I'm not sure if you are familiar with AB Camping with Tony and Bruno but his beloved dog..Bruno passed away the other day while he was doing a camping video from seizures, it was the saddest thing to hear! He posted a very emotional video letting us all know of Bruno's passing and showed snippets of Bruno 30 minutes before his passing! I cried so much!

Where's Joel? Did you come yourself? because google translate translates in such a way that you use the plural in your utterances as if she were also with you.
He was also using the plural while speaking in English, so I think he's just thinking in terms of being a couple, even though Joelle wasn't along.
Either that, or he was speaking as though we were there with him, which is a nice thought.
