As a native speaker (I live in the Midwest in America)... I dont think we really use "Don't tell me" in the way that you described. I would say that we use it moreso when you forget a word, for example, "Where did you get that... oh don't tell me... that purse!", or just something like that in general: "Your favorite book is... don't tell me... Harry Potter!" Idk, just my experience ;P

These tutorials are awesome. However, I think they're too long to be patient and listen to all of it till the end. It gets boring to watch/hear someone talk a lot. Probably squeezing them in a 4-5 min video with more visuals and sounds and less talking would help people who are busy and are still wanting to learn from you. Just a feedback!
