Kudos to Austin and Billy for having to DRAG info and stories out of these pros. A suggestion for Austin and Billy (you might do this already) send your questions to the guests ahead of time so they can at least prep for these interviews. Albert, we want to hear specifics about the tours or random things from that past. Korea, for example: -Was their a particular trick that DL did that you thought wow -How about filming with Josh, did he say anything to you about a trick or spot that made you proud -Did you land something or work hard for a clip of a section, share the story then Billy and Austin can edit the clip into the episode, which we all like -How about the locals, did they rip -What about the spots, was their anything interesting or hard about them that would be a fun share Ben Schwab share a great story about a spot in Russia with Billy that was scary, it was an interesting story and a fun listen. Or when Aaron shared about proving himself to get on Mindgame. Aaron Freaking Feinberg had to prove himself to get on Mindgame, wow! To all the old pros that read this, those kids that you saw and met on your stops want to hear about how good or how nice they were. Those fellow skaters where stoked to ride with you. Give the fans and skaters from the past some love with details.
I liked the early stuff in that bright track suit with the braids, I think 'Lords of Movement' was the film from about 2000. Wouldn't dress like that now haha. But I loved watching Irish skaters on TH-cam. A crew of them actually went over on a trip to Boston where they skated with Adam O Brien and Gabe Holm, plus all the other Boston heads. Forget the video name but it had a lot of not so well know Irish bladers too. Some of them were really good too. I liked Jay Mulligan's style a lot, he made stuff look good.
Albert is a crazy cat, I loved some of the early stuff and later when he was lacing some crazy hammers in the BHC videos. I think BHC: Corporate Killers, amazing section in that. Lots of high, high up stuff most people would strap a chute on before leaping off. Oh also he won the IMYTA final four, royale 540, blind not much wax and boom laces it. There were others doing the same spot but the security came in doing their usual act and so they got kicked off the spot and gave Al the win. But he deserved it. Minton would be a good guest. He went on to filming as well.
When Billy had his Wheelscene podcast recently, I submitted a question to ask about episode 100 but it didn’t get asked. So thank you Albert for doing it for me! My guess is it’ll be Latimer or Haffey.
The green Hooi USD. I loved looking at it on my feet but man it is ugly third person, it was my first aeon and hooked me on flat and USD brand. Got unused Lomaxs and using carbons on Osyi. I love flat now cause I very rarely land on my ass
