorter and no variation, as Bun stepped aside, Daxx brings a younger man's energy and he has talent. not just a band member's kid. Just saw them in Milwaukee again last month, Daxx really has talent. BTW, they sound as good as ever.
I met them while they were on this tour. I was 15y and working as a roadie/crew member for the venue (my first job). Out of all the bands I met over the years they were by far the coolest, most down to earth.
These guys are my favorite band growing up and today.I always thought Bun E. Carlos looked like a used car salesman with his look and mannerism on video.

Cheap Trick Love The 1985
Robin Zander
Got 2 b front row in vegas when this song came out..had a banner that said we luv u robin..their moment came & took us up front!! Was awesome..also had a big white teddy bear that's name was robin..lol
What's missing from this Video? Tom Petersson. So glad he came back. Now they need to get over their issues and get Bun E. back!!
+darke812 Damn right
+darke812 I heard that Bun E. has been dealing with health-related issues leading to his semi-retirement.
Tom Petersson's in this video.
Great song by an underrated band in my opinion but very good, ¡¡¡CHEAP TRICK!!! 👍😉
this band is underrated AF
One of Cheap Tricks' Best Tunes. Love ya guys and always will. Damn' GREAT Memories!!!!
Thank you artbyshan. This group was GREAT THEN AND ALWAYS BE FOR ME. Best of wishes. Thanks Again my friend.
Thank you Susie creeme cheese
I think Robin is so cool and he has class and manners !
This is ONE OF THEIR B E S T. songs by far
I met them while they were on this tour. I was 15y and working as a roadie/crew member for the venue (my first job). Out of all the bands I met over the years they were by far the coolest, most down to earth.
Check out the episode of "American Pickers", where Wolf & Fritz make a trip to Rick Nielsen's warehouse.
One of the greatest bands ever! Glad they have not stopped performing.. Saw them last June and they still sound fantastic !
One of the greatest songs of the 80's. It brings a lot of memories.
Robin Zander has the most incredible voice and don't get me started on his chin dimple, so beautiful
These guys are my favorite band growing up and today.I always thought Bun E. Carlos looked like a used car salesman with his look and mannerism on video.
Lolololololololol!
Clear voice. Love it

Indeed.
Love Cheap Trick ! It was great to see them inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ! I've got one of their guitar picks from a USO show they did back in 1984 .One of my favorite possessions !
I don't see how they pulled it off and b 4 how would know,34 years of Rock and roll
Well-deserved induction!
