Key to enjoying Philippines is to go with the flow and talk, joke around with the locals. Filipinos are so friendly and outgoing. Forget comparisons to the West.
They are gorgeous people. This would be one of the best videos I have watch about living in the Philippines. I am living in Thailand. You made the right choice.
One of your best blogs Phillip, really good, yes you’re right about the people over there, might be poor and just get by, but always helping one another in times of crisis, Amazing beautiful attitude, most welcoming people on the planet.. 👍👍
Best video you have made. Yes, feeling connected means so much. Also had that experience in India, but Philippines has yet to be explored. Keep it coming 🙏🏻❤️😃
Greetings Phillip! we are the same age! and I constantly watch your videos and through them I fall in love with the Philippines more and more! Thank you for your wonderful videos! The Philippines is truly a different planet compared to the Western world! I love their Masquerade celebrations in Bacolod and Sinulog in Cebu! this is fantastic!!!🤩🤩🤩❤
Well done !!! Where are you at 6;27? Beautiful Mountains!! I like Mindinao personally, have family there. Glad you keep it positive, so Many visit and non stop complaining about the Pi. Enjoy your videos
Mr Bigg it’s videos like this that made me want to visit. I’ve just returned home after three weeks in the Philippines. I spent one week in General Santos. I love the country and I’m already planning my next exodus from the USA to go back. My plans are to follow your footsteps and move their permanently.
I've been living in the Philippines "Red Zone " as you call it for 5 years now. Before that I was in Cavite on Luzon Island for 2.5 years. It's the people that keep me here. I visited Vietnam 5 years the infrastructure and the food was better there but didn't connect with the people bc of the language barrier. I'm planning a visit to Thailand in January but feel already language will bring me back to the Philippines.
Don't know what you got til it's gone. . . So much is said in this video about the people, the culture and how intoxicating it can be for foreignors. Although many like to explore other regions, there is a pull from the Philippines that many other SE Asian countries can't provide. Although you aren't a pollyanna about PI land, it has gotten under your skin and will be hard to resist. . .
Very positive video....maybe too positive. Here are already enough old expats, don't help to make the pinoys an aging society 😊 But honestly, the beauty seems to fade for older men when they find themselfs here after 6 months or so with nothing senseful to do except taking advantage of the happy hour in bars. Just another day in paradise, as Phil was singing
Phillip, Is this from your archives... pretty sure I've seen this one before. Well, if indeed you are back in PH better luck with your attitude (or half a glass) this time around. Peace and Love, B Goat
I get wary just about all the time when Filipinos are overly friendly with me... After coming and going for over 40+ years, My six sense is the feeling that they want something from me.
Welcome Sir. Firstly I advise checking out a number of different cities - get an AirBnB for a couple of weeks in each city to get a feel for the place. Cebu and Davao are totally different. Cebu is a compact city, close to some great islands whereas Davao city is spread out. Check my earlier videos. Good luck.
I used a Globe sim for 4 years. But recently discovered that with Smart you can load "Magic data" which doesn't have an expiry date, so if you don't use much data, $5 will last forever! You can buy one at the airport on arrival.
Wrong again BooHoo. This was all shot on my Canon which I've used for the majority of my videos and has a proper 1" sensor. The new Osmo DJI Pocket3 doesn't actually have a 1" sensor as it's falsely been advertised to have.
17:03 Kid looks like you ,is there something we don’t know, mmm boy ? A vin a laugh ,I remember the old 12 inch record s you used to save up and go and buy a 12 inch record on a Saturday and listen to it everyday for ever .now we are so spoilt ,Don’t cry for me Filipino ,The truth is I never loved you ,all through my sad days you keep your distance,I spent my money I keep your sisters 😂.
Look at people in general and you will see they didn't real choose ... things just happened by chance in their life... and you are not an exception ! why didn't you get married and have children ? well, it just didn't happen... is generally the answer.
I want to move to poomaguete to have a punch up with the local expats. It seems they all get down to it! Pushing and shovin! Well ard. Must be all those cute ladies they have all been with! u lookin at my bird! Gawd almighty would not be amused.
Hate to say it, but check the number of views. His Pinoy videos, on average, get way more views. Much like when he was in India. My prediction would be a return to PI land in the near future. . .

Such a nice video, What a warm and friendly atmosphere.

Great overview of your time in the Philippines Philip!
"True" by Spandau Ballet is one of my favorite 80s songs. It still holds today.
Well done !!!

Many thanks for your donation Lawrence. Much appreciated.
Age doesnt matter; money matters.
In America, yes!
Hi Phil, Loving the videos. Hope you go to Baguio soon??
I hope so too!
"Night boat to Cairo" was by Madness... Great band lead singer "Suggs" ...Great content mate.
Cheers. Yeah, I saw Madness a few times early on. I was getting confused with the Duran Duran song "Night Boat."

What a great life you’ve got, Phil 👍

Missing your content Mr Phil love big mate keep enjoying traveling 🎉

Young beautiful women are always available - that makes up for other things being not available.
Sometimes love is a slow burner. Great video Philip. One of your best in my opinion.
In the Philippines family is wherever you go, your video is proof of that. Well done. I nominate you for the R-I-C-K-Y award
Reekay
No, BooHoo, Mike is right. I'm talking about a different Ricky from British TV.
@@BiggWorldCinema respectfully, I was thinking, Ricky Gervais and the girl from your earlier video you rode with on the motorcycle with
He means Ricky from Eastenders....😂
Newbie to the Phil’s deciding to either settle in Cebu or Davao? Can you give some tips

Can you please advise what is the best Philippine SIM card? I don't use a lot of data. Can you get it on arrival? Thanks
I used a Globe sim for 4 years. But recently discovered that with Smart you can load "Magic data" which doesn't have an expiry date, so if you don't use much data, $5 will last forever!
You can buy one at the airport on arrival.
Your 'normal' voice (well, near normal) worked fine in this vid. Sure is a lot better than 'Mr Sing-Song'.
wow! ♥️🇵🇭
Thanks for embracing the Philippines. I know that you see the negative stuff in the country but will not mention it.
He is new. They come, and they go. He will hate it.
You are kidding, right?
Yeah he said the same thing 2 years ago when I was new new. Now I've been here 5 years I'm just "new."
@@BiggWorldCinema I am a miserable sod, but they do come and they do go. The place wears. I shouldn`t have said that you will hate it. Some don`t.
This has to be your most enduring post ever. Thank you, and keep up that great work. Cheers
Good video Philip!
Did you ever listen to the Chameleons UK ? Just saw them in Boston USA
Wait. Is this about you or BWC?
One of your best!
If not best ever!
It´s amazing how you´ve been consistently improving the quality of your content. Congratulations.
Well, he's using a one inch sensor now.
Wrong again BooHoo. This was all shot on my Canon which I've used for the majority of my videos and has a proper 1" sensor. The new Osmo DJI Pocket3 doesn't actually have a 1" sensor as it's falsely been advertised to have.

Probably his best ever!
So, where is your favorite place in the Philippines to live?
"Confessions of a Philippines Traveler"

I miss that nut Darrell, for just a minute every once in awhile. When is the live chat?
You miss his manic behaviour? Ha! In Okinawa now. Might schedule a live stream for next weekend. You good?
😎👍🇺🇲
I'm glad I don't like to talk. I'll take Thailand and skip the big cities

sounds like your miserable in Japan or something and dying to go back to PH already. confused why there is barely any Japan content
I was wondering the same. Perhaps a live chat will answer all questions?
