A word of caution it looks like the extension cord that you're using may be the same one that I purchased from Harbor Freight. 12 amp 50 or 100 Ft.. The female end of the cord does not have full contact on the cord. The forst time I used on of these. I bought for my snowblower. I had a fire and the hot sode melted both m and f ands to crisp luckily I cought it in time. Just be careful. One last thing you may want to invest $17 in The Lodge cast iron trivet. When originally introduced by Griswold it was called the boil in the pan it keeps the beef off the bottom from steering for hours. Nice even heat.
Nice build and good ideas. I like the A/C set up. Suggestion: You have power, why not use an electric water kettle instead of propane burner to heat water? Save on some propane use. Just a thought.
Very relaxing video. Your setup is okay and will be better from trip to trip. All what you need, w/o unuseful things. Not to expensive, okay the powerstation and air conditioner maybe. To put your kajak on and off the roof rack you should install a kajak roller or loadassist. It`s easy to handle.

The AC will definitely help! The heat gets unbearable here in Kentucky as well, and the humidity can make it miserable at times, haha! Mosquitos are out in full force as well, unfortunately. I'm glad you enjoyed it! 👍

The bed is amazing, right when you opened the door I noticed it before you even said anything about it, I was like "that bed rocks" it's totally awesome love how you burned it. You did an excellent job on it. It's just genius, the drawer, and the lift up lid for storage. Fantastic. You can keep extra blankets never know when you may need them and you can put your heater in there electric and the buddy heater for the cold months, summer time put your fans in there or a hot plate or crock pot/slow cooker, you know all kinds of stuff, lol. I'm sure you already know what you're going to put in there, lol. I was just giving a few suggestions just to remind you. Let me just say the air conditioner is GENIUS! Now you're gonna be so comfortable, no more sweating your butt off. Maybe you can do more camping now, woo-hoo, maybe once a week. Oh yeah, that would be awesome awesome AWESOMENESS! That is one beautiful setup! I just bought a 2019 taco last week and I’m going to definitely be installing a softopper to camp out in soon! Wish I could do a more elaborate setup like this, but being honest with myself, my truck is gonna spend way more time just being a pickup truck than being a camper lol. Maybe someday 😭 Great rig!

Great upgrades Dylan, great spot . Might want to put some fine mesh over your intake and venting tubes to keep the bugs from clogging up the inside of your ac unit
May I ask why you didn’t put part of your canopy over the rear of your truck topper? That way in case of rain you don’t get wet when entering and exiting your truck bed. ‘ Also where did you find the bed topper with the full rear door? We live in north central Washington state in the mountains. When we ( my buddy and I) go camping, where we go, we don’t need an A/C, rather we generally need heat. And yes we’ve got that covered. I’m happy that you have A/C for your camping. Both of our trucks are 23 Tacoma TRD’s , double cab, 6’ beds. My friend has an Alumi-cap for his truck. He also has a Dr Decker in the bed of his truck. I haul our Queen mattress (that fits on top of his bed deck over the wheel wells). I haul the sleeping bags, cooking utensils, plates, freeze dried food, snacks, etc. Lanterns, solar panels, generator, fishing gear, etc. He hauls our backpacks, pillows, etc. Our wives don’t like to rough it as much as we do, so it works out well for he and myself. Our wives idea of “roughing it” is in a Holiday Inn. He’s kind to me because he’s in his late 20s and I’m pushing 60, so he slows down for me. He’s a great friend and though there’s over 30 years difference in age, our interests are the same. I’ve got the years of experience and he shows me new easier ways of doing things.

I just am starting to think of how i want my new camper to be rigged out, have a leer R100 5'8" with carpeted top, how do you cut holes in the fiberglass and mount those brackets without taking out some carpet or can you just waterproof from above and drill through the carpet and add large washers below or a plate? by the way that is an awesome set up.
Nice setup I wonder how the ecoflow AC unit would work in my expedite van ? Right now I have a 5,000 BTU window AC unit mounted to the rear door works good on super hot days It doesn't look the best but hey it keeps me cool while I'm waiting in between loads I'm powering it with a 3500 watt predator generator
I would say it would work well in your van, especially using the generator to run it! But if you're happy with the window AC setup and it works well for you, definitely keep it 👍

Great Looking Set up. that campsite looks very cool. i just recently got a cheaper version of that portable AC and havnt got to try it yet. Couldnt you just have the one hot air outtake run outside by itself and the fresh air intake inside ? i been thinking about that with my truck .
Thank you! I have heard people running the AC that way but also heard it will work better, running both the hot air out and pulling the fresh air inside. I'm not sure, but I can say that it worked very well so far running it this way 👍
You could cool your truck down better if you took the intake hose out of the door and just let it suck the air from inside your truck instead of from the outside....just a thought.
@@DylanDelongwhat’s your honest opinion on the eco wave 2? I heard that the heat won’t really work below 40 degrees. But my main concern while camping is AC. I’m not too worried about heating the truck bed cause I’ll just go with a diesel heater.
In my opinion, the Wave 2 is worth it just for the AC alone! It cools the truck bed down nicely when set up properly. As for heat, I haven't used it enough in the winter yet. I prefer my buddy heater and a heavy sleeping bag.
Your intake or fresh air tube needs more separation from exhaust tube. You don't want to pull hot air back thru a/c . Self defeating the purpose. Good luck.

You could cool your truck down better if you took the intake hose out of the door and just let it suck the air from inside your truck instead of from the outside....just a thought.

@@DylanDelongwhat’s your honest opinion on the eco wave 2? I heard that the heat won’t really work below 40 degrees. But my main concern while camping is AC. I’m not too worried about heating the truck bed cause I’ll just go with a diesel heater.
In my opinion, the Wave 2 is worth it just for the AC alone! It cools the truck bed down nicely when set up properly. As for heat, I haven't used it enough in the winter yet. I prefer my buddy heater and a heavy sleeping bag.
I noticed that you had your intake outside… wanna try to have the intake inside so it can re-circulate the cold air instead of the outside warm air?

Your intake or fresh air tube needs more separation from exhaust tube. You don't want to pull hot air back thru a/c . Self defeating the purpose. Good luck.
