I keep losing close games too. Before, I had the lag on my side for a while, but now it’s fully against me. I guess it’s just my time. I got back into Pokemon because of PoGo so it truly sucks to see them just tanking it. The Pokemon Company needs to do something about it. How can they not? It’s their brand, so they would be able to tell them to sell, no? But they too would lose money

Unfortunately a lot of these things were already in the terms of service, most people just didn’t notice them until the updated terms came out and they decided to read the whole thing. Most of the newly added terms are things like being forced to opt out of class action lawsuits, Niantic’s right to get your information and delivery addresses from Amazon, and other tracking bs. But Niantic’s TOS have literally always been anti-consumer. It’s basically there to cover their asses in every way possible. And now they’ve updated it to cover them even more by preventing you from suing them.

Yes, there where I live almost everyone have stopped playing because of a spoofer he owns every gym here and if someone defeats those gyms he reports them with his almost 100 accounts and then they get banned and we can't ban him although we have tried

We have all got to get together and quit this game for a week. That will get Niantic so worried. I am already not playing most days this summer because it's too hot and I don't want to waste a quarter tank of gas and have more wear and tear on my car.
It’s almost fact that they have been distributing your data. An issue that was brought up over a year ago when major changes took place. They added to terms of service just to say he you agreed even though we have been doing it for probably over 2+ years.
Id like to see communities come together and use their combined power. A one week block where no one uses the platform would send a message and set a standard to follow for other situations where people are bullied.

I uninstalled it as soon as I realized how bad the new terms were. They can legally create a back door into any device you have it on and do anything with all of the photos, videos, data, etc. Also they could give this access to anyone legally. Last but not least anyone that knows what they’re doing could also use this back door. This is just like t e m u and ti k to k.
No sure if your correct about this, Apple would clearly remove their app from the Apple Store if what you said is correct, there a limitation in Apples terms and service also , plus there are also local laws and here in Japan privacy is so high up that if what you said is correct it would be breaking laws here and they would end up in massive legal action.
@@roadsofjapan6009 Apple has Tik Tok and there’s a reason the US gov is going to ban it if they don’t sell the company. There’s a bunch of people who made videos about that in the past few years. One of the bigger names to talk about is the Joe podcast but that was a couple years back.
Also apple themselves put a back door on i phones a while back and they used the excuse that it was to stop people from downloading illegal content. All this information was available to the public but of course was swept under the rug. I recommend doing your own research and going down that rabbit hole when you have the time. Read the terms of service on all of these.
One of the first things they put in the new terms on go was the inability to sue them.
Which is why they probably made it so that we can’t sue them AT ALL

This is just completely conspiracy theory, but I think Niantic just covering for the end of PoGo. I think it can go on forever, but in case parties involved pull the plug Niantic is covered. I’m sure Niantic doesn’t want to be sued into oblivion because of something outside of their control. Some PoGo players are class action lawsuits happy.
This is nothing more than bad management with individuals inside with a severe lack of understanding in what a game needs that captivates and convinces the rest of the board to agree. These are simply missing now and have been for ages, as Niantic dominantly pushed positions that forced talent to move to Japan and/or can speak the language at a level that isn’t feasible to learn in a few months.
This as you can imagine caused a major talent gap in their workforce, with many positions unfilled, and only since a few months they finally realised it wasn’t such a good idea.
Again something that could be noticed in an early stage by the right person, but wasn’t there, didn’t care or misses the passion, the need for what it might cause. In turn we see everyone holding their hands up, blaming different parties and/or victimising themselves because they forgot millions of players still play this game and they forget how big that number is and might just come with a few rotten apples.
All signs of of poor management, or from my experience: A missing leader with empathy, passion, curiosity and determination to show the beauty of a game and can tie player happiness with growth and business together. Always aim for the CEO, they are the most fragile unlike many might think.

This was the first year that I didn't do the pokemon go fest because I'm honestly just not having fun any longer with a company that refuses to fix issues in their game that we've been asking for, erases women from the game to make this androgynous 'thing' and the fact that they literally hate us by doing shady stuff all the time. I will never spend another dime in the game and haven't spent money for almost a year now. Get woke go broke.

I just interpreted "opting out" as saying, "I don't agree with your terms." Therefore Niantic won't let you log in until you opt in. Pretty harsh but I wouldn't be surprised. People need to realize that if you have a deeply rooted problem with the way a company runs itself, it's fine to quit. I know it sucks but it's the only way the company will change.
And before people start asking if I'm still playing or not, I am, but I barely ever spend money on the game (I spent like 10 bucks in the last 2 years). That's how I protest.

Collecting retro games and displaying them on my shelf was ace. Now i have to download the games and pay for licenses and not even own the copy. When additional content is bought, for an already purchased game, you still need to be online to play it! What a joke.

A contract or terms of service means nothing if harmed a judge would toss the contract if its bunk second, things are already too expensive 100$ gets very very little it's nuts. It sucks i really do like the game if prices would drop like 60% and instead of lag maybe it could show a timer ⌛ showing who hit the charge first i would be 100% satisfied and most people would so it is really odd they dont do something like that

In the week before gofest, the target was 30 million raids. Times that by $1 that doesn't even include the gofest ticket or all of the necrozma raids. That is a lot of money. And they game is still broken and basic.

The go league thing doesn't effect me. I don't like pvp in any game so i only participate if there is a pokemon or task is locked behind it. I only play for the collection side of things (gotta catch'm all)

Niantic forgot to add at least one, which just adding another layer onto the joke itself, Niantic: "Niantic is not to blame in any way, neither a refund or a compensation possible, when/if Niantic make mistakes during events, adding new systems, testing content or deleting/changing/tweaking stuff that the players have paid money for"
There is a way to keep at least some of Pokemon you caught in Go. Send them to Home, and you have the Pokemon forever. I am considering doing this with my bad IV shiny mythicals and using bottle caps on them to make them better.
After I read those terms and service I deleted the app. It wasn't hard at all, niantic made it easy for me. Thank you Poke AK for holding it down, you're a real one. If niantic thinks its too big to fail they are wrong, eventually people will have enough of their crap and they will delete the app.

If you decline the new terms and conditions you won't be able to sign in until you accept it's states you have 30 days to change your mind yet I haven't found anything where this is possible so basically they're saying let us access your phones or don't play anymore
I quit playing last year after playing for 8 years 24/7. Niantic’s response to their mistakes which cost everyone money is really bad. And them openly not caring as long as they keep making money is sad.

I’m on niantics side for the whole refunds on stuff. When you buy a raid pass for example there is no guarantee that you will get what you want so the thought that people think they “turn off shinys” is such bs.

Thank you for saying how we all feel. And thank you for saying it in the tone that you did. We hate that they own everything we’ve worked so hard for at our real life jobs. We hate that they’re going to be able to legally track our data and view what apps we have downloaded on our phones. About the chest thing with the avatars, I noticed if you use the muscle slider and turn it down as well, you can bring the chest down to a normal state. ^^

They are actually true in few points. We own our phone but not the apps running in it. It's all subscription based things happening around and i don't even care doing anything in it. It's just like you said bro "I Just Don't Care Anymore" what they throw on us. I am so busy playing Pokémon Sleep that it made me completely ignore Pokémon GO. Pokémon Sleep is more subtle and comfortable for ME. In Pokémon Sleep you don't need to run around anymore, just sleep and get a Pokemon in the morning.
Before this, I wasn't playing Pokemon Go much. Now I'm not gonna play at all.

Ever since Uber this have been the wave but I have yet to see any of these terms of service agreements actually prevent a class action. Uber sent all these terms of service update to riders and drivers and they have still settled numerous class actions since; they have been sued in California they just settled a 384million dollar suit with the state of New York these TOS just don’t hold up in court. Companies do not care about customer service anymore unfortunately these companies are too entitled these days.

What is even the point of the "terms" in these terms and conditions if they can just put that they cannot sue you? The entire point of the terms is so that you know what they can and cannot do, but NOPE all they have to do is put that you cannot sue them and all of the sudden there untouchable.
There stealing your personal data? Ah but you signed the terms and conditions and it says you can't sue them. Find out something they said was misleading? Oooh rough luck you can't sue them. Have the items you paid for get removed from the game completely? Don't even think about sueing them.
I understand that putting some things the players want put in games is hard/costs money and that we cannot understand unless we made a game ourselves, but honestly at this point the game is better off being untouched. I didn't realize it was possible to go spiraling down so quickly but here we are.
